Nice bud, I did not have to drill out the two old holes. Just had to drill a new 3rd hole for the bracket using a step bit. I’m sure you found out already road armors install instructions aren’t the greatest.
Hey man. Important question. Did you have to use a lot of force to lock the latch? I experienced that after the install and then a pin in the latch snapped driving down the road. I thought maybe it was just the latch, so I replaced it with a heavy-duty latch from Rigd, and it was hard to lock as well. It loosened up a bit after a few times, but I'm not sure if that means it's bending pins. I'm hoping that the first break was a fluke and won't happen again. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
I haven’t had any issues with the latch. Mine takes a little force to latch but feels normal. I just did a 4,000 mile road trip with it and didn’t have any problems. So hopefully it’s just a fluke like you said.
Besides four brand new injector’s blowing apart and having to pull all eight and send back to be repaired because quality control doesn’t exists anymore and then of course the hpop being bad straight out of the box. Everything seems to be good now just got down here to Alabama from Colorado to visit family and she ran like a champ no issues. Best part is I averaged 19mpg on the way down here I’ve never been able get above 14mpg after installing the lift kit and tires.
@@DominionOverland Loving it so far already had to use the spare I mounted on it due to my old tires being dry rotted and cracking. Seems to well built and yes it swings out 180 degrees
@BLUECOLLARGARAGE Sorry for all the questions, but what rack set up is that, and do you run RTT on top? Any issues? I ask because I just bought yakima towers so I can run my HD Bars with tent and awning on the Ex. Thanks!
@@DominionOverland yeah I ended up putting the license plate camera on the bottom portion of the plate because the spare tire covers quite a bit of the license plate. Also just upgraded the stereo to a 10.1 inch screen for the camera also threw on a front camera as well I’ll be putting out a video showing the new stereo soon.
@@DominionOverland I’m just running Thule towers and bars I’ve had those on there for about 15 years no issue and when we go on vacation I have a large Thule carrier for all our luggage. The factory cross bars were pointless not sure why ford even put those on there plus they just scratched the roof paint.
Appreciate the excursion content! Always learn a lot. Thanks!
I got mine without the tire mount, and now I wish I had gotten that option. I ordered mine with sensors, but they only drilled 1 hole.
Just got my bumper! Question: Did you have to drill out the old bolt holes to make room for the new bolts and mounting bracket?

@BLUECOLLARGARAGE Awesome. I talked to Road Armor, and they said it's normal. Thanks for the feedback!
How has the excursion been running since you redid the engine

@@BLUECOLLARGARAGE oh that’s annoying well good all running good now. I want to get a 6.0 to tinker with to complaint my 6.7
How are you liking it so far? I'm looking to add this to my 04 for overlanding. I assume the tire swings out 180⁰?

@@BLUECOLLARGARAGE Awesome! I am looking into a 3rd break light camera system to work around the tire. Image would come up in the rear view mirror.
