    three different capacitor are seperatly charged to different voltages if I join them how to calculate new charge

    • @MichelvanBiezen
      @MichelvanBiezen  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      How are they joined? Series or parallel? And is a voltage applied or no voltage applied after they are connected? (I assume no voltage).

      sir first all two capacitor 3 and 2 micro farad are charged 100 and 180 volt respectively and then they are joined - of 3 to + of 2 micro farad capacitor and a new uncharged 2micro capacitor is joined to positive of 3 and negative of 2 what would be new charge to each capacitor

    • @MichelvanBiezen
      @MichelvanBiezen  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      the 3 uF capacitor would contain 97.5 uC of charge The original 2 uF capacitor would contain 157.5 uC of charge and the new 2 uF capacitor would contain 202.5 uF of charge. This is a difficult and tricky problem and would take some time to explain in this fashion. I plan on making a video this weekend showing how to do it.
