You got this!!! Finished my Camino on May 24th. Just a thought, if you have anxiety ditch the booze. It makes it worse. My personal experience! And drink your water with electrolytes!! I loved your honesty. We all need a little help along “the way”. One foot in front of the other!!!

I went left and took the shorter route as well. I also followed the river going into Pontevedra, however, it had rained for 3 days by the time i got there and the river was almost overflowing it’s banks, it was a slippery muddy mess.

I think your leaving the watch was very significant. Touching actually. As you make your way along the Camino I hope ypu encounter a few miracles as well. Perhaps leaving the watch was one such.

Sometimes the weather makes the decision as to where and when you go. When we woke up and it wasn't infernally hot, it became a day to get plenty of miles in, so we canceled our second stay at Mos. We did all just have a silent nature day. Buen Camino

I am disappointed that this is not about a doctors visit after yesterdays video. See one as soon as possible. No need to wait for a big city. Your health is way too important. In the end it is all you have. But you do you. It is your life, not mine.

I’ve been enjoying watching you journey. I just walked the Camino Portugués last month. It’s been cool seeing the places I where I walked just a few weeks ago. If your itinerary isn’t fixed I have a suggestion for you to consider. Just after you leave Pontevedra (you should be getting there in a day or two) there is an intersection where you can either go to the right and follow the main route, or you can go left and follow the route known as the Spiritual Variant. This a a less traveled route that takes you by Combarro (a small fishing village) then up into the hills to a monastery in Armentiera (they do a pilgrims blessing in the evening there) then down the mountain on the “Route of stone and water” that follows a creek past a number of stone mill ruins (this a a beautiful trail to walk along). After that you walk to Villanova De Arousa which is another fishing village. There you take a boat (yes, this boat ride is an official part of the Camino) up the river to Padrone. In Padrone you join back up with the main Camino route to Santiago. It will add a day or two to the trip, but this is the route I took and I think is well worth it.

I would start a carnivore diet. Autoimmune conditions can be caused by leaky gut, which allows molecules which the gut wall should keep out to enter the bloodstream and cause the immune system to become overwrought and dysfunctional. The way to fix this is by eating only meat, which eliminates the toxins from other foods which are causing the tight junctions of the gut wall to leak.

Spain has amazing public healthcare, actually. Don't wait too long, just hit a clinic if you need to. They got you, I promise. Also, it will NOT bancrupt you, even without appropriate insurance.

Go into a pharmacy and get some electrolytes. Take them daily. Make sure to drink plenty of water.

Take a moment and go see a local doctor and get a prescription. I've heard pilgrims have had great success with Spanish doctors and hospitals. Quick and easy, in and out. I just watched a video of a pilgrim who walked far off the trail in a forest to use the bathroom and then twisted and broke his ankle trying to get back. I assume he had purchased a local Sim Card for his phone because he was able to call the Spanish version of 911 for ambulance. I knew of another pilgrim who always carries a GPS-equipped Zoleo Satellite Communicator and Distress Beacon. They are only $150 on Amazon plus a monthly subscription. Seems like a good thing to have when you're far away from anything including a cellular signal. Hang in there. Drink your fluids often. Buen Camino.

Just came to say that I hope you feel better soon and thank you for posting. I was debating whether or not to take all of my meds on the Camino or not. This was a reminder that I am NOT a super hero and I will take all of my meds along with programming Spains “911” into my phone! Buen Camino!

You know your body, mind and spirit better than anyone. As a health care professional, I can concur with you how dehydration can wreak havoc on all your body's systems, especially musculoskeletal.
