Here I am… 3rd time 42 yr old mama, not new to cloth diapers but new to green mountain prefolds and flats and just had a MAJOR poop explosion after my 4th attempt at using my prefolds…. Honestly you being silly and coming into the frame just then made me laugh, made my day and gave me the pump I needed to be gentle on myself. I have a huge stash of these diapers and had the thought… maybe I just need to do disposables… so- years later… THANK YOU!!!!!!! ♥️🙏🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻
I just started my 3rd trimester in my first pregnancy, and am planning to cloth diaper. Your videos are so incredibly helpful to me! Thank you so much for all you do!
Working on becoming a mom myself. I lost a pregnancy a few years ago and we decided then we wanted to cloth diaper due to my mom using cloth on me. We lost our baby and we still have our small stash. Been watching jaysnest and jess is bless for years now. They both have grown on me sooooo much. They make it so easy 😊❤
We're expecting our rainbow baby after our loss 6 years ago. You can collect a LOT of diapers in 6 years. We never gave up hoping, we knew we would get to hold a baby in our arms. Baby is due Nov. Hoping good hopes for yall. Be gentle with yourselves. HUGS!
I echo everyone’s comments here. Your videos are extremely helpful. I plan to cloth diaper my first coming at end of June. Between your content and a few others (e.g. lainaslife) I feel really confident and supported and like I can totally do this. Thank you for these videos, I know they can be a lot of work.
My baby will be here in a few weeks. I have a few NB AIOs but lots of prefolds, flats and covers. So excited to start my cloth diaper journey but of course even more excited to finally meet my baby! He's been long awaited, I can't believe he's finally almost here.
I love prefolds for babies that aren't mobile yet! I have a stash of 36 GMD newborn prefolds ready for baby #2. Once we get past the constant runny poop stage I'll def be padfolding.
Nice and clear! I thought I was just going to trifold for my newborn, but we were getting too much poop on the covers. We switched to jelly roll and that worked much better! 💜 Heidi
Just in time. Deciding if newborn prefolds are gonna be my choice this summer! I really want to do flats but...newborn aaagghhh! They so tiny! And yay for GMD. Love love them!
I’m due with my third in a few weeks, will also be my third newborn to cloth diaper yet I’m still here watching even though I feel like I already have this down. Just like your videos!
Thank you for this video series! My first baby will come any day now and half my newborn stash is prefolds, flats, and covers, so I'll have my hubby watch this video to help him out!!
My little one is 3 weeks old and we started cloth diapering at 2 weeks. It’s been oddly fun to put her in cloth and super therapeutic for me to take care of my prefolds and flats. You’ve been a huge help with my new journey so thank you!!! I’m looking forward to this gmd giveaway sometime soon lol
I got cloth eez flats and half flats, but this is the most helpful video I've seen about folding! I have three dozen half flats, so I think I will take one of those and fold it towards the middle on both sides to make it like a prefold and then follow the tips in this video :) Glad to hear you say that we can definitely jelly roll after it's already on baby!
I have a question ! Would u recommend alva baby inserts … they are affordable for my budget since other brands cost alot more ! I use receiving blankets and etc but diapers seems really bulky :(
@@NancyOrtiz-fr4rq their microfiber sucks but their bamboo and hemp works well! Diapers will look less bulky as your baby gets older, but also with receiving blankets- the size matters. Some are huge compared to others
I am still in my 1st trimester, but I am getting really into cloth diapering... First it was just to save money, and for baby's skin, but now I find them so so adorable! All the different colors!! 😍😍😍
Im having a csection in 2 days because my baby (I have no idea if it's a girl or a boy....hubby been dreaming of a girl...so girl it is) decided to flip into the breech position. i actually recently started making pull ups and undies for my 3 year old and will be venturing in to making cloth diapers as well for this lil nugget. This tutorial is excellent. I guess ill binge watch you channel for the next two days. I just refuse to buy diapers! Id rather take myself to lunch...lol
Woot woot sponsored!!! Love Green Mountain Diapers! 🤣 I would have been so sad if you hadn’t folded it into a rectangle 🤣 Baby finds this existence uncomfortable…. Ummm I’m 31 and I felt this. Lol
This is very helpful, but I am trying to imagine pulling off the volcano/snappy on my super squirmy girl when she kicks like crazy! We have the cloth set up but started with disposables because she was tiny and we were in the hospital for a week.
Depending on the fabric blend, wash 3-5x before using. I wash in warm/hot and dry on hot to get to to shrink to its final size. Bamboo/cotton prefolds shrink a lot over time. It can take months but they shrink pretty badly if you use a lot of High heat regularly over long periods of time. So keep that in mind!
You're such a tender teacher. That's so awsome. I am cloth diapering my 1 month old. It is great! However, what i noticed is that no matter how absorbent the material is, the wet cloth is still against her bum and i change her after the first poop or pee. She sleeps throughout the entire night (yeah, I'm so lucky!) So i want to avaid waking her whenever possible so i.use disposables. I made stretchy flats from cotton/polyester cloth and the entire diaper gets wet when she pees in it. Am i using the correct cloth? What do you recommend for over night diapering? Thank you si much for you style of vlogging. It is so beautiful how natural a teacher you are.
I have lots of flower sack towels from walmart and i did cut and stich them in half but I wanna get some newborn prefolds. I am still working on what brand is going to work best for us. I still DON'T even know all the brands that sell them or what materials they are all made of
I’d consider keeping around extra newborn inserts (hemp, or Cotton, or bamboo, or Sherpa) That makes a huge difference so you can adjust the absorbency. Add 1 or 2 + inserts depending on the absorbency your babe needs.
Hi Does these pre folds have a waterproof layer? If not, won’t the baby feel the wetness and if the diaper cover is on it, how will we know it’s wet or soiled? My newborn is close to one month now and I would like to try cloth diapers, but would like to know about the wetness part.
Hello, I liked your video and it's helpful. However, I wanted to save money. I have 3week old baby girl and if I'm gonna buy prefolds and newborn covers, I won't be able to use that long.. I wanted cloth diaper that I can use from beginning onwards as she grows up. Or i really have to buy newborn? What will you recommend?
I like when you came into the camera and reminded us mommas to give ourselves grace. Thanks for the reminder

I have a whole mini series planned 😊💖
Probably 5ish videos already filmed that’ll be going up within the next 6-8 weeks

I love watching your channel. I watch cloth diaper video and I'm not even a mom. I would like to cloth diaper when I do become a mom.

Thank you! Trifold does have us going through a lot of covers, so we're going to try a few of these other options on our 3 week old.

What’s a good baby safe soap for the cloth diapers
How do you prep prefolds

You will need a cover to go over the prefold to make it waterproof. It's a good rule of thumb to change diapers every 2-3 hours!
I need these shipped to Nigeria for sale, how do I get started?

Definitely a baby boom
Another super simple idea is using old underwear if you dont have said cloths and just use a pad inside of it ....
is required the snappy?
Activate the Portuguese subtitle please! 🇧🇷🥺😅
I’ll definitely see what I can do to get the subtitles working ☺️
My Sensei taught me to sweep the leg. You taught me to swoop the leg

I’m done having babies and I just got rid of my newborn stash 😭
