Ozamu dazai is inspired after an irl author with the same name who had attempted suicide multiple times. One of his works were "no longer human" and thats the name given to the ability of the anime character dazai.
@@AttackonTiago Bungou Stray Dogs is easily one of the best Seinen Series. It has a great Anime which gets better every season, Manga is great filled with amazing storytelling and artwork, light novels are also peak, live action was enjoyable with additional scenes not present in the original novel, amazing stage performances and a great movie. It's a shame that the series is quite underrated outside of Japan
Atsushi is such a heavily underrated protagonist I believe his character depiction of an abuse victim is handled really well and how he slowly learns to cope with his past is pretty realistic since his trauma and ptsd don't just go away with 1 season but stick with him through the entire story yes he does get better but the series doesn't magically take away all his trauma, his dynamic with dazai is in my opinion one of the best and I believe dazai to be one of the best mentor type characters I've ever seen in any series, he's cold and realistic when he needs to be but also understands the pain that atsushi struggles with. After reading the moon over the mountain the piece of literature that atsushi's power is based on I've gotten an even greater respect for atsushi's character and honestly he's probably my favorite character now
Heavily underrated series in the west It has everything from great characters, sublime characters design, huge cast, splendid interactions between all of them, interesting hints to litterature and alot of greatness ❤️
I disagree with people saying that this show underrated. It’s highly rated especially in Japan & around Asia BUT it’s true when you say show is UNPOPULAR (not underrated) especially among the western anime watchers because it’s always overshadowed by other seasonal animes that have great promotional materials imo. I always recommend BSD to people because it’s THAT GOOD especially once you pass first few episodes. People really need to stop sleeping on this show🙏😢
I watched bsd because my friend bugged me about it every single time she talked to me, and the moment I watched the first episode, I was convinced. It mixes humour with a lot of mature themes, which is especially interesting. Although, reading the manga and other bits of the series, I am slightly peeved with the way Bones handled some of the plot and characters, but they did a good job overall!
I remember when the manga was very popular on Tumblr & Instagram back in 2015, & blew UP when the show started in 2016. I think around 2018 was the time I heard less about the show so by 2019 I honestly thought the show had finished. I still have yet to actually watch the show - hopefully within the next 15 years I'll see at least the first season LMAOOO.
I’ve been waiting for the season four for a long time, and as much as I love it’s getting it’s popularity in recent years I still kinda disappointed on how BONES studio mess up the plot here and then that it becomes really confusing for the anime only watchers (and due to that people often drop this show) . It’s really saddening to see because the manga and light novel are my favorites of all the time tbh. But I still really love the animations and lightings they put in this masterpiece of a fiction The only worry I have for now is how are they gonna fit the entire rest of the manga (I speculated the events from the opening) in only 10 episodes. I really hope they’re gonna make part 2 because otherwise there’s so much content it might screw up the plot a bit. I would advice the anime watchers to read the manga, or even light novels if they really want to embrace this fiction in its full glory. I’m still very hyped because my favorite characters are getting animated like Sigma, Gogol, Teruko…etc Question for you: have you read any of the light novels/gen
@@AttackonTiago oh don’t worry :) you can always read them later (some can be long) my personal favorite was Dazai’s entrance exam for the detective agency ♥️
Bungo is my favorite seinen anime series and probably my 3rd favorite anime overall. The sense of pacing, the territorial structure and the way each character is written is nothing short of perfection. It's just really good.
Heavily heavily underrated…the pacing , the twists and powersystems are sooo good! Watched a looot of anime but i dont get why this anime is so underrated or doenst get the hype it deserves. Try it out you its def worth it!
Should i watch the movie? I looked online and people say it's canon, but so many ither people say that it's confusing and irrelevant to the main plotline, which is making feel like i should just skip it and watch season 3.
I saw people praising the 5th season so I tired to pick it up, watching from the first episode of the first season... But it's bad. Like, not horrifically bad, but it isn't good. I get that some people say it gets better in the future, but is it really worth it to keep watching if I didn't find anything for me in the first 4 episodes? Dazai is ok. There is a lot of humor and it's all meh. Can't say I find myself connected to any of the characters, nor do I feel like I care about the war that's going on between the groups. It doesn't strike me as smart, well written, engaging or having any kind of redeeming quality really. So with all of that said, can a future season really redeem a product that isn't good on the baseline?
sure! i will say season 1 is definitely its weakest season and it was still trying to find its identity, so the jokes may not have really landed. but as the episodes go on my love for the series grew, especially with the characters and the unique referenced abilities. and seasons 2, 3, 4 all have been phenomenal so I recommend continuing season 1 if you really hate it, then i understand dropping it, but if you get through season 1 and find it alright, just know it gets much better
@@jodanjo4295 Speedrun season 1 at 1.5x speed. Season 2 and further has a great story and plot twists. I was in the same boat as you. Season 1 wasn't that interesting, it's just an introduction season. Season 2 is where all the juice starts to pour.
I mean, it's alright to pass the time, but it's ultimately a generic shonen. I've been watching the seasons as they've come out since the first one. And no one's missing out if they skip it. Every "character" is just a recycled archetype (except Sakunosuke who did have a personality) and every arc is as formulaic as something you'd see in Black Clover & Academia

When he starts cooking he makes a delicacy every single time😊He is fucking him.
