We explore a few of the many ways to spice up your DJ sets with Traktor and the Kontrol S4's powerful FX sections. Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol S-4 bit.ly/bhkontro...
@BrooklynStyle106 We have not encountered any consistent issues with the NuMark NS6. That said - many customers prefer the Traktor Pro S4 software which has the reputation of being both simple and intuitive. If you have any experience with digital DJ'ing then the Kontrol S4 FX will be a joy to use.
@BrooklynStyle106 If this is your first mixer and you want a real "old school" vinyl feel - the NuMark NS6 is the way to go. It's platters are large and have weighted like an actual TT. It is robust and easy to use and is a stand-alone mixer without a computer if so desired.
@BrooklynStyle106 There is no reason that you would have a problem using this controller on a Dell computer as long as it meets the minimum requirements. The system should have an Intel Core 2 Duo processor at 2.4GHz or faster, 4GB of RAM or more, and a free USB port.
I , a beginner, truly appreciate your videos. Step by step, easy to follow/understand. Im on the market and have been undecided for a while as to what controller I wanna buy. Im stuck between the Numark NS6 and Traktor S4..... ANY ADVICE ??
@criga29 Hi Criga29. The first track, playing from 0:17 to 0:23, is called "Panawave" by Phantom Power with a lot of reverb on it from the Kontrol S4's effects.
I like your video since it explains the beasic ideas of the different effects in Traktor. But your first example for the chain mode misses the point. At 5:11 all the parameters are on their max which has exactly the same effect as in chained mode... So in this case there is no difference.
@TheJpreed RESPONSE: You may want to try un-installing and re-installing the Traktor Pro software again. If the problem persists, please contact Native Instruments Tech Support Team: Tel: 866-556-6487
@BHPhotoVideoProAudio thanks for the advice... Im hesitant because of some of the negative feedback I have read in the past couple days about the NS6... Music 'freezing' and having to calibrate the jog wheels, etc.... I also hear the S4 has better software ? Im so undecided..... any other advice/help ?
@BHPhotoVideoProAudio one more quick question, related to the NS6......i keep reading a Dell laptop is not compatible with the NS6 ? Can you please elaborate on this ?

@talkinghead22 Yes, this is the same guy. Nice to know someone heard those tracks ;)
Is this the same Rob Rives who released tracks under the name Floppy Sounds and on labels like Yoshitoshi?
Thanks Rob
