No true Metazoo fan WANTS to see prices dip as hard as Kuromi did. Anyone rooting for Kuromi to keep falling lower are into the game for the wrong reasons. Here’s hoping Kuromi rebounds, and sellers still holding onto boxes can begin to make a small profit on sales again. This could help instill confidence in the market as we head into War, arguably the most important set in Metazoo’s history thus far.
I hope there are more than 43 KCC collector boxes, no one has pulled any of the 20 artist sketch cards that were randomly inserted in those bundles…once again it’s beginning to look like another gimmick that wasn’t real, hopefully the Black Friday uncut sheets show up.

It isn't hard to get sales on things when your selling it at 50% to 75% off MSRP. It's good that these boxes are moving, but not sure how positive it is with sellers taking a bath. If your right and it stabilizes at 90-100 that is still a loss in comparison to that MSRP. I guess this is a positive though and something Zoo investors/collectors can grab onto
I give u credit by trying to stay positive but damn dude 2023 was an utter disaster to say the least. They have one chance to not mess up the next set. Also 1600 boxes is nothing. That not lot of money to move the needle
You can't say no when a company like that wants to collab. Just gotta do it properly...If this collab was accessible BEFORE & LEADING up to halloween we would be having different talks. Timing is everything hopefully they get inventory in hand to distribute time sensitive promos on time to build the trust back....1 question I would have is that if you feel lots of this product has been sold already wouldn't we have seen more of the secret rare moth chase by now??????
I think the reason we’re not seeing many of them for sale is 1) people are keeping them and getting them graded 2) much of the buying volume, perhaps most of it, is from Sanrio fans, which are not plugged into typical MetaZoo discord circles and socials where we usually see flex posts and pulls

Most of us collecting MetaZoo from the start are grown men. The reason prices skyrocketed early, is because gown men with grown money were buying everything possible. Being a MetaZoo collector in the hobby was hard enough for us with out hello kitty on the cards. I understand why the Sanrio collab was necessary, but theres a dozen reasons it was wayyy to late to turn the tanker towards a more kid / girl friendly genre. This should have just been ready to play starter decks you could hide chase cards in, a promo and a plush, sold exclusively at Claire’s and hot topic... A core set of hello kitty didn’t just break the mold, damn near sunk the ship.
Will they be getting the hint that there booster box is not $140. I know they don’t want to do or say that but come on it’s probably around $80 before this release. I don’t have the answers but these tcgs value their products way more than the market. Even magic these stores can’t even sell at distribution prices to the public.
Sure it's selling but in the stock world, it is not uncommon to see a massive price cut and a rebound for new people to buy in or more money being put in from people who held through the crash. This game is still on the line and their next two to three sets are really going to dictate how this game will go. I would consider anyone who keeps three or more boxes sealed an investor. Anyone who opens a product is either a player or seller of cards. At this point in Metazoo the only people who are buying this set and others are investors and a few players. If there were more players the price wouldn't have tanked. Investors see this downturn of the product as a sale and some skeptics may buy a product for this low to open and test the game out. This game to me has about a 70% chance to fail and be forced back to Kickstarter this year. And a 30% chance to ride this rough wave out and build a small community up.
I heard also the boxes were printed to 10k but that could also just be the one type of box. The most important thing is for supply to be eaten up. There is now no excuse for people to say its too expensive to open Metazoo. Hopefully at these lower costs across the board it will bring in people willing to give it a try. If this is the way things unfold, 2024 and 2025 are going to be important years to make a stake in Metazoo Games. I have already been purchasing large amounts of sub $10 Spellbooks and grails being offloaded into the market. At $20 or $30 a booster box, I would challenge anyone to find a better product to open. 5 packs of Pokémon scarlet and violet < 1 UFO or Wilderness Booster Box.

But I think some people seeing you being all happy and metazoo defender Argos you are an easy target for complaints, when metazoo themselves drop the ball on communication, especially negative. I can guarantee lcs are not looking at this as a positive. If the lcs don't support the game. Growth will be very challenging
I think game stores will follow the money. If supply and demand find a better place, and there’s money to be made, many retailers will sell it.
