Chris, that's just incredible. You are so talented that you do not even have enough words to describe. I'm very glad that I subscribed to your channel, for every video of yours, it's for me the discovery of something amazing, magical, extraordinary. Thank you very much for your work.
I am completely speechless for this work! Wow Chris Cheng! You are THE VERY BEST in coloring! I love your great work every day more and more!! :) :) :)
OMG Chris, I adore this!!!! This is, without a doubt, one of the best face colourings I have ever seen! I can't wait to see the rest of the picture so I can start working on mine. Thank you so very much for taking the time to make your tutorials that help so many other colourists out there, I would be lost without them :)
Kate O You're right, we would be lost without her. I stare at a blank page like a rabbit caught in the headlights. I am clueless. Yet I have been a creative person all my life. I make my own clothes, I have produced complex knitwear for some of the top designers in London, and in later life I taught myself to make sugar flowers so realistic that people believed they were real. Chris Cheng is everyone's life enhancer.
I’m following this! Omg my picture looks so good but it’s not in the same book it’s in a different one. Hanna Karlzon’s spirit animals! Such a wonderful coloring book highly recommend it to you Chris!
Hi Chris , when you colour , do you have small pieces of paper showing through ?no matter how many layers l put down l jus cannot seem to colour them , are some colouring books better quality than others ?
Hi Beverly, no I don't have, I usually color with light pressure if I am planning to put many many layers. I don't have the english version of this book so I am not sure the paper quality :)
Beverley Gardam Sometimes the paper has a pronounced tooth (slightly rough surface). That can make total coverage difficult. Lots of light layers with well sharpened pencils and some patience is required. If you still have annoying little gaps use a blending pencil. That pushes the colours into the tooth of the paper and also blends them together (sort of a polished effect). Although I have to say Chris does not use blending pencils!
Eleanor Dixon thankyou for that , l have tried light layers blending stump , but l still have annoying little marks , l am too fussy for my own good , l am thinking some solvent , cannot hurt .
Wow wow wow. Chris this is one of your best faces 👏 I'd love to know where others got the book this early. I preordered only to find out the stores were a month out and now delayed even longer. 😒
I bought mine from Sweden, where they sell it 3 mths before the English copies are released. Amazon is saying they will have the English release in August and Bookdepository says in September, both of those being pre-ordered and shipped after they are released. Last pre-release, a LOT of people who had pre-ordered had to wait another 4-8 weeks to receive their books for some stupid reason, so be prepared for that
Kate O that's what happened to me Kate with a previous Hanna Karlzon hardcover book so I cancelled and got the book elsewhere. Not that I recall where 😜 and to top it off I paid months ahead and they charged me $6 more than people who were ordering it close to their 'supposed' release date so I refused to allow them to keep my extra $6 and I ordered it from Amazon. In Australia we have problems. I find Amazon is often cheaper at times although the Book Depository is pretty good but they don't carry hard copies of her latest books. I just ordered it from Amazon so I'll go back and see how much it is from Sweden. I couldn't find it there originally. Thanks for your help :)
Lo I have bought colouring books from the Pen Store in Sweden, but they started posting only by DHL. The minimum charge for even one tiny item is therefore 31.25 euros. I paid up because I had no patience to wait, but I won't do it again!!!
There are 2 main places to buy her Swedish copies of her books, before the English versions are released 3 months later. PenStore and Print Works. If you buy the book from Penstore, you can expect to pay approx AUD$74 postage on top of the price of the book!!! If you buy from Printworks, the postage is free if you spend USD$50 on books/products, or if you spend below USD$50, postage is a flat fee of USD$14. I only wanted Tidevarv, so purchased that, paid the $14 postage and it was delivered to me here in Australia 10 days later
You are extremely excellent! If I would ask you to do one thing I would ask could you do a face in real time? I know that it would take a long long time but you don't know how many people you would be helping hundred and hundreds of people I shouldn't even say that. You literally would be helping thousands of people please Miss Chris if you could do that one time we your fans would be forever grateful.
This is beautiful Chris. Your colours are just brilliant.
