She said the scene at the grave was her hardest to film and she channeled her feelings about being there with Shannen into the scene. Holly made me a fan of the show. The casting team really slept on her in the beginning.
I know right. Being late to set seems like an excuse to give because it makes you sound unprofessional but isn’t actually that uncommon. On 90210 they never said “we’re gonna let you go if you can’t be on time,” which says to me they didn’t want her to fix it. (Which also means it’s not the real reason)
how's that? they fired her so they didn't want her before. she was fired because she was a problem. they obviously gave a 2nd chance as happens all the time. even holly keep repeating "there were NO angels" because she is not being all binary so that one has to be good and one has to be bad. they were two overweaning egos on child actresses trying to be relevant in their 20s by joining a show on a brand new little known network. they were taking a risk and it didn't pay off for shannen like it did for alyssa. alyssa was probably a nightmare but she went to the mediator. and let's be frank, shannen not going does not make her some better person. she just didnt' want it worked out that way. that didnt work out for her either. now if she had, likely alyssa would have been gone
@profwriteteacher9887 "how's that?" Is a question. Whether rhetorical or not. U expressing your view to somebody that u already knew u didn't agree with... have a PRODUCTIVE day.
I met Shannon, when working on the set of 90210, she was sweet to those that worked around her - she even made x-mas cookies and invited us to her birthday... So, when the tabloids would call her - the wild child or out of control - we knew it was a lie to make tabloid money...
Very well said. The tabloids are pathetic. Shannen is very good friends with Brian Austin Green, Ian Ziering, and Luke Perry sadly before he passed away. She’s also very close to Holly and in real life is best friends with Sarah Michelle Gellar. She is a great actress and Alyssa had admitted that she takes responsibility for what happened years ago and wishes she was more secure and didn’t view the show as a competition. She viewed Shannen as a competitor, wanted more money and ended up pushing Shannen out of the show. Rose McGowan did not hold back on saying how toxic and miserable Alyssa made Charmed. Holly and Shannen are very down to earth women. Alyssa always looks like she’s trying too hard.
Deborahtunes. I bet it was pretty telling. Alyssa still has that fake look now and doesn’t even look like herself with her thick makeup and fillers and whatnot, and Shannen is working without any makeup just being the real and down to earth woman she is. Holly is the same way too so you can see why Shannen and Holly are such good friends. I’m glad Shannen shared what really happened and Rose too.
Well she did try to run two different people over with a car, she did sleep with former co-stars’ husbands, and she did get into very physical fights on multiple occasions. She was by no means an “innocent Angel.”
I have been manipulated in a job setting. Lots of backstabbing, people calling me aggressive, and eventually fired. The person behind it has a birthday close to Alyssa Milano’s, so I honestly find it believable. Whenever people “read” about Shannen it is often negative. People who work with her, or have actually met her in person, going back to 90210, have generally positive things to say about her and her work ethic. And I think that’s very telling.
Brad Kern has a history of sexism, and if anyone changed or "ruined" the show, it was him. A show like Charmed needed a female showrunner. I understand that the Alyssa/Shannen thing was more in people's minds because Prue and Phoebe were main characters, so they could blame Alyssa for all the changes that were happening, but really, it was Brad Kern. He didn't believe a woman could be happy without pursuing children, he has a hatred for career women and an actual sexual misconduct history as well. I remember there's a scene where Elise, Phoebe's boss, basically looks at you the viewer and says "in the 80s, many women made the choice between career and family, and I made the wrong choice" - that choice being pursuing a career. That's Brad Kern's message to women - you will never be happy without a husband and kids.
To be fair in the podcast shannen allude that this is the main problem as well since they don't even let the women to get along and fight as a group, hence why Alyssa did what she did. If there was actual effort in nurturing the best environment for the show, I doubt we would even have a version of Charmed where Paige was needed to fill the void.
I had a feeling 😢 that's probably why Alyssa had the power to give that ultimatum? If that actually happened idk. Shannon plays her characters on the bitchy side so I thought it was her fault.
Based on everything I've heard about Alyssa and all the stupid stuff she posts on Twitter, Alyssa sounds like a nightmare to work with. She gives off "Karen" vibes.
The show wasnt as good when Shannon was removed from the show. I only stayed because of Holly and Rose. And at the back of my mind im hoping Shannon will return.
@@rayj5091 we can't know that if Shannen stay the show won't last that long. As evidenced by Holly, none of the later seasons of Charmed got approved as quickly as Season 2.
@@rayj5091 i disagree rayj5091 because i think the show was better than shannen was in charmed show i think it would of been better if shannen was apart of season 4 as well
Shannen & Rose did a movie together before Charmed called Nowhere they are friends, it was in Season 3 that it came out about Brian & Alyssa were dating, when they were filming Piper & Leo's wedding Brian got handed divorce papers, plus Alyssa dated a lot of her Charmed guest stars
I loved Shannen as both Brenda and especially as Prue. I was so mad that on both times her character is removed and never showed again (tho Brenda actually comes back for the new generation). I don't care the reasons for Shannen's removal, both series, and especially Charmed, didn't feel the same for me after Shannen left the show. Even nowadays, Prue probably remains as my favorite character of any TV program.
Let's talk about the real problem - Brad Kern. Constance Burge wanted the show to be about sisterhood and women's empowerment. When she left, the show never felt the same. Brad Kern made it all about Piper's sons, random love interests, and skimpy outfits. Constance left because she became frustrated with the direction the storylines were going and because of disagreements with Brad Kern. I believe if Constance had stayed, things would have been different.
I agree..though i loved the focus on Wyatt and Chris in the later seasons just not the rest of it honestly that's the reboot we should of gotten not that other one no fan in their right mind actually liked imo of course.
The most annoying thing about Charmed after Shannon left was “phoebes never ending quest for love and kids” that shit dragged the whole series down and the best was Holly Marie Combs and how she picked up the slack
This is most likely Brad Kern's fault. His belief that a woman can't be happy without kids and a husband seeped through the show after he took over. Sometimes he would have characters overtly say it. As much as people like to take sides in the Alyssa/Shannen discourse, it's likely that if Shannen stayed, the same thing would've happened once Brad Kern took over as showrunner.
