G6's screen is still an LCD screen although it supports HDR 10 and Dolby Vision. Black wouldn't look as nice as it does on Samsung's AMOLED screen, and colours wouldn't look as saturated. Moreover, since not a lot of HDR contents are available yet, I would say in general usages Samsung's AMOLED screens perform better.

most of your complaints and features in this were already introduced into the g5... things like installing a launcher will solve your problems... the only thing that is different as i can see is wide angle selfie cam wireless charging and the screen changes... but megapixel wise the g5 has a better camera so i would love to see a comparison as mp is not usually eveything... all in all i would stick to my g5 with it's removable battery and everything android is great for....
