Great, this is actually one of the best demo around of the magic couple "Korg gadget+nanokey studio". The only thing I don't like about the nanokey studio is the awkward keyboard. Couldn't they just put a normal 2/3 octave minikeys keyboard?
Although I believe they could strap a normal keyboard there, I am quite confident that the main concept was to emulate the “gadget” aspect of the program (Korg gadget) itself rather by implementing the “scale” element on the keys and making it easier adoptable by amateurs. That’s the reason I am on the fence between that and the microkey air at the moment. :( By the way, very nice composition. ;j
Honestly the keys are a little clunky. I'm not the strongest keys player so the size and shapes of the keys are a little awkward. It integrates beautifully with the korg gadget app and works really well with ableton!
Well if that's the worst thing then i guess that's not so bad. I was in a caffeine fueled rage the afternoon i whipped this up, and I'm sure the drum pattern was the last thing on my mind. I've always wanted to make another video like this, especially since I've gotten a bit better at making little beats, but my camera has bit the dust :/
