Most Insane Immersive Movie Experience EVER, Part 3

- Check out this guy's room totally change into the movie he is watching! No SFX, no post production, no cuts, everything you see here is 100% for real.
We were funded by the Video Store of PlayStation® Store (www.greatfilmsfillrooms.com) to make a series of movie related videos using 'Immersive Imaging' which takes 3D projection mapping as its starting point, but gives the viewer a supercharged experience with the help of the PlayStation Move controller.
In the past, projection mapping worked only from a single, static view point, and thus was very limited. By attaching the PlayStation Move to the camera, we can track projections to screens in real time, enhancing the effect of spatial deformation and false perspective on the projections and allowing viewers to look round (virtual) corners, bend walls, create a hole in the wall, or remove the walls altogether to reveal vast expanses of virtual worlds. - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
that guy on the right tho.. *epic dancing*
I love how happy they all are at the end!
Truly EPIC!
All three of these are great. It's amazing what high-lumens digital projection mapping and creativity can produce. But I wonder how many takes it took to do these in "one take."
Really great!!
I really like when the guy in the white outfit wanders in and puts the glass on the table. It's like he wasn't paying attention when they were doing all the planning but figured he had best do something.
The dance at the end made it.
Fun stuff!
Totally cool
awesome sauce
Can't believe i just watched a video with mime in it and still liked it :)
If only movies were all like this
Kind of like what I'm working towards but aiming for physical touch to get other senses involved. Nice work on your project.
love the mime. lol!
love the crazy mime guy at the end. great use of a 2d corner to make you think its 3d. Authur C Clarke would be so proud. the veldt... is hat it reminds me of.
Where's a plumber when you need one?
Lol guy on the far right at 1:14 doing mime!
Ahahahahahah! The guy on the right at 1:12 ! xD
that is epic
dudes, im curious. how did you guys do that with no post production when it looks like it? O.O
great work!
Just one question, what kind of projector do you use and how many?
Optoma? which one?
What's the soundtrack to this video?
I want to get the chill out song that plays at the start, unless it's some inhouse music they made.
The mimo is so cool
thats epic
i approve of the mime
Is part 4 coming soon?
That guy dancing on the right at 1:13 , disturbed me deeply, looks like he wasn't even wearing any underpants, no wonder he is a dancer. I now am scared for life.
So if I spill coke, I can be a pirate? SWEET.
Holodeck? Oh hells yeah!
It's funny how at the beginning of the video they state the video was "shot in one take", yet the guy with the clapper says "Part 3. Take 17". Lol.
crazy
That is the future guys ;)
pero qué chulada!!!!!
nice
Where can I get in touch with the creators?
ɷɷ I Have Watchedd Thiss Movieeee Leakeddd Versionnn Hereeee : - t.co/e6QlTccFx6
this looks just like the Skrillex mothership tour concerts, I wonder this this tech will start to become more common..
Genial, ahorra horas de pos producción. Si eso es Playstation 3 quiero YA ver la 4.
Do those people with the tenticles and the obvious CGI shark fin at 0:44 come with each unit sold then?
Dear Santa...
I would have pulled an epic lol-face if the mime guy at the end messed up the jumping trick and ruined the take for everyone.
So do the people in white come with the console or do we have to pay extra?
@funkster505 Your right, it took me a couple times to watch, they are all projections. Probably a hell of a lot of pre production.
It's the Greendale human beings...
lol i love it
Sooo... now we need to buy this PlayStation Move tool, a projector, and dedicate an entire white room, white couch and white table for a "unique gaming experience?"
lol he brings him a drink
You guys see the mime dude? LOOK UNDERNEATH HIM.
There should be a disclaimer- "People in white suites not included with the PS3"
*LOL* @ the end
Exactly. That's why I came here. To copy the link and paste it in the comments on the Microsoft video on IGN.
Mimes sold separately.
mind = blown, bricks shat
1:13 Haha
@sourav93 "shot in one take" means they did it all in one continue take, no cuts, no edit. It doesn't mean they did it in the first try.
Camera position monitoring and adapting projected environment? Well, I think I'll have the soup today...
thumbs up for the fuckin' dancer @1:11 which made the best part of the video btw :D
wanasa ya shabab wala... :)
haha, look at the mime at the end of the video! lol
this makes me miss my ps3 even more!
@kalgakas How so?
Making a curved wall with stable building material isnt easy
@kalgakas And as for the lagging: Have you ever even played online on a PS3? Multiplatform games have usually less or the same amount of lag as the 360 version would. And when it comes to exclusives the PS3 very often uses dedicated servers, something the 360 doesn't, meaning there is pretty much no lag, ever. So in reality the console with lag problems is only ever going to be the Xbox 360.
lol @ the mime at the end.
i
I like how Kinect is a copy of the eyetoy even though the eyetoy did absolutely no 3d depth perception...
The 1st one was the best 1.
That funny clothes... i swear i almost watched Breaking the Girl (Red hot Chili peppers)
has anyone ever considered using a curved room to eliminate seems
it must be a braviaTV default ambilight mode
@rdelgado41 Makes sense, though I still think the english used was a bit misleading. So basically, even thought it was the 17th take, the was video was comprised of film from only a single take i.e. no mix and match. Anyways, thanks for the clarification :-)
@GimmesomeRoy
It's just a fun experiment without serious purpose and nothing new to be honest - same for many silly Kinect projects. It's also a merketing campagn since it was made by Sony.
It's not meant to be used for gaming.
of course. though batteries are not included.
yeah when i turn my xbox on i can play not sit through some creepy acid trip
he looks like adam kramer in videocopilot xD
@generix83
Why would you even be looking at that part of their body?
Like it when brands do cool stuff. Still think of gettin a 360 instead tho lol
@Madonis and i thought the dude at the end of this video was funny.....holy shit lol im crying
because of space!
Awesome experimentation with interactive mind stimulating media.
Who needs drugs anymore, with the future like this?
0:50 that must be how jesus walks on water
Bella!................WANT!!!
@helioxdjr
Ha! I think I'm the only one who got that joke without googling it..
You win, sir. ;)
凄いです!!シェアさせて下さい(≧▽≦)
So the putty patrollers found a job
the mime at 1:14!
@GimmesomeRoy In le future. If we only made stuff that would work here and now then we'd still be in the 50's
We will have robots...
@Mrari17
Tis true sir. No post production.
Kinda reminds me of The Truman Show lol
0:55 shuma gorath
Is it............?
i dont get it..
0:52 lol wtf
America got talent
360 has no free online, so you're wrong!
在家裡就可以拍電影!!
i bought a ps3 there werent people in white, i want my money back
@GimmesomeRoy You also need a lot of actors dressing in white as well.
"We were funded by the Video Store of PlayStation® Store to make a series of movie related videos using 'Immersive Imaging' which takes 3D projection mapping as its starting point, but gives the viewer a supercharged experience with the help of the PlayStation Move controller."
Why?
and kinect is a copy of the ps2 EyeToy U MAD BRO?
im confused
So we need what a bunch of projectors and then to stage them properly and then all our rooms furniture and stuff needs to be white and then with a lot of retrying to set it up right we might get to see the walls bleed etc... I think a really good helmet or glasses that allow you to view 360 degrees makes more sense and will look better to the home user. you can blow apart the walls eyc and shoot aliens flying over your head from the couch
Lsd trip
