@@tanyah2524 because those are growing spectrums. Red signals more end of season as in fall which can tell a plant it’s closer to end up cycle. I used to use combo of red and blue before leds were a thing. You can grow with them and get wild colors but blue and white signals more growth.
That betta tank looks awesome and should thrive in there. Also looking forward to see how your outdoor projects progress over the summer. You mentioned the Matano rice fish, what are they? Tried rewatching but didn’t catch it. Thanks for another awesome video 😁👍
@@LRBaquatics I did and they are doing awesome. I just didn’t catch what you said about them. That you learned recently they are actually (couldn’t hear this part) fish. Absolutely love them. They were very scared at first but are starting to come out more around me more now.
nice! what soil did you use for your wild betta? that’d be awesome if your wilds have babies. i just got female green imbellis & a wild male splenden. they’re amazing. my favorite wilds i have are the api apis. great update video. i look forward to lady lrb’s plant tour. have a great day! 💫
Would be cool if you got connected to the pond professor and aquascaping people to see what kind of habitat you could get set up out there with some flow and filtration.
I have worked with them before and even went to their academy we know each other but been awhile since we talked. He used to watch my channel before he got big, he still might…
Thank you for another update of the fish room they are my favorite 😍. I need some help, how do you catch the mascara barbs they are so fast. Mine started to have babies but they eat them so i am trying to do musical fish with the parents 😢
Drop the water level down and get a big net nd medium size net. I’m pretty sure in my breeding video for them I showed all that. And that awesome you’re getting babies already! 👏
Wild guess: those "grass plants" might be in the Typhaceae (or cattail) family of plants. Would make sense. I have some bur-reed and they look kinda similar. Yeah, it might be from the dry area of your yard, but seeds could have gotten there and then been burrowed, waiting for a proper aquatic habitat. Who the hell knows, right? 😂
I listen to all types of genres of music. Really depends on the mood. After I listen to certain types of music I like to switch it up. Hmm idk I can’t really find any pics of it underwater. And don’t look too familiar to the plants around here. But who knows what really out on all that acreage…
@@LRBaquatics Yeah I just know it can handle wet feet so it might have sprouted with all the water but yeah, I've never seen it growing underwater. Maybe the seeds blew from the pond to your dry areas? Any grasses on the pond margin?
@@gannoli Yeah possible and or fell off birds. Lots of different grasses in the margin. Lots of diversity in the yard since we mostly only mow the paths we need.
Um, that axilotyl is looking very chubby. Quite round actually. Are you sure he's not eating the rice fish fry? Because I didn't see any fry and they're almost as prolific as guppies. LOL 😆. So they could be snack size treats for their tank mates. 😲
Yes not at the time. He went MIA for a couple days so I guess he was holding… only the female came from feeding. I couldn’t even see him and doubt I will if he is holding.
That is an absolute paradise for the wild bettas.
That barn is really something
1:05 to 1:18 has to be my all time favorite 😮
😂 cinematic
Love fish room updates! Thanks Lucas😁☮❤🐠🦐🪴
I'm gonna have to order some of those Mascaras!!
I love that outdoor grave pond, that's not eerie at all. LOL 😳
Lol it’s glorious
Awesome content! Great stuff Lucas!
Thanks Kurt!
Love the axolotl’s! I have been wanting to add rice fish to my axolotl tank, I was happy to see it’s working for you! Hopefully it works for me!
The axolotls ended up hanging in the weeds and ate some :/
I assume my axolotl will eat a few, I’m just hoping she doesn’t eat all of them, I’m also considering adding hill stream loaches to her tank.
@@TalisaAquarist They would definitely snack some hillstream loaches.
Okay, thanks!
Thank you for the content Lucas
What lights do you use? Please give more of an update on your axolotls and other fish. Thank you.
For the most part I use 6500-6000k led shop lights or the cheap aquaneat lights with white and blue spectrum off eBay. Nothing fancy.
@@LRBaquatics, why only white and blue?

It’s dirt from the yard. I sifted the sand and left behind all this root material which I used as a substrate in combo with the sand for that tank.

I started covering the front of the tank with a black plastic sheet
@@Aquarium_Fantasy-HF o and that worked huh… I tried using cardboard box but that’s not working.
They are so picky. I had that plastic sheet for 3 weeks on the front of the aquarium.
I see daphnia in a lot of your tanks. Do you add green water to feed them or do they just feed off of what’s available?
They just feed off what’s available