@@RLelling yeah but then they rushed the hell out of it when it came to Paige’s final love interest and phoebes forever guy ended up coming into play in 4 episodes - it was all outta wack
Armin Shimmerman guest starredbin season 4 of charmed and referred to all the three leads Holly, Rose and Alyssa as horrible He was there for one episode Alyssa has taken accountability for her part in the drama Now these guys want tj act like they didn't Co tri use anything to it Makes me side eye them especially Holly who was actually friends with Alyssa during and after the show and hung out with her a lot They even did that greys anatomy episode together and Holly was defending Alyssa about Shannon getting fired
@@shippendales8543yea 20+ years later and it’s still given me #YouCantSitWithUs vibes I’ve seen Alyssa say she how she takes her part ab admits to her part, I was wishing with Shannen & Holly talking about it finally that they would all say their side but also take responsibility for THEIR parts also but 🤷🏻♂️as soon as I heard the oh well AM and her family kept me from seeing HM… I was like ok how would one do that over a grown woman who’s NOT their family, like even if had clarified “ no it’s felt like they kept” but no it’s still seeming to be as she said very much high school type stuff. It’s a shame cus Shannen has so much more important going on& it seems like she’s still trying to be in a who’s number 1 contest. I just don’t care anymore, as a fan I’d love to see a movie or reboot or even all of them together for a con but just cus they played sisters don’t mean they have to be or even like each other in real life, now I just hoping for happy and healthy lives for all of them!
@@shippendales8543 I think it's important to make it clear that Shannen was in no way throwing shade at Alyssa during this podcast. In fact, she clearly stated there is no hate or anger involved; she wishes everyone well but her podcast is titled "Let's be Clear" for a reason and she said there is no point in continuing the lie anymore. She did not leave the show voluntarily, she was fired, and this unfortunately involved Alyssa. Alyssa is a big girl; she is more than capable of requesting to Shannen to be a future guest on her podcast to share her side of the experience, clarify any details, or offer any apologies she wants directly to Shannen if that's what she really feels moved to do. Considering her book is titled "Sorry, Not Sorry," and that turned Shannen off from wanting to read, it actually might help clear up any misunderstandings if there are any? Shannen's examples verify what Alyssa has admitted to: she felt in competition with Shannen. Alyssa's lawyers making backroom deals when she found out Shannen was making more money? Shannen was sought out for the script and #1 on the call list for a reason. Or the jealousy over who was getting photoshoots? Ironically, Shannen admitted she didn't even care about the photoshoots. They could be time consuming. Alyssa herself has publicly stated she feels bad about how she felt in competition with Shannen instead of there being that sisterhood that the show was all about. Shannen is just sharing her side of the experience. Oh, and for the record, Holly has always been a staunch supporter in Shannen's corner over getting fired from the show. Not sure why her commentary on the podcast would be surprising. This all came out shortly after Shannen was let go in an interview. Holly is just reiterating what she has already said before & what was experienced back then. She wanted to leave the show after what they did to Shannen. Holly was threatened with a lawsuit for breach of contract if she left. Shannen was actually the one to encourage her to remain with the show. she didn't have to beyond the initial contract (ie. Holly didn't have to stay beyond s4 or sign on to continue further). Shannen appreciated her close friend's steadfast support but told her it was a job, to keep it, and not to feel bad about it. I can not attest to the guest star's experiences with the 3 actresses after Shannen was gone.. It's the first I am hearing about it. I just know I heard & read that there was a lot of on set drama and the actresses felt like they were treated poorly by the network throughout the making of the series. Hollywood male egos and sexism being a part of that.. The women felt pitted against each other, which is likely what went down with Shannen & Alyssa. Holly clearly wasn't happy in s4 and didn't want to be there after what had just happened with Shannen. Rose also claims that Alyssa was difficult to work with, making it very hard to be there on set to work every day, but I have no idea when that started for her - right at the beginning or beyond that? Rose was also given the "lack of support pep talk" coming into the show later, told not to worry, if the show fails, it wouldn't be her fault because she had to take the place of Shannen & shows rarely survive a major casting change like that.. Given the overall energy and what was going on, yeah, it's definitely possible s4 wasn't an easy time to be working with any of the actresses directly. Doesn't necessarily mean they were "horrible" people though.
@@drockherb2073 I have to inquire here, what exactly are you looking for Shannen & Holly to take responsibility for? Things they may have never done just so "blame" sounds "equitable?" The truth of the matter is Shannen & Holly's actions did not lead to Alyssa losing her job. However, Alyssa's actions unfortunately led to Shannen losing her job. Alyssa used "official channels" and then threatened a lawsuit. Shannen didn't do that and neither did Holly. Alyssa also issued the final ultimatum. Shannen did not. Actually, Shannen has been quoted in the past as explaining how she was never the type to go out of her way to get another actress fired. She wouldn't seek to put them out of work, especially with how the industry could be. Knowing that, it makes sense to me why Shannen hadn't used the same official channels Alyssa had because she wasn't looking to get anyone fired nor to threaten a lawsuit. Holly gave an interview shortly after Shannen got fired and said they didn't need TPTB in their "girly problems;" that they were more than capable of working it out for themselves. Yeah, that probably relates to that "high school" reference.Alyssa made? Holly's recent commentary in this podcast also made it clear that what happened wasn't something anyone needed to lose their job over. Hey, I'm sure Shannen could have played the same game and used those "official channels" to complain if she wanted to. Then we possibly could have been looking at a slightly different outcome today. The reason why we probably don't hear about the "gritty" details, not even from Alyssa by the way, is because it's not all that relevant nor important now. Only the one action that led to Shannen being fired. Yeah, it's great that Alyssa has grown and admitted to her part in what happened. She has publicly stated she feels bad about having felt in competition with Shannen at the time instead of there being more of that sisterhood which the show was actually about. In fact, the examples Shannen cited on the podcast back up Alyssa feeling competitive. Alyssa's lawyers making backroom deals when she found out Shannen was making more money? The jealousy over who was getting photoshoots, yeah, it's easy to draw a logical conclusion that this lead to tensions on set, words were probably exchanged, and then hurt feelings resulted from it. Not to mention, Shannen & Holly came onto the show already established as close friends; there very well could have been some jealousy over that too. Nobody likes to feel like a third wheel. Yet, I don't feel it's a fair assessment to downplay Shannen's experience and brush it under the rug as" high school drama" at the time she tried to visit Holly in the hospital. That was a real life relationship. Alyssa and her mom micro-managing Holly's visitors without Holly's consent was uncalled for and likely spurred on by Alyssa's jealousy over the friendship with Shannen. That's definitely not "high school drama vibe" on Shannen's end, that was just petty on Alyssa's part. It was an action hurtful to both Shannen & Holly as Holly was wondering where Shannen was and why she wasn't visiting. I would also like to note, Alyssa has not publicly denied anything Shannen has asserted and claimed on the podcast. Could that be because it's actually the truth? Anyway, I have a feeling the situation with the girls was definitely used to the advantage of the network|production team to avoid Alyssa's lawsuit. Not only did the girls feel pitted against each other, there was other stuff going on behind the scenes as well. We don't know that Alyssa's threat of a "hostile work environment" lawsuit was only about was was going on with Shannen, seeing as that stuff sounds more petty in nature and likely wouldn't hold up in court by itself. My guess is Alyssa probably had other dirt and then threatened to use it if they didn't agree to eliminate "the competition" at the time. When Holly asked the production team why they would hire Shannen only to fire her again, they said "we didn't mean to." Basically, they were forced into making a choice to avoid the lawsuit. Shannen also stated on her podcast that she saved the "receipt in writing" where Brad Kern admitted to her they f'cked up in letting her go, lol. The past is obviously the past. Shannen has clearly stated there is no anger or hate directed at anybody now, she wishes everybody well; it's just about being clear and telling what happened. Her side of the story. It's not about keeping a feud going. Both women are big girls and if Alyssa really wants to, she can request to be on Shannen's podcast to either clear the air, apologize directly to Shannen for whatever she feels moved to apologize for, or just share her side of the experience.
