It’s my absolute favorite HBO series (yes even above GOT) ever… I only wish the set hadn’t burned down as it was and maybe still is the biggest Hollywood set (filmed in Italy of course) to date. I wonder had the set not burned down would we have gotten maybe 5-7 seasons of this glorious timepiece?
pfft I can't believe you guys are debating your favorite characters, and not picking Marc Antony. He carried the show in season 2, crude, tough, mean, witty and funny all at the same time. every other character is tied for 2nd best.
His name is Kevin McKidd, and I thought he was extremely familiar. So when I was just wandering and saw Trainspotting on, I immediately remembered! He's a fine actor. No doubt, he is the most remarkable character of this show.
That would be a lot of seasons! xD! I´d love it, but if they think that a third season is not a good idea, they will never continue ´till the fall of empire... I suppose

bugger the priests! yup Pulo FTW! thats what i understand. if most of Romands had the thinkin of Pulo they would been destroyed by corruption and lust. on the other hand they would have never achieved that much
The only real god in this series was James Purefoy. 😉 Fun fact: James & Kevin McKidd were in a movie called Bedrooms and Hallways where Kevin is gay & James' sexuality is ambiguous. Awkward. 😅

All the actors did a good job. And then there's Polly Walker, who's acting came across as flawless.
