I am new rider question about gears. Is it proper to ride in 2nd and 3rd gear for these speeds? Or is this more for speed control/ engine braking? I travel at these speeds a lot on twisted roads but usually spend most time in 4th gear.

Do you smell like burning brakes when using a lot of engine braking? Mine does it noticeably on mountain roads when I’m on and off the throttle frequently like you’re doing here
What a great road to ride on. I love the Ninja 400. I bought one even though i already have a Ducati 939 Supersport. But i have no desire to put a loud pipe on it. I think it takes away from the joy of riding. I just cant stand loud pipes. Even in the video it's annoying to listen to.
I'm on an Iron 883 & I'm looking into a sport bike. I'm between this & the R3. I want something comfortable (Although I know it won't be as comfy as my Iron), something comfortable on the highway & some twisties. Based on the research I've made, supposedly the 400 is more comfortable than the R3?
I'm on a gsxr750 n I'm not embarrassed to say that I def wouldn't be able to keep up in the twisties..on a 400 yesss..but barely..Maxy skill level is like 92/100...I'm about 78/100..cheers mate!
Coulda been your chain being streched from hard riding getting hot and slowing down it rattled on something be careful dont want your wheel to lock up going 80 in a corner
It does have good mpg but I seriously doubt you were going over 80 in the beginning unless you had a calibration done recently. Most sportbike speedometers read 5 to 10% high. My ninja 400 read about 5 mph too high at 50 mph, as does the daytona 675. Confirmed with gps.

@@_fir3blade_ - I don't think India has the same emissions requirements. When you have to start tuning for Co2 requirements, it harms fuel efficiency, however, you get cleaner emissions. Still, sounds like the NS200 is a nice bike :-)

Yes the 400 is more of an upright chill position as for the r3 it’s more of a forward sport lean.