When Shannen left, charmed changed! The tone and storytelling became lame. it basically became the "Phoebe show." Everything was about her characters lack of fashion sense or who her baby daddy was gonna be. It's so far from what we started with that even all these years, I still loathe seeing Phoebes scenes and story arcs. I heard Shannen wanted to take the show down a darker route, and tbh I would have loved to have seen this. For me, Holly, Shannen, and Rose were the stars of that show. Alyssa just made it the Alyssa show, and this shows in later seasons.
are you sure, I remember Piper had more..it did change, but I think a much needed change..in the first 3 seasons, they focused more on solving mysteries, but it was getting monotonous, everyone blamed Alyssa but I think Shannon really. got herself fired but the producers just took the opportunity over her conflict with Alyssa
@angel91485 Holly literally states that it was Alyssa and her team that gave show bosses the "her or me" ultimatum and threatened show bosses with a lawsuit! Shannen was fired. Holly and her both said that, but by the sounds of it, it wasn't by her own doing and was caused by jealousy, behind the scenes drama, entitlement, arrogant show bosses, lack of passion for the job..yadda yadda! To be fair to Shannen, she has always stated the same thing. Her story has never changed once, even after all these years. I think it's only fair that her side is put across honestly and fairly so that fans know it wasn't like she chose to leave willingly.
Yes angel I agree! They sound upset but everyone had a choice. Alyssa chose to go to mediation in an effort to fix the problems...Holly and Shannen refused which is fine they have their reasons but I don't understand the anger behind Alyssa choosing to go to mediation and them not. That was their personal choice. Also I'm sorry no disrespect but Shannen is not going to sell me on the fact that she was completely innocent in this situation at all. I have way more respect for Alyssa than Shannen because at least Alyssa takes accountability and owns up to her part in it Shannen didn't get kicked off of four shows for nothing.
@@jayar91 I get that, that was pretty obvious, but really producers cant just be heckled like that..but it seems they just agreed..behind the scenes, they also probably want to fire Shannon, as she likes to question them (as she admitted) and jut used Alyssa's reasons to fire her...its like washing off their hands of any stain of guilt
I think we should have a continuation with a alternate reality where Phoebe died and Prue survived. Opening up with them placing flowers on Phoebe’s grave just saying some kind words and moving on with Shannen Holly and Rose maybe even switching out Pages powers for Phoebes in this new reality or allowing Page to not only orb but she gets premonitions adding some new powers for each sister problem solve, there powers were technically growing . Then getting the show back to that like Originals/Buffy like action drama we loved so much. Side note you did an AMAZING job with your report and getting narrative accurate really bravo 💐 Is there anyway you can research how do we get in contact with the network to ask for Charmed return to air with Shannen Holly and Rose ?
@@rabbithole9555 lol well she can’t sue for being a actress on the show she’s isn’t a creator or the content I would think whomever owns the show makes that call
@@rabbithole9555 now I’d the newly created Charmed was using her image aka “likeness” that’s different hints why we never saw pictures of Prue after Shannen was fired Shannon wasn’t having it! I really want Charmed back without Phoebe or I’ll even take a recast of her role to be honest
I definitely think there is more to the story still, but this was Shannen's truth. Alyssa would have her own take, and the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. But ultimately, the network totally effed over not just Shannen (and Holly) but also the show. I do think the show had some solid stories and episodes after season 3, but I do think that it became way too Phoebe-focused, and not for the better. The show balanced the three sisters much better in the first 3 seasons.
Rose already said Alyssa is a predator I'm a gross way so we're just waiting for her allegations to be taken seriously. This woman has been flying under the radar for far too long.
I dont think they were holding back anything. Shannen isnt one to lie or sugarcoat. If you think about what Rose said anout Alyssa a few years ago, it seems like Alyssa was just a whiny and petty girl. She was jealous that Shannen was getting paid more and getting all the magazine covers. Plain and simple. Jealousy can make one act in an ugly way.
It also sounds like her mother could have been a big influence in her behaviour. The mention of Alyssa and her mother keeping Shannon away from Holly’s hospital room was rather interesting. Stage parents can ruin relationships and careers. I think that’s what happened to thora birch, if I’m remembering correctly
When Prue died, charmed died along with it, it became more and more about Phoebe this Phoebe that knowing that charmed is much better with Prue as the forefront.
Until season 5 (included) it was cool. Season 4 because of Rose and season 5 was a good storyline thank to Cole. But after it was an absolute disaster.
I actually hated the fact that shannen prue died in the show.. I wish the character of phoebe died there.. Because her character is just full of lame story, just all about sex and seduction. When prue died there were a lot of episodes that was just surrounding about phoebe's character. It was always her. My fave was piper I thought when prue died it would be more about her but it turns out more about phoebe or piper's child wyatt and chris. The whole story wasn't the way it used to be. Now I get it all. I really thought shannen quit because of pressure she was the leader of the show, her character made the show feisty and smart.
Re: Alyssa. I’ve worked hr before and the things people complain about are just petty. I wouldn’t be surprised if it could have been something as innocuous as Shannen and Holly having a bond and Alyssa would feel left out. So she would document each time she felt left out, call it hostile workplace and take it to the studio. It’s stupid but I’ve had to deal with these kind of people before and they just cause headaches.
Alyssa had another probleme with her Shannen started dating Julian the one who played Cole phoebes love interest, and Alyssa had feeling for him in real life but he picked Shannen so she choose the second best and started a affaire with Brian Krause /Leo who was still married at the time but in lasted only for few weeks. She acted like the victim but she ruined many peoples life Brian's his wifes, Shannen Holly and who knows how many people
Exactly - it's reading manipulative power play to me. Someone who knows how to use abuse of process to their favour. It's obvious from the other controlling behaviours of taking in Holly and keeping her apart from Shannon and making the websites. Sounds like a jealous schemer to me.
@82nesse I don't wanna sound like I'm defending Milano (cuz I'm definitely not) but it takes 2 to Tango but only 1 to have an affair... if he stepped out of his marriage, that's on him.
