I agree with this... but then in AoS, certain units have damage thresholds denoted by how many wounds they've taken, so it's easier to keep track of it the same way.
You could easily magnetise these great weapons on the backs of your Quarrelers. A tiny round magnet on the back will look just like a piece of armour, and can be used to attach a great axe or hammer with its own magnet.
I like the list, i was kinda confused about armor bane stacking after the faq but it is used as an example of stacking so ye I quite like the changes in the list, runesmiths are very good I think that more than ever you need cannons or grunge throwers instead of organ gun, that 30' range of pretty much your whole army is gonna need something scary to make the opponent move sometimes You are lucky you are not playing against wood elves! Well, wood elves are OP anyway, i kinda have them rent free in my head cause they keep wrecking me 😢 If you are interested i can send you my dwarf list to try, you are gonna need to assemble your gyros first :) Nice battle report! Oh, and as the lad said, engineer doesnt work with rangers
i think youre king is not enough survivable! He really need Shieldbearers! Or Drop the king and make youre BSB very survavible with Master rune of Grungni, Master rune of Gromil & Rune of preservation! This guys in a ironbreakers unit wont go anywhere!
This last turn Wyvern-related comment just shows how you should ALWAYS show wounds remaining not inflicted on the model. Wounds inflicted is totally irrelevant, what is actually informative is how many wounds the model has left. I saw the O&G player marking wounds inflicted starting from the first turns and thought "oh, this is nonsense" and what do you know - at the end of the game we got a proof that it indeed caused misinformation and confusion.
It makes sense, but in other game systems it is usually done the other way. AoS monsters require you to know how many wounds they've taken, rather than remaining. Board games it's quite common to drop a wound marker next to a unit for each wound they've taken. I will be fully on board with a campaign to get everyone to show remaining wounds in The Old World.
There should be a rule that wound counters always show wounds left, rather than wounds taken.

thank you for the continued coverage of the old world :) good entertainment!
Plenty more to come.
Flaming attacks does not block the Wyverns regen, it does not have the flammable rule.
Indeed. I was under the impression that the trousers had that effect.
Good report. Troll hide trouser do not come with flammable, just regeneration. It would be thematic if they did and were cheaper.
Good to know.
The early wyvern move was questionable.
Does flaming attacks really remove regeneration from the troll hide trousers? They are not flammable, are they?
It seems not. I just assumed it would give the user the same properties.
Hammerers can't benefit from the runesmith flaming ability since they have magical attacks.
Interesting. Which rule is it that prevents them from working together?
@@Andy2D6 believe its under flaming attacks, can't be applied to magical weapons unless its from a magical source i believe, same goes for poison.

I may have to accept that not every list needs Organ Guns, despite them being my favourite.
And yes, good thing I didn't CHEAT with the Engineer yet.
Throwing Axes have the same S as Crossbows. Your comment at the end made it seem like you were playing them as S3
I was playing them correctly. I meant that they lack any AP or Armourbane.

I'm working on my new Lord on Shieldbearers model.
Nice😎
Your hammerers look like they are underperforming, do you apply the stoic defender rule (+1in +1attacks when charged)?
I sure do. There were fighting a lot of Regenerating units, though.
No new news about dwarf release
Thats a grudging gw
Yet...
❤
