Thanks...keeping the head absolutely still, and listening for the putt to drop is 66% of the solution. Tempo is important too, which is controlled often by a light to medium grip...too light will cause a grasping quickly while taking the club away.
Try this when faced with short putt it works for me.Put an imaginary hole halfway and just tap it in the imaginary hole.If you have done it right the ball will roll over the imaginary hole and into the cup.Most putts from a 18inches or so have no break if struck at correct pace , so tap it in to your hole with confidence which is only 9inches away.Also works on longer putts, simply place your imaginary hole on your line halfway and try and roll your ball over your imaginary hole your mind has placed there.