I now have a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to Alyssa ..... Even though Rose exposed her a while ago as a bad person I still liked her at least a little when it came to watching her on charmed but now idk ..... I don't like how Shannon has always sat back and gotten 💩 on for years while Alyssa sits pretty and acts innocent and like the victim even saying in interviews that she didn't know why they let Shannon go or wether or not she was fired or not When both holly and Shannon both said they knew Shannon didn't quit and that Alyssa threatened the producers with a lawsuit saying its either her or Shannon ..... So why is Alyssa acting like she knew nothing about it when it comes to interviews .... Like its Little things like that plus this podcast episode , plus what rose has said about Alyssa thats just adding up to a bad picture of Alyssa .... Like im sure Shannon wasn't an angel like shes even said she was hard to work with in the past but Alyssa is just coming off as a whole other ugly .... Like you can say that in the past people have had issues with Shannon but the same could be said about Alyssa so i don't get why people have always made Shannon out to be the bad guy , the problem , etc when Alyssa was just as guilty , just as jealous , just as in the wrong maybe even more 🤔
I really love your breakdown of this highly anticipated podcast. There was so much info that us fans were not privy to. I feel absolute sadness for Shannen. As Hollywood labeled her as "difficult". My takeaway from this is, I love the real sisterhood of Shannon and Holly ❤ so genuine, warm, and inviting. All my prayers and support to Shannon as she battles her health dilemna. Because I can speak for the fans that we would also love a "continuation" of Charmed. In whatever form it will be. ❤
I wish Charmed could get a full animated series! With Shannon and Connie involved. Emphasis on the action and story building. Like the DC cartoons or like Attack on Titan 🙇🏻
And Holly demanded the “as piper” credit in the credits otherwise she’d leave. Very egotistical. Actors shouldn’t get to make demands, you’re there to act. Unless they’re not sticking to source material (like Henry Cavill standing up for The Witcher which fans of the books praise him for)
Shan was always the better actress, and the more successful one. Looks are subjective but Shannen. Sparkled like a diamond and Alyssa looked like she was trying too hard and paled in comparison. Shannen is better in every way. Rose McGowan doesn’t mince words and she described Alyssa best. Alyssa went from being in Shannen’s bridal party to secretly threatening to sue to get her fired. She is pure toxic. Those who were involved with the show all said Shannen was a great actress and she took her work and the show seriously. They were not happy she left. She tried to make it the best it could be. No one else on charmed had a single problem with Shannen and Alyssa only recently said she wished she handled things differently and was less insecure then and that she has regrets about the part she played. It took Shannen having stage 4 cancer for her to say that.
Ultravioletpisces. Yes!! It was the same in every hit show. Those involved would say no matter who else was in a room or scene, your eyes would go right to Shannen. She has had that rare magnetism that just draw you in. Simply stunning.
Shannen (Prue) also dated Julian (Cole) IRL im pretty sure that had to do with alot of the issues on set as well! Youre right they're def holding back 😅
It has also been written that Alyssa and Brian were having an affair because Brian was married at the time. I'm not sure if Alyssa was the cause of their divorce but they were dating before Brian was divorced.
Holly also had a friendship with Alyssa after the show ended. I think they even did a episode of House or Grey's Anatomy or some sort of show like that together playing sisters again. I'd like to know what made her fall out with Alyssa
Holly tried to be in middle ground but that doesn't change the fact that she was always in Shannen's corner over getting fired. They were close friends before the show and after it. Nothing she said in the podcast should be that surprising; it's nothing new. She's reiterating what was said in an interview shortly after Shannen was let go: how she didn't want to be there after they fired Shannen. They threatened to sue her if she left for breach of contract. She also said (ie. In reference to Shannen) that you don't do that to somebody who helped make 2 of your shows successful. One of the other things she mentioned back then was that they didn't need TPTB in their "girly problems ," that they were more than capable of working it out themselves. So Shannen was definitely "let go" as the scapegoat to avoid a lawsuit. My guess is Alyssa had other things on the network|production team and used it to eliminate the competition at the time and gave the ultimatum. From what Holly even said on the podcast, what went on between them was nothing for anyone to lose their job over. Sounds like that petty stuff would not have held up in court on its own for a "hostile work environment." I think there was other stuff they didn't want coming out and they felt pressured into firing Shannen to keep it under wraps
@@heathergraham2581yeah they said she documented “every time she felt uncomfortable,” doesn’t necessarily mean it was limited to what Shannon did… (and there was a lot of complaints about Brad and the male production team) Also interesting is the idea that it was “Shannon and Holly” verses Alyssa but the only one Alyssa went after was… Shannon. Idk why but this just makes me think that Allyssa was more the problem and she felt like Shannon was the star and if she could push Shannon out *she* could be the star. It’s giving “showgirls” and “black swan.” The whole idea of the young ingénue sabatagimg the aging prima Donna to dethrone her and take her place.
@@heathergraham2581the “girly problems” makes me think that Shannon and Holly felt that the production team was very dismissive and patronizing to them and felt basically the same about the introduction of the mediator… like this is just for show cuz you don’t take us seriously and we don’t trust this “mediator” you paid for.
There was no mention about Julian McMahon, who played Cole. That's disappointing. That was part of the tea 20 years ago when this all went down. Shannen and Julian were dating in real life. At this point, Shannen, Alyssa, and HMC were tight in real life. Shannen and Alyssa were bridesmaids in HMC's real life wedding during season 2 of the show. And then Julian ended up scoring the role of Cole in season 3. All was good...until it became clear that the pairing of Phoebe and Cole became a huge fan favorite for the show, and viewership/ratings went up thanks to their tortured love story. One person was somewhat less than thrilled, however, with all the screen time that Alyssa and Julian were sharing in romantic scenes, and became somewhat resentful of their growing popularity as a couple. That would be Shannen. Reportedly, relations became strained as season 3 went on, and Phoebe and Cole's storyline progressed. In the season 3 episode "The Good, the Bad, and the Cursed" where Prue and Cole travel to a western town to free them from a time loop curse that threatened to kill Phoebe, it was common feedback back then that there was a vibe between Prue and Cole when they first arrived in the western town all huddled up. Some said Shannen wasn't THAT good of an actress to hide her attraction from her real life honeybear at the time. By the end of season 3, we hardly saw Phoebe and Prue in any scenes by themselves speaking to each other. Apparently, things between Alyssa and Shannen had become so strained by then that the writers would compensate with the Prue and Phoebe scenes. So what could possibly have driven these actresses to go from being in each other's wedding in season 2, to threatening the showrunners with "either she goes or I sue" by the end of season 3? I could easily see a man being behind an escalation that quick. People today forget that this was the early 2000s. And back then, cast members with conflict would flex with the showrunners to see whose flex was stronger. Well clearly, at this point in time, Alyssa's flex was stronger than Shannen's. No one was under the false impression that Shannen quit. We all knew she was let go, and we all knew that it was because the showrunners were given an ultimatum to choose between Alyssa and Shannen. So in all honesty? This really is old news. Literally the only new part is finding out that HMC wasn't as neutral in all of this as we all had assumed she was for the last 20 years.
