Best team game I have seen out of Chicago. And finally Cardoso playing to her potential
she avoided foul trouble so got to play more.

@@shanelshavers4086 5 is her position. Reese can't stretch the floor so she too needs to hang around that area to be useful in the offense. Cardoso doesn't have a jumpshot either but she can do other things that you expect a center to do like make layups and block shots better than Reese.
The Sky and Reese have conspired to destroy Cardoso's career. Reese gets more attempts than her every night. Tonight Reese 3-12 and Cordoso 8-11. How on earth do you not give 20 attempts to the one shooting 80%? If you did, Sky win easily. But they care more about the ESPN coverage Reese gets them, so they are willing to lose and willing to sabotage Cardoso
@@Daniel_Capital they for sure are trying to prop up Angel for her to have a ROTY case and a lot of people are encouraging her stat padding. Today though I feel the coach gave a fair chance to KC. You have to remember that Reese's 12 shots are more like 5-6 chances as she shoots then misses grabs rebound and then shoots again. The coach would only play KC 20 odd mins every game and AR would be playing the entire game. Today they both played 30+ mins
Cardoso needs to get out of there just like Mabrey did and she will flourish more in a better environment than the toxic Skys

Watching most of Chicago game highlights, you would have no idea if Reese had a good night. She’s purely all about stats. Almost no impact offensively, no impact in moving the ball with only 3 assists. Getting all these rebounds doesn’t matter if they don’t end up with points at the end of them. Nearly all of her offensive rebounds she puts right back up which is crazy since she barely averages over 10th a game.
Unfortunately these part time watchers/full time YT commenters don't see all the misses as they happen like we do while we watch the full games. Reese has been comically horrible at shooting in the first half of 3 out of 4 games after the break. It is so obvious that she did not work on her shooting and spent the break admiring herself on tiktok. She starts off 1-7, 1-8, and 0-5 shooting. She was absolutely NOT a factor in the first half of these games, but then comes back in the 4th to stat pad. 🤣

This game showed me two things:
1. Chicago is DEFINITELY missing Mabrey.
2. Cardosa is a far more efficient player than Reese and needs more playing time going forth.
1) Nope. She played in spurts when with Sky. She was mostly wide open except on drives. I use to wait for her to take advantage of the double team of Reese and knock down 3s, but she didn't. The other player they brought in seems to be settling in nicely.
2) Team schemes are to double Reese. This leaves Cardoza open of picks and other plays. If the Sky isn't winning off this teams won't care. 🤷🏿♂️. If they win you will see scheme changes.
What I saw is a supposed serious team barely win over a team that people clown. 😉

As a huge Fever fan I was very interested in this game and it did not disappoint. One of the best non-Fever games this year. Will be watching the rematch on 9/19.

I knew everyone would come hating on Reese but it was Carter that costed them that game with her selfish play and crucial turnovers ... every time the Sky got back in the game it was with Carter on the Bench .. in the first half, it was obvious she did not want to get Reese involved .. she dribbled into traps and then threw bad passes when she couldn't get her shot and that was thru-out the game .. Carter plays to score, as if she has a point to prove..She doesn't play to win .. there's a difference

Angel, the average fan does not care in this century about a basketball player who specializes in rebounding. My God, Rodman played 30 years ago. Kobe, Lebron, Steph Curry, KD, Hardin they all changed the game. Now it is about scoring and 3-pt shots, penetrating and kicking out, creating your own shot, assists, making stops in the 4th quarter. Reese is a dinosaur, she would be really good 20+ years ago. Rebounding does not sell tickets, does not produce big ratings, does not make you a superstar. Reese, work on your shot girl, your team needs buckets.

I said it before the Olympics. The key to the Sky's future is the development of Cardoso. All the trolls that want to f--k Reese came for me. I love Angel. However, she's out of shape, her offensive skills have regressed since LSU, and she's too concerned with the fashion show before the game. So happy for Mabrey. She did the right thing getting out of there.
So Reese is out of shape even though she grabbed 20 rebs the last 2 games and 3 games if you count today which she is the only player in women's or men to ever do that in a 3 game span. Cardosa is a good player but they need them both. The women's basketball is like the men's game in the 80 and 90 meaning inside out game...They will learn to play together and people will see. Reese offensive game has not progressed she just has not figured out somethings and she will. Next even at LSU they did not use Reese fully because if they did they would have won against lowa. Also bringing someone's outside passion in the equation sounds like jealousy from the outside. Finally Mabry wanted to leave because she did not want to rebuild so the sky positively honored her.
Almost forgot the future is developing both Cardoso and Reese because they can compliment each other go watch the spurs twin towers back in the day. No team right now has anybody that will equal up to them once they get it and they will you can already tell they are figuring it out. They need a true point guard because carter is not it, they need a 2d person like a Pao Pao and one more person who can really play the 3 position. I give them 2 more years and they will be a problem for the whole league.. Heck they are already giving the best teams the blues and they have not even figured it out yet.
A win is a win but there is no way Connecticut should be eeking out wins against the Sky. Chicago has had one of the last place offenses since the Mabrey trade. The fact they got off 80 on Connecticut and were in a position to win is not ideal. But then again, that's only if you believe Connecticut is a real contender...which I do not.
