But it's not exactly true. According to Sonic Chronicles, the Nocturnus Clan is still there, albeit trapped in the Twilight Zone. You bring Shade, another echidna, into Sonics world in the end. His clan is dead, yes, but he really isn't the last echidna. But if she would've dropped one line about Ken Penders, it would've been over immediately.

That was even acknowledge in another rap battle (Wanda vs Maleficent) which was also an one side battle by the way, but not near as Eleven vs Matilda. And after having analyzed every line, I can safely declare that Matilda wouldn’t have won the rap battle with just her first verse (both of Eleven’s verses combined are stronger and edge Matilda’s first by a small amount). And good to see someone else who thought Knuckles vs. Undyne was close, especially considering how I am on the side who thought Knuckles won (and didn’t think Undyne was lacking for the most part).

I dunno about that line, Knuckles has an entire world of animals and people to fight for with some probably as equally compatible to him as anything Undyne is fighting for. Idk if it's the Undertale's fault for grouping all monsters as one species/race but it couldn't find this working well against Knuckles. In addition I don't remember all to well but Knuckles isn't really the very LAST echinda in the series.

Honestly might be my favorite battle of yours so far this year. Toss up between this and Sweeney vs Bateman. The animations pop the Hell off, Patrick continues to impress me with his talent. The lyrics were a good balance of fun jokes and hard hitting jabs. Combined with the stellar voice performances this felt like an actual BATTLE. TEV did a great job, and Cami is destined to be one of the most iconic rap battle performances period. Love it!
Both were brutal, but Undyne just... Got the upper hand on the counters. Also, as a guardian, Undyne may even be a little comic at times, but you only see that side once you befriend her. Until then, she's simply FEARSOME, no matter the route. The line about "abandoning the land he was supposed to protect" really hurt - Also, fact that Knuckles is more remembered as a joke than Undyne, even outside the memes.(...Well, not really because after the first, on every title he appears, Knuckles becomes another meme.)

While Knuckles lost all his rings. On the last scene, it's implicit that Knuckles would be insta-KO'd at least. So in two fronts, Knuckles loses, considering moral and mechanic-wise. Comparing that to a single line that reflects more about the player controlling the ten-year-old kid and ignoring Undyne's whole arc where she doesn't change, neither does she BUDGE from her spot, UNLESS you're going pacifist, *only then* you can learn more about her and see another side to her personality, not mentioning the WHOLE THING about the Genocide arc where she goes FULL BERSERK and becomes one of the only two bosses you face and that gives you a hard time, only below SANS, you're really being a quite a bit blindfolded there. Extra: Alphys fools Undyne into believing about Anime, yes, but mind you about how much time they spent underground. And this only led her to be even more focused about guarding her spot. And how she also lies to THE PLAYER about everything, until the end of her route. Alphys and Eggman are different in the way Eggman played Knuckles up to steal the only thing he was guarding and succeeded, while Alphys didn't really mean to, but got addicted to a life of lies after the mistake with the Determination experiments, and even SHE repents by the end of her route, either by telling you the truth after you face Mettaton, then if you're going full-Pacifist, the whole act in the True Lab, or by actually TRYING to make Mettaton into a full defender on Genocide Route. The only snag about that is that it's almost useless to try and fight a murderous being with an almost-maxed-out psycho rating.

Undyne's sprites are absolutely amazingly animated. At 1:24 it looks like you just motion tracked a person and rigged them up with the sprite. It's that good. ♥

I just love this battle ever since I heard it on the album. Cami-Cat just nails her role as Undyne, as she has tried and done Undynes' voice before. While the True Evil Villian played Knuckles just as well. _(It also reminded me of the live action movie version of Knuckles with the voice) All around, it's a good battle, and I cannot wait to see how good the next one is going to be.

Listening to Undyne YELL these insults at Knuckles is pure bliss and utter perfection. It makes it so fun to rap along with. It's so perfectly in character too. Her battle cry, her personality, even her normal theme. The way these battles are written every single time ASTOUNDS me. Knuckles is much more clever and sharp than you'd expect him to be, too. Thanks to the Flanderization, no doubt.
I know when a new rap battle comes out, everytime I see as it amazing and it gets worse overtime, after the hype. But I feel like this one is pretty safe. It's insanely brutal and epic on both sides, the delivery and voice casting is perfect. I love it all the way.