I am SO glad someone else remembers all of this tea! That was the catalyst for the end of her spot on the show. Did other things occur that helped her removal they seem to gloss over? I believe so, or there would not have been a list of grievances.
All four are open to returning. It's up to CBS and whomever to get the ball rolling. Personally, I think all of this drama (if that's what you want to call it) is good publicity for the continuation. It gets peoples attention and talking about all the actors. Gets their names back out there and people talking again. So we'll see. There's lots of options and story-lines they could play with for the continuation. Be it a movie or limited season.
@@heathergraham2581With Shannen, no Alyssa. I'd love to see a Charmed version where Phoebe dies instead of Prue, but I would also love a Charmed version where none of the sisters die, then they met Page, then we'd have 4 Charmed ones. (An non-woke version, but a version on how Constance M. Burge would have wanted it originally)
I think the truth lies somewhere in between, as always with such stuff. We never got Alyssa's side of the story (haven't read her book, but if she would have said lots of negative things, it surely would have ended up in the media as well 🤔. Anyway, it has been said that both Shannen and Alyssa were "difficult to work with" and that they created tension on set. So, at the end, I think what happened was their egos clashed very much and both were at fault.
I don’t trust Alyssa Milano at all especially considering if you look into the background of her husband, he has spent his entire career covering up sexual assault in Hollywood
I think Alyssa was heavily influenced by her mother who was constantly involved behind the scenes. The mother kind of created this competition narrative between the girls and was, of course, pushing for her daughter.
Hmm i have thoughts: - All 4 of their stories keep changing. - i agree that I wanna know what Alyssa complained about that Holly seemed to downplay. In the interest of fairness. This doesn't change the fact that i know Alyssa is a LIE like Rose told us - Didn't Shannon make up with Alyssa very recently? - Didn't Shannon and Holly have beef recently? - Also Holly sounds entitled if she's expecting her coworker to apologize for having a consual relationship with her colleague. Very strange. They are all problematic individuals. The actor that played the wizard in S4 said so too.
@@bleep1402 no doubt. I personally think she's a truly terrible human being and we saw how she was in 2020 discrediting victims of alleged SA because she wanted to be close to a politician. Truly disgusting considering she was one of the faces of the #metoo movt. But the remaining ladies have expressly shown to the public over the years that they too are deeply problematic too. Even with rehashing all this drama several decades after like school girls and the lies, the absolute lies, they all told saying they didn't know why Shannon was fired. Unacceptable.
@TCt83067695 Seems like they're legally silenced and Shannen was set up and silenced by a shady person. She's up front and in your face, while Alyssa was Conniving, manipulative and hateful along with her monther. I think that's where all the years of Shannen's anger has come from. Anger. Sweet little evil Alyssa got the advantage and Shannen will legally and publicly never be able to clear it up. She was done wrong. Everyone's opinions of Shannen are literally from what the public was told, plus what she was forced to say. Think about it.
@@bleep1402 seems like they were legally silenced? Do you have any evidence of that? If they were silenced, what changed? Why are they blabbing now? Did Shannon and Holly tell you they were silenced legally? May I just say? If a neutral observer read your comment they would assume you're coming from an irrational hatred of Alyssa which is clouding your judgment of the faults of the other women. But I may be wrong tho.
Charmed was fairly popular amongst the fans, but to say it's one of the most successful tv shows ever is a bit outrageous. Think about all the history of the most outstanding shows with great writing and acting. Charmed doesn't even show up on the radar. I really wish people wouldn't exaggerate.
Alyssa should’ve tried to work through her issues with Shannen. It never was as good after All Hell Breaks Loose for me. Instead she played a treacherous game and ruined it for everyone who loved the original three.
I’m thinking that it wasn’t actually personal. Like it was never about Alyssa feeling left out or having personal issues with Shannon but more about her career. Like… Shannon was clearly the star. Alyssa wanted to be the star so she pushed Shannon out. That’s what I think after watching several shows about this the last couple of days.
@@andreo9178 “If that’s not personal, idk what to call it.” ambition. (That’s what to call it) It wasn’t “personal” in the sense that she didn’t personally dislike her, but rather- she was ruthless and competitive and believed “get them before they get you.” As in “it’s not personal, it’s business.” Personal would be “you did something to me and this is payback,” Business is “there is only room for one star and I will sabotage and backstab to make sure that’s me. That’s how we play the game where I come from.” That’s what I mean by “it’s not personal.”
@@andreo9178 in other words she didn’t have any “personal issues to work out,” which is what @allknowingoracle3277 suggested she should have done. (Meaning that she had some personal issues like feeling disrespected, feeling left out, or whatever.) I’m suggesting Shannon didn’t *do something* that Alyssa was “working out” in an unhealthy way. Rather she felt Shannon was a professional threat in the days that women were given few opportunities they had to fight for amongst themselves. She wasn’t undercutting her for a deeper unresolved “issue” but as a ruthless career strategy. (And it pretty much worked) She didn’t like or dislike Shannon as a person. She merely wanted to eliminate the competition.
If anyone is honest, the show got so much worse after she left. Season four was decent but after that it went to crap. Phoebe wasn't even a good character.
To me another suspicious detail is Shannen saying that she got fired from the other show because she was late. Implying that being late one time can get someone fired. I'm pretty sure that had to be some other reasons. Either she's embelishing a little or she's not aware of the other reasons.
She did a podcast with Jason Priestley as well. She talks about it. She was in a DV situation at the time, she said her make-up artist was having to cover bruises before she went to film
Alyssa Milano is the problem! Rose McGowan and Shannen Doherty had to deal with her shid and they didn't even work with her at the same time. She's a bully. Look into what Rose has to say about her and her husband.
Alyssa Milano had an affair with Brian Kern (who was married at the time) the show runner, which gave her grounds for a hostile workplace suit which she blackmailed Kern with if he didn’t get rid of Shannon and make her the star and script focal point.
