Hi Glen and Liza just ordered evolution respirator from axminster tools hopefully it will save my lungs and my face great demo thanks for saving my lungs cheers Ray
Axminster tools can't ship to the US right now, I hope that changes soon. This is just the kind of mask/respirator I'm looking for. Thanks for the video!
Glen and Liza thank you for the quick response to my question about the AXMINSTER APF 10 EVOLUTION® POWERED RESPIRATOR. I am going to the Newark woodturning show in March so will purchase one there. Charles
I purchased a JSP Powercap some years ago, which had a separate battery box connected by a cable. The current battery-attached JSP Powercap looks identical to the ones you use, but I noticed that Poolewood - from whom I purchased mine - have them on sale on the 'net at £257.50 with free postage. I agree with all your positive comments, especially the lack of the slightly awkward cable and the separate battery box which had to be tucked in a pocket or clipped to a belt.
This is the one I use as well and I agree with everything said, it's very comfortable and does the job perfectly. I just wish the batteries weren't so expensive...
I have the sundstrim 570 powered respirator with the fan unit on my back absolutely brilliant I do not turn or sand without it thank you Glenn and Liza
Good. Too many people are turning and sanding without a mask, let alone a respirator. You can hear them coughing. Once it's in your lungs, there is no way out.
I am going back and forth. I just got the Trend and the helmet suspension is like a hard hat. I ended up with a headache and thought I did not have it adjusted right. I wore a hard hat for over 40 years and it all came back to me what it was like. I am in the States and saw Axminster doesn't ship to the US so I got the Trend. I just found Pek Safety had the Power cap for $579 and a combo kit extra filters and pre filters and visor over lay for $650. I put them in my cart to see if the order would bounce and got no warning about not shipping to the States. How does the power cap sit on your head? Does it have internal suspension ? I may take the plunge after Liza said she forgot she had it on. So I am debating sending the Trent back and buying the Powercap.
Well put! I'm looking to upgrade my PPE, as I'm starting to feel sick from all the dust I'm breathing. Is the Axminster and the JSP version the same? Who are actually producing this helmet, I can't figure it out.
just got this the other day ,And I have two problems that I dislike ,When waring the mask I can see reflective light from the rooms lighting ,On the inside of the mask making it hard to see out ? Any idea why its doing this ??? And the top of the maskes hat is digging into my head making it very uncomfortble ,Love the way that it is made and I dont want to send it back ,Would love to find a solution .And I cant use my over the ear defenders .
Sorry can't comment on this as I have not experienced this myself. I can honestly say, it is the only item I have bought from Axminster that I am 100% happy with. Same for Liza.

Good choice. Thank you so much for listening. It's a shame more people don't. They learn eventually.
That was one of the first things I brought when I started woodturning
Good. Very important. Protect your lungs.

Welcome to the channel Paul. Yes, a lot of problems with Customs. Hence why we have not been shipping overseas.

Nice one. Definitely worth it.

Thanks Don for your comment.

It's so lightweight. We highly recommend it.
I just paused at 4:21. Liza, I thought it was going to be pink.

There are many versions of it. This is from Axminster. JSP is just more expensive.
Thank you, I have seen you wearing it. Do you know if they are sold in the US?
Battery fire on this thing would be an adventure.
I have the JSP version, exactly the same, just a different sticker…often cheaper!
That's great Steve. As long as you are wearing one, that's the main point.
