Fun fact, “What’s the use of feeling blue” can be interpreted in 2 ways.
One being literally “what’s the use of feeling blue”, in which case the question is “what’s the use of feeling sad”.
Or it can be interpreted as “What’s the use of feeling, Blue”. In which case Yellow is directing the question at Blue and is asking her “what is the use of feeling anything at all.”
Knowing Yellow, the second option seems a bit more likely.

I think the intention is that it's meant to be both ways. She's asking what's the use of feeling at all, but she's also asking what the use of continuing to mourn is.
"Let's Only Think About Love" is spoilers: the musical. If there's one song to avoid, that's it. It's a shame, since it's such a great one, but I can't overstate how much it just summaries all the plot twists.

"Do it for her" has more visible darker connotations, with context- Steven being distressed at the end is accurate
The thing to keep in mind is that Steven Universe is structured as a mystery for most of it, with little hints about the big picture being slowly dripped out over several seasons. When you watch certain songs you can get spoiled on major aspects of the mystery in a way that doesn't feel especially revelatory compared to how it is intended. Literally if you watched that last song that popped up, it would spoil every significant event up to late Season 5. There are many songs that aren't relevant to the overarching plot that are fine to watch anytime, but there are a significant number that happen during, or are about the aftermath of major events or revelations, that it would be best to steer clear of if you want the mystery to unfold as intended.
Well, to be fair, Conny's song about fighting for Steven is cute, but it gets way darker once you start paying attention to the lyrics and context. Pearl is basically teaching Conny to die for Steven if the fight needs it. Because Steven, like Rose, should be considered like the most important, over everything else. Meaning that Conny, and so Pearl, doesn't have any value. It's a great insight on Pearl's psichy and how deep her traumas go. It's already heart breaking with that context alone but when looking at the full picture of Steven Universe... I just feel so bad for Pearl, she needs therapy and hugs. She's my favorite, by far.
Little did he know if he hit play on that last song the biggest plot spoiler would be revealed in the first line 😅
You've barely begun on Steven's journey, but since you've been spoilered a bit by these songs, I feel that I can take the liberty of saying that this show that began with Steven's angst over the coming disappearance of Cookie Cats will soon ask questions about whether there are things worth fighting for...and maybe dying for.

Well that's the downside of not knowing the context of the songs 😅..... Although if you actually analyze the lyrics of the song, especially in the last parts of it... You can kinda guess why Steven looks so worried at the end.
Also please pay attention to what songs you shouldn't watch because they're filled with spoilers.... "Let's only think about Love" and "Happily Ever After" are some of the songs you have to avoid at all costs, actually.... Any song from Steven Universe the Movie and Steven Universe Future should be out of the question as well.

I know this videos gets a lot of views but seeing some songs before their time can really spoil some big twists. I love your reactions since you are one of the few that actually share your mind and even pause or go back a few seconds to give an opinion instead of silently watching for most of the time and it be a shame to lose (mainly for you) the shock value that some episodes brings

The main singer in what's the use of feeling blue is one of the most famous Broadway stars of all time, Patti Lupone (3 Tonys for Evita, Gypsy and Company)

Regarding the "Do It For Her" song (spoiler warning) though not exactly 'cause it's implied in the song itself), Steven is uncomfortable because he doesn't like how Pearl is basically turning Connie into his knight under her own preferences.
Essentially she's teaching Connie to not care about herself and _only_ care about Steven, to devote herself and be willing to DIE just for him. Which is not what Steven wants, because he thought Connie was just getting simple training lessons

I love your content!! YSK that Steven Universe is very broadway-esque in its songs, so a lot of them are key storytelling moments. However, if I had to give a list of total spoiler songs (which also, unfortunately, are all bangers) i'd say:
-Stronger than you (S1, though this was a lot of people's entry point into the show so depending on what cut you get it might not be bad)
-Let's only think about love (90% of the show)
-Happily Ever after (Entire Show)
-The tale of Steven (literally summarises the whole show)
-Familiar (Most of the show)
-Peace and Love on the Planet Earth (Maybe wait until after s2 for that one, spoils a very very good character)
-Drift Away (the movie)
-I'd rather be me with you (su future)
-the working dead (just one character)
-Full disclosure (the visuals spoil season 1)

I'm okay with you listening to some of the songs ahead of time like the ones you did today but trust me, do NOT listen to "Let's only think about love" just yet, heavy spoilers for season 5 and changes the way you see the show. Such a shame cause its such a beautiful song.

The best solution of course is to just binge watch it all :D Then you get the songs **and** get to see what's coming next! If you mostly do all the recording you can get farther with less editing. Hope you keep enjoying! This wasn't too bad spoiler wise thankfully - A few of the other songs people have mentioned will def be... a lot. One good thing to keep in mind even if you think you'll forget you def will remember some things and it's definitely some things it's nicer to experience as you go. I know a few people who figured they'd forget stuff, or wouldn't care and their main regret was assuming that when they got to the things they accidentally spoiled for themselves.

11:27 Someone probably already said this but the reason he didn’t react positively to it is because Steven is all about being happy go lucky and lighthearted and while he wants to defend his friends and family and planet, he’d rather not resort to putting others at risk or inflicting harmful levels of pain to others. And in seeing Pearl train Connie to be his knight, and teaching her to lay down her life for him, it’s not what he wants, he wants to be able to fight side by side with Connie, not as something she needs to protect.
Steven was worried for Connie in do it for him/her song because of how Pearl was taking the training too seriously. The gems can retrieve to their gem forms when their bodies get hurt like if they get stabbed or something, but humans like Connie would just die

I guess they're not out yet there because last one I saw was episode 7 and 8 posted 3 days ago.. for me Like a Comet is my favorite Greg Universe song.. and yes Greg is his real name, when he met Rose Quartz, Steven's mom he was an aspiring rock star (with an ass of an agent too but we only see him around the end of season 1) but decided to abandon his dream to be with Rose

not only is yellow such a strong singer and personality, but also it goes into thier two extremes of gieff. yellow shoves it all down, bottles up her emotions and throws herself at her work, while blue is neglecting her people, her work, her family even. one tries to hide her misery, while the other one drowns in it. it makes yellow cruel and hard, while blue is almost useless and swollowed up by depression.

Steven isn't happy at the end of "Do It For Her" because pearl has convinced Connie that she has no purpose outside of protecting Steven. I won't say anything else because spoilers, but if you rewatch it, you can see connie go from being eager but still herself, to completely willing to throw her life away.
