I am still hoping for a freshwater eel. He is one of the few people I would trust in raising one, and the tank is a suitable size for an eel. I usually feel bad watching other eel owners because the tanks they keep them in are too small. It also shouldn't pose a threat to the sting rays and his arowana is also too big for an eel to be interested in attacking. Even if he was afraid of the eel posing a threat to the other animals all he would have to do is keep it in a separate tank for a bit and feeding it the usual feed before transferring it.

Jackson Henderson 2 weeks ago my air pump stopped and water started draining from it somehow. my 70 gallon tank was about 80% drained when i found out. atleast u didn't have to drain it for a water change anymore hahah.
Joey I am an HVAC tech and manager with a piece of advice for you on your heater setup. 1st run a piece of 3/4" pipe from the heater's pressure relief valve down to the floor, leaving it 2-3 inches off the floor. if it ever blows off you do not want the hot water spraying all over everything. 2nd I recommend you run a small feed line to your water heater and set a pressure regulating valve at 5 psi with a bypass around it for filling and purging air. that would let you "power purge" all the air from your heater loop. instead of manually filling the system the return to the heater can have a automatic vent or just as you have it a nipple facing up to catch air with a manual valve on top to purge from. if you put a hose adaptor on it, the valve, you can run a hose to a drain and purge the system with ease. also since your system has almost no head, you could run it as low as 5-7 psi instead of the 13-15 that most residential systems are setup for. most residential systems are designed for at least 1 story of head at minimum because even a single story building has a showerhead. your system looks like a 3 or 4 foot head at best. also when i setup a radiant heater or in floor heat loop I like to limit the water temp to 120 degrees or so to avoid issues with cracking and thermal expansion of materials.good luck with your tank, I enjoy your videos.

What I don't get is where you get all the energy to do all this in addition to traveling and working - and I'm not talking only about setting things up but also about everything that goes to running this channel. I need a battery pack just from watching it all! Hell it took me two weeks to set up my latest 130 liter aquarium and I didn't even put it together myself. Mad props for all the work you are doing.

Then you started popping up in my home feed in January and I gave you a watch - what a journey it's been since then! Keep it up Joey!!!
Rather than trying to silicone the corner pieces to the walls for the wave makers, I suggest that you fabricate acrylic corner boxes that go the entire height of the tank. Welded at the three corners and the bottom. A bit of a pain to make but guaranteed to be water proof.
I hope your fix did the trick, because your build is an inspiration to many, and we are thankful for your honesty, we know some people wouldn't have mentioned this error let alone recording it for public.

Just a suggestion! Joey this could be overkill but the constant pressure of the wave makers pushing against the corners it may break the silicon seam may want to run them full on for a few days. I would hate to see you fry the rays or Arawana. Yes they are wedged in the corners but imagine an aquarium that is uneven and having a wave maker constantly pushing on the uneven side, you said yourself that the uneven tank will fail this could be the same issue. Anyway good luck I hope it all works out just fine, It is the most fantastic in house aquarium in hose I have ever seen.
what did you use to make those chambers? i'm currently building an aquarium just like yours only 1,000 gallons. I'm currently trying to figure out the chambers. can you help me out with the details of those chambers? I will also be using vortechs on the chambers. Thank you.