It was 🌟💞Shannon Doherty's Show and She was the bigger star at the time and a Diva and Aylassa Milano was a former big tv show starlet Too and more of a Diva. I watched it for Shannon and liked Alyssa Milano until she acted like a real petty, jealous and mean spirited Lil B😯
Who are you? lol 💕 you just popped up on my feed and I really like you! I was searching for a video that summed all this up and couldn't believe I couldn't find one. Then you came up and it was exactly what I wanted. Thank you!!! I've subscribed, really enjoy your personality and how you explain it all. Great job! ❤️
I don’t think it was one thing, I think whatever Alyssa documented was very small and very minor. What she said off the record though may have been different. The rumor I heard was that Shannon was a lead, getting to much screen time, being a bad ass etc. Alyssa wanted that, it the eternally innocent love sick naive youngest sister. If you progress the show Alyssa does get a lot more combat scenes, a lot more stand alone in the moonlight scenes. Which was Shannon was already at. I imagine it like “Shannon is micro managing my parts.” On paper because she was directing. Off the record it would have been more like “did you see her today? Like what is this?” I remember Alyssa once complained the set of charmed was like high school, she was like the new girl not in a good way. Enter Holly saying “she never even went to high school.” Which I think cements Alyssa trying to separate Holly and Shannon.
If you listen to the podcast Shannen pretty much makes it clear Aaron and the network of men were the real problems who pit the girls against each other. And Shannen was fired from 90210 for being late, but she was late because her Dad was sick. She had also said and realized that the way she talked with the writers came on very strong and regrets the way she did it because it caused friction. Aaron was also doing backdoor deals with Alyssa which was shady as hell. Shannen is dying and I would believe her, someone dying is not gonna lie. And all these years she had not spoken her story.
I really wonder what happened there recently. I'm glad Holly & Shannen seem to get along well, but HMC seemed really friendly towards Alyssa recently, on IG and even on HOH, and it seems that they don't really follow each other now... Well, I do agree with Alyssa on one point: the behind the scenes stories kind of remove the magic of what we felt as viewers. Still, I do hope, one day, we'll get the continuation we all hope for :)
Milano documented everything. It would be interesting to see what was documented. It might save her from the millions of fans she has pissed off but then if that was the case don’t you think she would have used that ace up her sleeve? The Shannon and Holly would have known that? & the still shared their story.
They're older and wiser now and know that it was bs. Plus Alyssa has bigger fish to fry with being exposed by Rose McGowan. Everybody can't be the problem.
There was 2 serious problems in her private life which no one on the set of 90210 knew. Her father was seriously ill and one other problem. Spelling later found out what made her late and that was why he approached her about charmed.
I agree with Shannon that the script writing was a mess. The storyline was good but so many scenes just didn’t make sense. The transitions just weren’t there to help support the actresses. I guess all the drama going on behind the set lead to the shows demise disappointing the viewers in the end.
People are complex and I get the feeling Shannon and Alyssa were very different. They were never friends, work colleagues. Holly was neutral about the whole situation to keep her job. Charmed lost its magic and depth for me by season 6. The Prue character felt temporary. Piper and Phoebe had potential as we saw and the addition of Rose as Paige was cool. Whatever happened and we talking about it all these years is interesting. Your probably right some non disclosure may have been signed..they can be broken. Maybe Holly will write a book one day when she's older. I think the Prue character should of been included in series finale. Shame we never got a Charmed movie. I feel 2 strong creative women with different ideas most likely didn't get on. Rest in peace Shannon
One of the extras on the show appeared at a convention, he played a wizard I think? And he said out of all the shows he worked on, charmed was the “ugliest” when it came to diva moments. My personal theory is that all three of them (minus rose) made the set a toxic work environment, but because Alyssa had evidence of it all, the studio sided with her.
Also, another piece of tension was Julian McMahon (Cole) … if I remember correctly he was dating or dated Shannen prior or during filming and Alyssa would tease and taunt about how she got to do xyz with Julian and it also gives a little texture to the onscreen dynamic between Prue and Cole. … smh, one of my biggest wishes is that Prue never died.
Not much of this was news to me because my mom followed all the tea at the time. It is just confirmation that what she told me was true. Now, what I do find interesting is that Holly had to be forced to stay. I personally feel like that energy came thru in the following seasons.
Really enjoyed your video. Giving as much information that you can find while trying to be as fair and unbiase in talking about the on going situation about the issues of the OG Charmed. Whomever you believe, I like that in no way that you had to defame any of those involve in order to make any points come across. 👏
Yes of course they are still mad at Alyssa Milano what she did in the past it doesn't mean that Shannen Doherty or Holly Marie combs forgive Alyssa Milano but I think they want to leave that behind because it's not that important so this is why they did not explain what was inside the document that Alyssa Milano was complaining because probably it was something serious that she did not like it had to be a contract or something like that it probably she asked her mother for help who knows because let's just say that Alyssa Milano she was kind of like the Kim Kardashian she could get away with everything 21:25 So I do not think they want to explain all the details what was happening and also what concerns the document 21:25
Rose had nothing negative to say about Alyssa until Alyssa defended Weinstein’s ex wife when she was receiving harassment for his crimes. It was a distraction and her trying to avoid being called out for her own behavior. She was r*ped by Weinstein in the 90s she worked with him for another 10 years. She is still good friends with people who are close friends of his and who knew about his behavior like for example: Tarantino. She also defended Victor Salva when allegations came out about him saying she wasn’t interested in the accusations and he was always “nice” to her. Meanwhile, she had the nerve to call Alyssa a “lie.”
Alyssa was the biggest mistake they made on the show..her casting was like injecting poison that slowly killed the show that wouldve been the true Charmed had Shannen stayed and Connie Burge remained the writer...her Phoebe character was good at first but after season 4 was completely useless having no active powers, no acting skills and was more like an object or accessory on the show, no real contribution and nothing of great importance or value to the Charmed universe. Charmed was not made for an Alyssa it was for Shannen.🤦♂🤷♀
I've seen it in Instagram and I was shocked because I never knew that real life Phoebe Alyssa Milano she went out with Leo in real life Brian Karuse and the Shannen Doherty she went out with real life cole Turner Julian McMahon I never listen to the podcast but now you explained because you have listened to the podcast probably did not want to spill all the tea because they don't want any more drama probably is because there was enough drama behind the scenes so it's not like they trying to protect Alyssa Milano of course in Charmed Prue and Piper would do everything to protect Phoebe but in real life Shannen Doherty and Holly Marie combs they don't want any more drama with Alyssa Milano so one of them goes in their own path so probably this is why they did not want to explain what was in the document because it was not important 23:44
Anytime you are offered mediation, you should take it unless you plan on going to court, since mediation is your last chance to keep everything from hitting the fan.
I love the show Charmed. Shannon been a Legend in the game since Little house on the prairie. I wish they would have cut her part. But I did enjoy the youngest sister.
I'm seeing a lot of people saying that the show changed when Shannon left, it would be the same when Alyssa left! It wasn't just Shannon, the show was about the bond of three sisters. It wouldn't be the same show if any of those sisters had left!!!!