1:58 "Sega made you drop your duties for the green" wait is that a double? Because Knuckles regularly drops his duties on Angel Island to help Sonic save the Green Hills and, y'know, green as in money.
I know Im late but I saw this whilst rewatching the battle and I’d like to add: This is actually a triple with the next bar, “dropped your duties for the GREEN and you CANT ESCAPE it” In Undertale, Undyne’s battle gives you the Green Soul color, which has a different gameplay mechanic, but it also removes the FLEE option, so you can’t escape the battle, which you can see how it lines up!
I feel like this battle's deciding factor was the ways the characters were written. undyne just felt more like a hero and the fact that she died in battle just hits so much harder since in the end she won, she bought time for her race to hide and survive whereas knuckles survived himself but failed to protect his people and since the battle was focused on the hero architype undyne won. I feel like if knuckles was more layed back or mocked the premise of undertale more it would be closer but in the setting of this battle undyne just wins.
Knuckles was either too young or hasn't even been born at the time Chaos attacked the echidna tribe so it wasn't really his fault that they're all dead and about her fighting for the monsters in the Underground is also something Knuckles does by fighting for his friends and all the other Mobians.
I think this might be the first time I’ve seen someone win a rap battle with the first lines of their verse alone but goddamn that Angel Island line was just cold as hell.
Props to both of the rappers for putting so much emotion into their verses! Undyne took the win due to lyrical skill, but everyone's intensity was amazing!
Undoubtedly one of my favourites. Not only because is one of the few recent RB that you made with both characters being ones I'm super familiar with, but also because it was generally amazing; the rhymes, style, background music, the animation (especially Undyne's)... Also, both voice actors were impeccable, but JESUS, Cami-Cat as Undyne had the best line deliveries in any character in a Fictional Rap Battle I've seen, the emotion she puts in every bar is unbelievable and very true to Undyne's character. Now THESE rap battles are what make this channel so outstanding in comparison to other RB content creators.

Everyone’s talking about the rapping, but I’m talking about the animation. It’s absolutely phenomenal especially with how the art style changes for the characters depending on which universe their in; how Knuckles turns 16-bit when he’s in UNDERTALE’s art style and how Undyne turns 3d and is animated in stop-motion when in Knuckles art style. Huge round of applause for GamingPlush64!

Gonna have to give this one to Knuckles. He was more diverse with his roasts, while Undyne either had roasts that dragged on a bit too long, or just reused some of them. Both were amazing though. Edit: also Scout TF2 vs Jesse Pinkman is now my dream matchup
What hard-hitting roast did Knuckles have? He just mentioned Asgore dying and then talked for a while about Alphys being a bad match for her, then it was just a bunch of wordplay.
Yeah my opinion is balanced towards them both because of how good they did. Knuckles mentions how, Undyne lost to a ten year old, how while she's flirting with a scientist, he beats scientists on the regular. Mentioned how Asgore died and how it affected Undyne, even after all the past time. Then mentions how she is a warrior yet she almost dies of dehydration and how he implements if he just spilled the water/tea it's her grave. Undyne's roasts were also very good and I can see why many people were convinced that she won. Literally mentions how he went from being a threat to reduced to Sonic's 'clown' how Sega made him abandon his island for a gag. A lot of people probably think the main reason Undyne won was because of the 'racist meme' line the 'I'm the only one who has a race left to fight for' and the line about Knuckles' parents. But most of the lines goes to say 'Ha! Your Race is Dead!' In my opinion it's a tie but I do feel like Knuckles' lines were slightly overlooked

