    The RCF ART 945 kills this. That 4 inch horn in the RCF is so clean. The 15 inch woofer is amazingly clean.

      I love RCF products! I recently listened to the 945 at NAMM 24 and it sounded great!
      Fun fact, in years gone by JBL speakers contained RCF drivers.

    I like my Mackie DRM Series 15" (215). Made of wood. 135db SPL & 1600 watts. Excellent road ready speaker.

      I am a big fan of any speaker design that uses wood. I do not have any science to back this up😀, but personally just believe the wooden enclosures sound better that any plastic mould design.

    I have the older PRX815's and use them for indoor and out door gigs. It sounds good and has good headroom.

    I had the 815 for a few years. Good sound not as strong as they claim and had many many relibility problems. Could not realy on them at all any more. Now i am with rcf 745. Great speakers

      @@Wouter.ErweeTech one amp had to be replaced after 3 years, both of them had internal buzzing that shuold not hapend in a 2k pro speaker. Also in one of them the woofer stoped working from time to time. had to turn off and on for him to work again. Im a pro musician and doing 200 gigs a year , i cant work with somthing like that. RCF never failed me for 25 years that i own all kinds of their speakers

    I picked up a pair on Offerup early this year for $2000. I pair them up with the Srx 900 series subs and they sound amazing with a 80hz filter on them. Only issue is one of them seems to freeze up. I cant dial anything on the screen it goes extremely slow and gets hot

    Does the SRX series need a conditioner or a Voltage Regulator?

    • @Wouter.ErweeTech
      @Wouter.ErweeTech  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi there,
      Every SRX I have ever seen had auto voltage detection. AC Power Input: 100V - 240V~ 50/60 Hz. Meaning it will automatically detect input power voltage and adjust accordingly. This might not be the case depending on where you are in the world. Should be labelled right below to the IEC connector on the back. As for a conditioner, I do not see the need for it unless you are sure the power fluctuates often. These are often more used for sensitive rack equipment.
      Can you elaborate on why you think you need a conditioner/regulator?

      @@Wouter.ErweeTech Thanks for your answer. I am in the state of Arizona, USA. Since the JBL SRX835P speakers are somewhat expensive, I was watching videos where they explain that you have to take care of your sound equipment, so I was thinking if my speaker needed to be protected when connecting it to electricity. With your answer, do you tell me that I can use it directly to any outlet in a house or event hall?

      Yes, you could certainly use them. With that said, they are certainly not designed for Home Theater use. You would be much better served with a SONOS system and it would be half the price.

    no actual sound demo

    • @Wouter.ErweeTech
      @Wouter.ErweeTech  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, doing a sound demo via TH-cam is in my opinion net going to tell you that much. So many variables:
      1. Microphone used to record the audio for this video
      2. Playback used to listen to video on TH-cam
      My thoughts are that if you are only going to be using this speaker for your own events you should definitely book a sound demo at your local retailer and decide for yourself regarding sound quality. If you are planning to have these cabinet be used by Audio Technicians or Sound Designers at events, they will be more than happy with the sound quality.

      Cam agree have heard from 2 bands in my town 1 had amo problem other band had from 1 box a Hf driver blown… and i agree its just to weak for that lf driver i love jbl for bass heavy aplications especialy their old srx 728s subs a monsters for ratling… i bought passive versions form 815 non p it is, Crown xti 2002 im using in bridge mode not per Chanel is how much that fl driver is hungry like their subs as i mentioned 728 really need power to sing properly and hit, i upgraded to bigger vc hf driver duno model, stock wise it is about with Proper amount of power about 10% not more u can hear when u set ur dsp externaly on hf drivers to be able to hear them nicely… about 10% louder and 10% have more bass in every aspect, kick snare punch ehatever it is stronger, i mean it is logicaly for passive box to be a bit stronger couse they put a safer Wattage AMP in active versions for longer life for drivers but this passive have procention allso but hf driver will die, but if u wanna safe it u will have a bit weaker meybe there in spl will be with atctive version, have heard active from those bands as i Said mine passive is stronger as i Said ij every single hz about to me just about 10% allso i talk no destortion no nothing, even guy in shop told me i can put more power and will be better stronger and not distor, but im happy with those amps, was thinking to use them by biamping them but would still need 2 amps so im swaping im few weeks for i tech 5k 1250e rms at 8 ohms per chanel, schould have enought power for them that much this 2k crown gives now, and will save on equipment number for carying arround 😂
