- Camino De Santiago E15: So after only two days of walking we decided to take yet another rest day in the town of Caldas de Reis (literally the hot cauldrons of the king … or hot springs). Wanna know why we’re moving to slowly?
IN THE BEGINNING …
One day, as we were wrapping up our Baja adventure, it struck us that we didn’t yet know where we were going to go next.
“What do you want to do?”, I asked.
“I don’t know, how about you?”, she replied.
Crickets were heard.
And then on a whim we just decided to put our bus "The Huckleberry" into storage, fly ourselves across the ocean to Portugal, and then walk for a month (or so) until we arrived at a certain cathedral in Spain.
And yea, it pretty much went exactly like that. LOL!
These are the diaries of our Camino de Santiago pilgrimage through the Portuguese Way. (Caminho Português / Camino Portugués). From Porto Portugal to Santiago de Compostela in the Spring of 2024.

Hi, I'm Rick and I live in a bus.
Yup, I'm one of "them". My passion is exploring things just outside of the proverbial box. Travel, adventure, wonder, and all that. (Yea, I'm a little bit ADHD and I kinda need constant stimulation).

We call that particular smell "Barcelona", once in a while while driving the skoolie we get it.
Rick, I’ve enjoyed your journey. It looks like your subs are growing. Just a short while ago you were in the hundreds. I think it’s because you are so authentic.

Enjoying the videos, especially reliving the sites that I just experienced myself. I finished my walk on 1 June starting from Valenca Portugal. It was my first time doing the walk. My brother wants to do the Frances Way in a few years, looking forward to that. Buen Camino.

the padron peppers at that Bar are fabulous, I was there a couple weeks ago. the hot springs are right behind the statue turn Right and walk 25m
Those padrón peppers were good, and so was the burger. I had pork, and it was yummy. It's a good thing we can walk off the calories😂