Comparing that to a single line that reflects more about the player controlling the ten-year-old kid and ignoring Undyne's whole arc where she doesn't change, neither does she BUDGE from her spot, UNLESS you're going pacifist, *only then* you can learn more about her and see another side to her personality, not mentioning the WHOLE THING about the Genocide arc where she goes FULL BERSERK and becomes one of the only two bosses you face and that gives you a hard time, only below SANS, you're really being a quite a bit blindfolded there.
Extra: Alphys fools Undyne into believing about Anime, yes, but mind you about how much time they spent underground. And this only led her to be even more focused about guarding her spot. And how she also lies to THE PLAYER about everything, until the end of her route. Alphys and Eggman are different in the way Eggman played Knuckles up to steal the only thing he was guarding and succeeded, while Alphys didn't really mean to, but got addicted to a life of lies after the mistake with the Determination experiments, and even SHE repents by the end of her route, either by telling you the truth after you face Mettaton, then if you're going full-Pacifist, the whole act in the True Lab, or by actually TRYING to make Mettaton into a full defender on Genocide Route. The only snag about that is that it's almost useless to try and fight a murderous being with an almost-maxed-out psycho rating.
She still gets no diffed by a child.

Listening to Undyne YELL these insults at Knuckles is pure bliss and utter perfection. It makes it so fun to rap along with. It's so perfectly in character too. Her battle cry, her personality, even her normal theme. The way these battles are written every single time ASTOUNDS me.
Knuckles is much more clever and sharp than you'd expect him to be, too. Thanks to the Flanderization, no doubt.

This is actually a triple with the next bar, “dropped your duties for the GREEN and you CANT ESCAPE it”
In Undertale, Undyne’s battle gives you the Green Soul color, which has a different gameplay mechanic, but it also removes the FLEE option, so you can’t escape the battle, which you can see how it lines up!

I feel like this battle's deciding factor was the ways the characters were written. undyne just felt more like a hero and the fact that she died in battle just hits so much harder since in the end she won, she bought time for her race to hide and survive whereas knuckles survived himself but failed to protect his people and since the battle was focused on the hero architype undyne won. I feel like if knuckles was more layed back or mocked the premise of undertale more it would be closer but in the setting of this battle undyne just wins.
How do you expect a kid to protect his people. Knuckles was a kid when his clan was wiped out.

It felt like Undyne delivered a killing throw with every verse she got, while Knuckles spent most his time on baseless threats and silly jokes.

Undoubtedly one of my favourites. Not only because is one of the few recent RB that you made with both characters being ones I'm super familiar with, but also because it was generally amazing; the rhymes, style, background music, the animation (especially Undyne's)...
Also, both voice actors were impeccable, but JESUS, Cami-Cat as Undyne had the best line deliveries in any character in a Fictional Rap Battle I've seen, the emotion she puts in every bar is unbelievable and very true to Undyne's character. Now THESE rap battles are what make this channel so outstanding in comparison to other RB content creators.

It’s absolutely phenomenal especially with how the art style changes for the characters depending on which universe their in; how Knuckles turns 16-bit when he’s in UNDERTALE’s art style and how Undyne turns 3d and is animated in stop-motion when in Knuckles art style. This was the most intense track in the album, and I'm so glad that the animation reflects this in spades.

Gonna have to give this one to Knuckles. He was more diverse with his roasts, while Undyne either had roasts that dragged on a bit too long, or just reused some of them. Both were amazing though.

What hard-hitting roast did Knuckles have? He just mentioned Asgore dying and then talked for a while about Alphys being a bad match for her, then it was just a bunch of wordplay.

Yeah my opinion is balanced towards them both because of how good they did. Knuckles mentions how, Undyne lost to a ten year old, how while she's flirting with a scientist, he beats scientists on the regular. Mentioned how Asgore died and how it affected Undyne, even after all the past time. Then mentions how she is a warrior yet she almost dies of dehydration and how he implements if he just spilled the water/tea it's her grave.
Undyne's roasts were also very good and I can see why many people were convinced that she won. Literally mentions how he went from being a threat to reduced to Sonic's 'clown' how Sega made him abandon his island for a gag. A lot of people probably think the main reason Undyne won was because of the 'racist meme' line the 'I'm the only one who has a race left to fight for' and the line about Knuckles' parents. But most of the lines goes to say 'Ha! Your Race is Dead!'
In my opinion it's a tie but I do feel like Knuckles' lines were slightly overlooked
