Thanks for sharing a great collection of creative ideas, Drew. It's a wonderful reminder of how resourceful and helpful the small trailer community can be.
Thank you, Drew, for showing us all these great tips! I liked the sun shades, the reflective tape and the butcher block over the stove. And the ice machine! People are so creative 🩷
It's fun hearing what speaks to people. Thank you for taking the time Ramona to share your thoughts. Now we can all hope somebody comes out with a 12 volt ice maker. I haven't seen one yet, unless you count Ecofllows refrigerator that makes ice.
Good tips. I added some additional reflective to our square drop. I believe you can save some money with the Dometic faucet hack. I “hacked” a Reliant water can by adding a faucet from Amazon for those water jugs you get at the store. So far, so good.
Great idea on the hack. I probably should have mentioned that in the video that we have Tim demonstrating that hack in a separate video of our. Glad you mentioned this. Great seeing you as usual Garret!
I used to think those were overkill. But now that we live in the lower 48 and we're camping in 100 plus degree temperatures, they completely make sense. We upgraded, downgraded, however you see it to the beanstock 2.0. It's Bean's bare Bones model without a galley kitchen. We find it's the perfect fit for our family during this stage of Life.
@ nice, so y’all aren’t in Alaska anymore?? Yeah the bean stock 2.0 looks like an amazing buy! When can we hear a review for your experiences and learn more about why you changed??
@michaelptm2269 Yes, we ended up selling everything and moving to Thailand for about 3 and 1/2 years. And then when we returned we decided to live down here in the lower 48. It's been hard being away from Alaska, but there's other things down here that make up for it. In our bean stock 2.0 review video we kind of talked about what sold us on the trailer. But yes, at some point next summer once I really get a good feel for this trailer, I'll do an in-depth walkthrough of the philosophy behind it. We also did a video not too long ago about how we outfitted our current bean trailer. I think you may enjoy that one. And then I'll make a future video similar to it next spring, but I'll outfit it all with budget components.
@ wow, why Thailand? Was it for your work with disabled students (I believe that’s what you do correct? Physical education). That’s an intense move for a gringo haha
@michaelptm2269 Great memory! We went and worked at an orphanage and a school through a partnership with our local church. The boys got to go to school there, it was a really neat experience.
tip 1 - well thats my emergancy baggy. I keep a small stash of - 3 in 1 coffee, 3 in 1 tea, cup a soup, bullion cubes, and a little esbit stove and tablets (tripple bagged). For emergencies. i can just make myself something warm to drink in a pinch. 5- custom mudroom. japanese "floor furnature" rather then "just a bed" you can have a folding sofa for example, recliner, and futon sleep. Now mentioned before, rather then having a full galley, you can often make due with 1 or 2 small butane burners... BUT if you really want fun, rather then a microwave, you can get Propane Air Fryers. These can be used off grid... paired with the small burners you can now do full meals. baked goods, and real cooking.
I got to ask what's your brand of 3-in-1 coffee? For us, it's straight from the Asian grocery store, either nescafe or birdie. As usual, you always surprised me with something... I had no idea they made propane air fryers.
@PlayingwithSticks nescaf sweet and creamy vanilla. And yeah, the air fryer at Walm, its a little heavy, 30 lbs, but thats not an issue for Basecamp or teardrops. Also it takes either 8 aa batteries, or plugs into a 12 watt inverter. So again, good for teardrops. Nice replacement or alt to a microwave
@ All of it. It’s great to see what issues people have in their space and how they solve them. Some of these would be very helpful to the new “micro” apartment set.
You are very close. Good eye I can't remember the name of the location but it's in Palisades right on the river. It's the location that Mandy and Kendrick host the Nucamp rally every year.
I love all these wonderful lovely clever people and their amazing cool hacks !!! THANK YOU!
Super glad to hear this! Glad you are enjoying these community videos.
I'm going to piggyback on this comment. Well said!

Glad you enjoyed it, James! These are my favorite videos to be a part of.

Man those window and skylight covers towards the end were awesome 😎
Great video! Are you still using the same bean trailer??

Great info once again; thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it! And always glad to have you here.
Some good ideas
Glad you enjoyed them! It's fun seeing these familiar faces continue to come back to the channel.
Hey Drew! Good to “see you”.
Always time for more tips and tricks
Good to see you first on here my friend!
@@PlayingwithSticks
Great tips. Ingenuity at its best.
@@PlayingwithSticks
I guess you’re “still stuck”?
Hope you, May and boys are doing well.
@kebeaux6546 It's turning the corner. It doesn't look long, but I'm more confident taking the hat off.
@@PlayingwithSticks
So I may see it on an upcoming video? 😀
Great tips - clever and useful. Thanks for the video. (Hello Scott!)
Genius.
All of it, or was there one thing specifically that cut your eye? Just trying to figure out what everyone is into.
@ All of it. It’s great to see what issues people have in their space and how they solve them. Some of these would be very helpful to the new “micro” apartment set.
@raeperonneau4941 a lot of the inspiration I get is from small Japanese micro apartments. I completely see the crossover.
Great ideas! I’d need to get rid of a lot of shoes to get down to 3 pairs😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂 Love it!
It looked like you were at James Robb SP Island Acres near Grand Junction!?
You are very close. Good eye
