    • @GoldfishCorner
      @GoldfishCorner  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      cynthia dameron Agreed. In fact I called them “less forgiving breeds”. If you damage Pearlscale or bubble, it is impossible to recover fully. Among these two breeds, Pearlscale is even harder and tends to get swimming bladder issues.

    Do you know if king tigerhead, goosehead, and lionhead are closely related? Since they have a very similar body shape but different wen shapes.

    • @GoldfishCorner
      @GoldfishCorner  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      My short answer is yes. Nice observation. These breeds that you just mentioned are part of traditional Chinese Goldfish. All egg-fish (dorsalles) in traditional Chinese goldfish should have flat back like the King Tigerhead, and Goosehead. Egg phoenix should be a slightly curved back i.e. comb-shaped back. The ranchu type of high-curvatured back did not fit the aesthetics of traditional Chinese goldfish.

      @GoldfishCorner  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What are the breeds you thought initially?

    • @marieketie
      @marieketie 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GoldfishCorner Tbh I thought everything beyond common and veiltail was pretty recent, since in many pet species breeds have become more and more extreme the last 30 or so years (see pugs, german shepherds, persian cats etc). But some of those goldfish breeds are around 100 years old or even older.

    • @GoldfishCorner
      @GoldfishCorner  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@marieketie Depends on how do you define "Recent". Here is what I knew based on the literature: From 1547 to 1643, Calico goldfish and dragon-eye (telescope) goldfish were created. From 1848 to 1900s, Lionshead, goosehead, celestial, bubble eye, pom-pon, and pearscale were developed. Here is a good journal article for your reference. Let me know what you think.

      @@GoldfishCorner Hi Sirs, Thai ranchu, japanese ranchu is too expensive for me.

    • @GoldfishCorner
      @GoldfishCorner  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@yinmohseng5793 I see. Especially Japanese Ranchu, they are very expensive. On the other hand, the breeds take much more effort than other common goldfish plus the cull rate is extremely high, normally 99% fries are gone. It depends on your level and desire. If you are just a beginner, you may just get some common ranchu off your local goldfish store, surprisingly sometime you may find a really good one. When your skill progressed, you may go with higher quality ones.

    I’m not sure if I’m correct,but i think almost all goldfish breeds came from northern ways from China?
    (I dunno if it’s true tho I just read it on my book.)

    • @GoldfishCorner
      @GoldfishCorner  4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Anni fish Gallery !! Historically, more goldfish breeds were created in Southern China staring from Song Dynasty ~800 years ago due to better living standards and less wars. However, Northern China gained more influence and created more breeds 200 years ago in Qing Dynasty due to The Imperial family lived in Forbidden City in Beijing. As far as Modern Chinese Goldfish, there are two major styles: Northern Chinese (King Tigerhead, Red Gooosehead, egg Phoenix, etc.) and Southern Chinese (pearlscale, Lionhead, etc.) here is a good goldfish history created by my friend in Singapore. • @byy4721
    @byy4721 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    现在感觉最有名的是兰寿。我个人比较喜欢珍珠,珍珠当属天津珍珠最为有名,体型最大。珍珠有很多种类,中国比较经典的就是鼠头,但我个人喜欢日本种的那种珍珠,头稍微大一些,看着很可爱。如果大家想要养鱼,我推荐一开始先养长尾草金或者鎏金,很皮实,不容易突然死亡。感觉视频中的一些饲养难度和我心中的难度稍稍有些出入,可能是因为水质不同的关系吧,如果你住的地方是酸性水,那养珍珠就简单。
    up视频科普得非常棒,但我觉得视频中展示的珍珠、鹤顶红和蝶尾都不是特别地顶尖,望天眼的尾巴也不是很飘逸。有一种很漂亮的翘尾墨色望天,非常好看。
    国外买金鱼感觉都非常贵,但国内金鱼真的不贵,日本三条两厘米小珠子亚马逊要一千八日元,还不包括运费,但淘宝上十八块钱就能买个五六条。我个人觉得可能东南亚的金鱼也会很便宜?主观臆断。

    • @byy4721
      @byy4721 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      另外我get不到没有背鳍的金鱼的点,我个人还是比较喜欢珍珠这样的观背金鱼,用那种古朴的大瓦缸养着,然后中间拿个小盆,埋点土,养个睡莲。平时放院子里。下雨时候就端杯茶坐在屋檐下,静听穿林打叶声,唉,真美。

      这位鱼友的观点十分中肯,坦诚,而且资料丰富。希望您能常访问本频道,多提意见,畅所欲言。金鱼圈儿的高手大都玩过珍珠,但是饲育技巧高,不宜与初学者。美国的高端金鱼也都从中国进口,近些年,水平有些提高。敢问您在中国还是在美国这边,欢迎探讨交流
