To anyone who actually wants Rock V Roman, why? They'll barely show up for the build, leaving the work to Paul, and Roman wont be able to carry Rock who couldnt have a good match with prime Cena when he was 10 years younger to a half decent match.
This is what I've been saying too. All this for a match that'll be mediocre at best and have minimal buildup because both guys are part timers.
Ok I only speak for myself on this one and it’s a matter of my own opinion, just like you will have yours. But this is why I want the rock vs Roman.
Back in 2000, i was only young and my older brother introduced me to wrestling. The first segment I ever saw was one involving the rock. I was instantly gripped, and have been a wrestling fan ever since. he was my favourite at the time, in 2003 he left So I only saw 3 years worth of the rock as a wrestler. Now fast forward 2 decades , the rock is still regarded by many as one of the greatest of all time. Has the opportunity to return for what will probably be the last match ever, then if I get to see The Rock wrestle one more match, and this is the only time I’ll see it, then I’m taking it. Cody can finish his story anytime, he has his whole career ahead of him, but The Rock wrestling one last time, for people like me is what I’d like to see more.

Cody beats him at Mania and then a few weeks before Summerslam The Rock returns to challenge Roman Reigns at Summerslam. Cody finishes his story, we still get Roman v Rock & without the title that match has more unpredictability. Then for Punk v Seth. You have Punk won the 2025 Royal Rumble and he'll finally get his WM main event moment. What fo you guys think? Sorry it's a long comment.

#4 if you wanna bring prestige to the WHC then you have to make it the MAIN EVENT. The WWE title was way more prestigious than the universal title then roman started going to the main event. Remember when roman practically begged edge to choose him after he won the royal rumble. Seth should bomb on roman by telling cody that roman is thirsty for a mania main event but to get in his head you go for the other title bc seth guarantees a fair fight with no interference. Take away the prestige from roman and put it on the other champion with seth constantly reminding roman that he lost their match. This opens the door for another roman vs seth match which they always deliver.
I have seen people speculate that replacing Cody with the Rock is just a PR move and the plane was always to pivot back to Cody vs Roman. For me the idea makes sense because since SmackDown, this is all the wrestling world is talking about. The Vince McMahon stuff has now been out of the spotlight for almost 3 days.

I feel like it's all planned although it may not seem like it because if you think about it the whole point of WWE 2K24 is "Finishing The Story" and the emphasis on the promotion for the game is pretty big and also the WWE is much smarter than before and they actually were so I would believe it if this is all planned or that if it isn't all planned then they'll definitely change plans and have Cody beat Roman to finish the story either way

WWE management burying talent has always been how the story ends for alot of wrestlers.
Honestly they should make the rock just at Cody's ringside to stop any shenanigans from the bloodline. Build up the story that the rock is disgusted by how roman has been defending his title and that this time he will make sure nobody interferes. He smacks the bloodline when they come to help roman then Cody gets a clean pin on roman.

Has The Rock ever faced Rollins before in a one on one match? Now, I get that Roman vs Rock is a much bigger match and a way bigger deal since Rock and Roman are both megastars as well as real life family members. However, isn’t Rock vs Rollins still a dream match even though it’s a much smaller scale dream match? I believe it is, so why can’t WWE just have Cody finish the story and fight Reigns at WrestleMania and then have Rock face Rollins at Mania since Punk is injured and can no longer face Rollins and Mania. Rock vs Rollins is still a big match, and Rock is a big enough star to replace Punk this year. So, I think Cody should fight Reigns and Rock should fight Rollins.

the only way i can see this working is if cody starts losing his mind week by week and just different people from his past telling him he should be in the main event and not give his spot up and one night while roman and rock are having a promo cody comes out and makes it seem very normal and he hopes the rock wins and he goes for a hug and boom lowblow to the rock and he starts beating him with a chair badly so now the rock is out the picture and thennnn cody gets his one on one with roman and win the title

Main issue is that this seems to be The Rock's call and his new TKO friends, all of them being above anyone at WWE. I don't blame anyone in WWE Creative for this shit. I doubt HHH would bury his face of the company together with the Royal Rumble in one night. This is all Endeavor and The Rock who also is bringing his own writer back.

Then have Cody be like “I gave u this chance to take everything from Roman and now I see you are just like him so I will continue my story and go right after Roman’s title at wrestlemania and if you rock get in my way I’ll take you down with him”. Now they can have a triple threat match at wrestlemania for Roman’s title.
