Wow ☺! What a diesel locomotive we have here - However I'm surprised at 50-60 years old, they take off quick - that's quicker than a Class 68 or 88 I've seen in about a few TH-cam videos. I wonder if Class 37's have always sounded like this 😏!
Yes and yes. Pull like the proverbial train and 60’s grunt was better and louder than the quiet (ish) EMD powered stuff that seems to rule the rails. Make the most of the 37’s out of Norwich as the 68’s have already gone and the days are numbered for the 37’s. Line improvements taking place, modernisation and the loss of a little glimpse of the past on the bittern line. Take a joy ride to Lowestoft before 2019 ends and the works been completed. New trains in order for that line.

I travel Yarmouth to Norwich on these all the time and they are always real quick off the mark.
