Cadence is trying so hard to make their woofer look like a mid-range lol! The surround is just that big for looks. I'm betting it can handle 50-75 watts true rms and that's why it started burning up.
I have a Skar 12 and 2 15s in my room right next to an Xbox one PS4 (both with external hard drives) and a pc. No problem had it like that for 2 years and some change.
This is untrue. If you have a decent tv stand, the console won’t even feel the vibrations. The only way a subwoofer is going to damage anything is if the console is sitting directly on top of the enclosure which vibrates like all hell.
Look, hard drives break at high frequency vibrations, subs produce very low frequencies. It is all about the resonant frequency of the write head and the platters, those have their resonance somewhere in the 400-1200 hz range. Subs produce from 20-150, no danger since the frequencies don't overlap. On top of that, the hard drives are mounted in cages that reduce vibrations. And they have sensors that detect vibrations and according to those sensors, bring the head out of the platter stack.

they can take more power , they were stinking because the amp was clipping .