Lovely breakdown. First off, it’s Krause is pronounced “KraOWS” - “Ow” like you’re hurt lol. I believe as stated by Holly that she made EVERYONE sign an NDA and probably Shannen and her attorneys to make no one talk about the matter and tell Shannen’s story. Hence why when anyone on the show was asked about Shannen’s departure, they danced around the question - especially Alyssa. Back then and to this day. There are news articles where it verbatim says Alyssa would come in and say “Good Morning” to Shannen and sometimes she wouldn’t say it back and vice versa. There were probably petty things like that and high school things where the two would ostracise Alyssa and probably when Alyssa tried to seduce Holly into her family then that probably cause a rift too. I think it’s just small and petty but it accumulated. I think Shannen dating Julien and Alyssa dating Brian also didn’t help. Also Shannen and Holly fell out somewhere between Shannen being diagnosed with cancer. This is documented publicly by Holly on a video podcast on TH-cam named “Women on Top” which came out in 2019/2020 and she stated they fell out because they got “too close”. They only recently (end of last year/beginning of this year) got back in touch and refollowed each other on social media.
To add, I hope they actually talk about Brad Kern and what actually happened between Shannen and Alyssa. I hope Rose gets brought on to express her dislike of Alyssa and how Alyssa made the set “toxic AF” in Rose’s opinion. I also hope Shannen reads the letter Brad wrote for her lol. There’s also disgusting allegations about Brad Kern regarding sexual misconduct on another show and how he got fired post Charmed. He was rumoured to show these gross qualities on Charmed!
That’s a weird reason to abandon a friendship. Too close? I used to follow both of them on Insta and Shannen made comments about friendship and people not being there or something when she got sick. Then suddenly Sarah M Geller was her BFF . Odd…
@@maryjomichele I dread to think there wont be full transparency from Shannen in fear of being problematic or seen as “bitchy”. This video correctly states that they’re missing things out. On Shannen’s instagram people have called out Holly and Shannen’s friendship and fallout and both ladies are denying it… Holly especially was quite rude in the comments. Sarah has actually always been Shannen’s friend, they met when Shannen was filming season 2 of Charmed. They got closer when Shannen was diagnosed. Shannen was at Sarah’s baby shower etc. they’ve always been quite close.
@@seana_momsen agree there won’t be transparency. And if they are both denying the falling out it is odd, I saw the comments . I just think it’s so high school, especially with her diagnosis. Great job on the video !
And btw it was known Alyssa was jealous wherever she could. So Holly had to film with her rl boyfriend Leo (Brian Krause) and Alyssa got to film with Shannon's rl boyfriend Cole (Julian McMahon) that must have been a disaster. I always loved Shannon (So did my mum) ❤
11:12 I feel like the mediator thing could go both ways- like they refused to be part of the solution… but I got the sense like they felt the mediator was a trap.. or they basically didn’t trust this mediator. I would say that it does seem like maybe they excluded Alyssa *except that* Rose also said that Alyssa was horrible and maybe they excluded her for good reason, not just because they were “mean girls” as I’ve heard suggested.
I wonder if that site was How Does it Feel to be Charmed. That was the biggest site in 98. Her mother started safesearch because Alyssa did Embrace if the Vampire and was topless and was showing her bottom half
I dont think Shannon is goody goody like ppl are making her to be . My cousin said growing up she read she would out partying acting like diva. Just because she got cancer doesn't mean she used to be a good person. I do like Shannon and dont wish bad for her. But I find it funny Holly and Shannon digging up old stuff for attention and Alyssa always remains quite. The two that are talking are out for attention in my opinion
No shannen is speaking her truth and her story before she dies, people want to know the story why she left charmed she’s telling it. Alyssa is known to be hard to work with aswell. How is it about attention if that were the case they would have said this for the last 20 years but they haven’t.
RIP Shannon Doherty ❤
It shows us that Piper's anger and tears in season 4 were real.
She said the scene at the grave was her hardest to film and she channeled her feelings about being there with Shannen into the scene.
Holly made me a fan of the show. The casting team really slept on her in the beginning.
They fired her, them asked her to come work on another project and gave her enough pull to pick her co star... it's giving she was never the problem
@profwriteteacher9887 why are u asking me to explain something u already don't agree with? It's ok to have different opinions 🤷🏾♀️
@@lilmissdahlia2904 Nowhere am I asking you any questions or for explanations. I’m expressing my view. The “how’s that” is rhetorical
Ooooo interesting!
@@moviefan4life166~ I saw an interview with Rose saying how crazy Alyssa was...
I just enjoy the fact that Shannen and Rose have become good friends, they are so cute
Yes I totally agree with you about kerns 💯
Unfortunately you are correct but no one will ever focus on that, because people prefer a good cat fight.
Shannon plays her characters on the bitchy side so I thought it was her fault.
he was a pig. i wish constance burge had never let him in. bet she regretted it. he stole her show from her
I can’t lie I use to watch charmed waiting for Prue to comeback from the dead.
SAME!
Same it was crazy that it never happened
Such a shame I wished she would have came back
Same!
Me too. Prue was my favorite of the Halliwell sisters.
I met Shannon last year, and she was an absolute sweetheart.
LMFAO the show got way better when she left... the reason it went on to season 8
😂😂 way better , what exactly got better @@rayj5091
@@rayj5091 we can't know that if Shannen stay the show won't last that long. As evidenced by Holly, none of the later seasons of Charmed got approved as quickly as Season 2.

Says a lot about her doesn’t it!
If not for Shannen, Holly would have never been in Charmed. Crazy.
Very.
I so agree!!
If it was such a bad work environment then Alyssa shouldve been the one to leave
Yup! Esp since she begged to have her character killed off, and tried to get out of her contract for months during season 3.
That's a debate. Possible, but if the network was willing to invest 5+ seasons after Shannen left.
I agree..though i loved the focus on Wyatt and Chris in the later seasons just not the rest of it honestly that's the reboot we should of gotten not that other one no fan in their right mind actually liked imo of course.
All of this!
I agree. I also wanted to see more sisterhood!!
RIP Shannen Doherty ❤ Glad I found this today.
That is a producer and writer ‘s fault. Seeing how crazy left winged Alyssa Milano is, do you honestly believe that was her doing? Come on now. 😂
You’re so right! I didn’t care about her and Jason and her other love interests.
Exactly. Let's not pretend beautiful women can't find love lol
She was just Hella picky
I don't think Shannen, Holly or Rose like Alyssa at this point.
Armin Shimmerman guest starredbin season 4 of charmed and referred to all the three leads Holly, Rose and Alyssa as horrible
He was there for one episode
Alyssa has taken accountability for her part in the drama
Now these guys want tj act like they didn't Co tri use anything to it

It’s a shame cus Shannen has so much more important going on& it seems like she’s still trying to be in a who’s number 1 contest. I just don’t care anymore, as a fan I’d love to see a movie or reboot or even all of them together for a con but just cus they played sisters don’t mean they have to be or even like each other in real life, now I just hoping for happy and healthy lives for all of them!
that's just one opinion, you've had hundreds of guests over the years and none said one bad word about them@@shippendales8543
Ehh Phoebe was always my favorite as a kid lol
Oooh I'm liking your thoughts on a continuation! I also agree she did an amazing job summarizing the podcasts for us!😊
If only,.. that would be Awesome, but Alyssa Milano would probably sue.😮
I really want Charmed back without Phoebe or I’ll even take a recast of her role to be honest
nah Phoebe's powers suck, Paige has the best powers so I want her to keep hers
I definitely think there is more to the story still, but this was Shannen's truth. Alyssa would have her own take, and the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. But ultimately, the network totally effed over not just Shannen (and Holly) but also the show. I do think the show had some solid stories and episodes after season 3, but I do think that it became way too Phoebe-focused, and not for the better. The show balanced the three sisters much better in the first 3 seasons.
Alyssa has already given her take in her book "Sorry Not Sorry" And that title should tell you everything you should need to know.
That goes for both of them (jealousy).
Agreed!
Alyssa Milano always has been a Horrible person,
i thought she was horrible just recently but now we know she has been like that for a long time!!!
She acted like the victim but she ruined many peoples life Brian's his wifes, Shannen Holly and who knows how many people
Alyssa's recent gofundme lmao
I don't like how Shannon has always sat back and gotten 💩 on for years while Alyssa sits pretty and acts innocent and like the victim even saying in interviews that she didn't know why they let Shannon go or wether or not she was fired or not
When both holly and Shannon both said they knew Shannon didn't quit and that Alyssa threatened the producers with a lawsuit saying its either her or Shannon .....
Call Shannen whayever you want, but you cannot call her a liar.
Shannen made the Script for 3x21 and 3x22 and was the producer and this episodes are one of the bests❤
I wish Charmed could get a full animated series! With Shannon and Connie involved. Emphasis on the action and story building. Like the DC cartoons or like Attack on Titan 🙇🏻
Right it would be awesome 💗
Jenna Ortega being made a producer isn’t unprecedented. Holly and Alyssa were made producers after Shannen Doherty were fired.
Shannon has a unique and incredible beauty. Like she has that pop.
Youre right they're def holding back 😅
Milano is a nightmare.
She’s not tho. She was offered the role of Phoebe becaus Spelling himself said she was an absolute joy to work with on the set of Melrose Place.
@@SamiLo2 None of us knowing her personally only have what she presents in public and nothing I've seen tells me any different often the contrary.
It has also been written that Alyssa and Brian were having an affair because Brian was married at the time. I'm not sure if Alyssa was the cause of their divorce but they were dating before Brian was divorced.
She actually dated a few of her costars
That is why they got divorced. Alyssa was not the first person Brain cheated on his wife with. But she was the last.
Holly also had a friendship with Alyssa after the show ended. I think they even did a episode of House or Grey's Anatomy or some sort of show like that together playing sisters again. I'd like to know what made her fall out with Alyssa
I wonder if it has anything to do with Alyssa’s book “Sorry not sorry”
Facts, Even while on the show they were good friends who hung out.
@@heathergraham2581yeah they said she documented “every time she felt uncomfortable,” doesn’t necessarily mean it was limited to what Shannon did… (and there was a lot of complaints about Brad and the male production team)
Also interesting is the idea that it was “Shannon and Holly” verses Alyssa but the only one Alyssa went after was… Shannon.
Let’s be clear the reboot did suck
So true .. Trailer already sucked..
I liked it. Should have lasted longer.
They totally screwed the pooch right from the start with the reboot.
Not Rose, she always said she hated Alyssa and was celebrating inside when the show ended, because she didn't have to work with her anymore.

Hmm i have thoughts:
- All 4 of their stories keep changing.
- i agree that I wanna know what Alyssa complained about that Holly seemed to downplay. In the interest of fairness. This doesn't change the fact that i know Alyssa is a LIE like Rose told us
- Didn't Shannon make up with Alyssa very recently?
- Didn't Shannon and Holly have beef recently?
- Also Holly sounds entitled if she's expecting her coworker to apologize for having a consual relationship with her colleague. Very strange.

She wasn’t undercutting her for a deeper unresolved “issue” but as a ruthless career strategy. (And it pretty much worked)

She was in a DV situation at the time, she said her make-up artist was having to cover bruises before she went to film
no, she also said that she had ideas to make the show better and she stuck up for herself so the producers were annoyed

This was so good.

@@shippendales8543 yet she hired her again. So, I don't think she was that problematic then.
Alyssa Milano was just as big as Shannen Doherty at the time.
Thank you for the video 👍🏻
So Shannen can't give input but Jared Leto pulls a bunch of BS and still gets hired. 🙄
I'm not shocked. I always thought Shannon got a rough deal.
And I do believe Shannon was dating the guy who played Cole in real live
And Alyssa dated Brian - before he got divorced
Alyssa is a toxic person. Rose McGowan talked about how crazy Milano was...
Not much of this was news to me because my mom followed all the tea at the time. It is just confirmation that what she told me was true. Now, what I do find interesting is that Holly had to be forced to stay. I personally feel like that energy came thru in the following seasons.
Life is constant change. They were able to navigate what was, and move forward for 5 more seasons. 👍🏽
I saw Shannon Doherty at a vip event that I worked at in 2011.
Really enjoyed your video. Giving as much information that you can find while trying to be as fair and unbiase in talking about the on going situation about the issues of the OG Charmed.
Whomever you believe, I like that in no way that you had to defame any of those involve in order to make any points come across. 👏
Imagine the show where they had Rose McGowan instead of Alyssa Milano from the start - fierce.
I don’t like the seasons without prue
Yes of course they are still mad at Alyssa Milano what she did in the past it doesn't mean that Shannen Doherty or Holly Marie combs forgive Alyssa Milano but I think they want to leave that behind because it's not that important so this is why they did not explain what was inside the document that Alyssa Milano was complaining because probably it was something serious that she did not like it had to be a contract or something like that it probably she asked her mother for help who knows because let's just say that Alyssa Milano she was kind of like the Kim Kardashian she could get away with everything 21:25
So I do not think they want to explain all the details what was happening and also what concerns the document 21:25
Pure forever
How would producers deduct pay from Holly if she was bagging Groceries in Arizona?
Well, it seems AM had issues not only with Shannon, but also Rose McGowan later on so the common denominator is AM!
Thanks for the explanation! Would love if you could do a follow up with all the other stuff being said, I'm losing track ❤
And Brian was still super married while dating Alyssa
Appreciate the recap, nicely articulated but anyone is interested they can listen to the podcast because this video is verbatim the show
I dont think Shannon is goody goody like ppl are making her to be .
17:09 holly talked about this and she said “it was too much dna swapping” Allysa dated the guy who played Dan too…
