Chennedy is a real hooper. The bench is Sky problem. Win or lose Chennedy is a problem for any competitor.
Hooper or no she has to learn how to be a leader of her team and see more than her own opportunities. A real leader makes those around them better and not just drop 30 a game for their own stats.

No one in the league can guard Chennedy Carter. What a game!
She's explosive but the key is wearing her out. She's exhausted by the 4th quarter and you have the ability to force errors on her or just try to frustrate her. Both strategies are a bit of luck due to how freaking dynamic she is. She has energy that can make or break a game.

Kelsey was the highest score of the game (combined 28/points + assists).
CC is good at that. When she's having a bad shooting night because they're double & triple teaming her, she becomes a passing machine and lets her team put up points while she draws the defense to her.

IDK if many remember Chennady Carter in college at Texas A & M? but she was unstoppable. Her WNBA career didn't turn out like I thought it would, but in this game here she showed shades of the player I knew she would be

Kelsey looked like she fired off 40 points today. She was lit. A'ja definitely won the stats for the night, but Kelsey undeniably was the #1 motivator for the Aces. Her shots just jumpstarted them a few times. KP still ballin'.
Come to think of it, 18 points is almost 1/4 the team's final score + the 10 points from 5 assists giving her a combined score of 28 kicked into the game.
Damn. Maybe that's why it looked closer to 40 for me! LOL
SHE SET A VERY STRONG SCREEN ON ANGEL THAT ALLOWED AJA TO CUT TO THE BASKET FOR THE GAME WINNING LAYUP.

They gotta tell Reese to stop shooting the ball and they might win. And I say that respectfully in terms of the game of basketball. When you are a combined 7 of 28 the last two games and you lose both by a combined four points, it might be better for Reese to pass the ball out to the hot hand like Carter today instead of continuing to shoot when you are consistently missing.

Very exciting game! Right down to the wire! Who says the WNBA is boring? Angle Reese has 22 rebounds. That's a decent number with 11 points to go with it! Not bad rok! A'Ja Willson was all over the court, showing what a force she is! It also looked like there were plenty of bums in the seats!

Angel has played and was/is a starter of the Chicago Sky from the jump. Not Chennedy. She has more performance stats and playtime. Of course she will be higher. She has the proof to back it up. Now, next year, with Carter being a starter, she will chance only if Reese somehow doesn't improve her game on the Sky's team within that same time frame
Check out the WNBA's advanced PIE ratings. Carter comes in at 15 and Reese at 26. It's offense and defense combined. Carter would be even higher if the Sky would give her the ball.

A'ja is the MVP, but I dont think the Aces will repeat as champions. Either the Liberty or the Lynx will win it in my opinion. Reese is a moose on the boards! People can't deny her talent for rebounding. Three straight 20+ rebound games is the WNBA record.
Aces gonna 3peat just watch and also liberty not getting past Connecticut their defense is probably the best right now but I believe the lynx playing a1 but they not doing anything in the playoffs ...hideman is a liability

I would not have had Kamilla guarding the inbounds but say so she does not and someone instead nails a jumper that was hot. It's really no different.

Great game. Carter finally, at least in the second half played with focus and energy. Coach T Spoon needs to adjust, playing basically 5 players and subbing 3 in for minimal minutes is going to turn against her as the season comes to an end trying to get that last playoff spot

Chicago sky would probably have clinched a playoff spot by now if the coach worried more about winning games than allowing AR to stand pad her rebound count.
While I agree, AR is one of the best rebounders in the WNBA right now, it is unacceptable to grab four offensive rebounds and in the process draw in four Las Vegas Ace players and continue to attempt to shoot when their are three open teammates.
Also, carer and cardoso are connecting as a dangerous duo that needs both players at the same time. Every time both players were on the court, they would take off in points from the aces.
That was a solid game. Sky had no business even getting that close to the Aces (home game or not). The Aces got hosed on a lot of calls. They barely squeaked it out in a low-scoring game.
Chennedy...damn...if she can control her violent temper, she's gonna be a GOAT. Somebody needs to pull her to the side and tell her that she doesn't need to be so aggressive. She's got a very full bag. I love watching her play. She's a bucket and she proved it again today.
A'ja shows what makes a great a great. Even on a slow night for her, she STILL is a clinch player.
Reese did a lot better. Still a lot of missed shots, still a ton of rebounding her own misses, but she managed to break single digits scoring again.
Allen...the most underrated player on Sky. She put in work today when they needed it.
Cardoso! Again, SHE'S the one (with Chennedy) who this team needs to build around! She's a Pandora's Box of bad news for any opposing team if they just use he better!
And Kelsey Plum...even though A'ja out-statted her, she undeniably was the driving force and the hardest working player on the Aces today to reel them back. She struck terror in Sky's hearts when she'd drive that ball.
Great game, shouldn't had been that close, so kudos to Sky coming within striking distance. The Aces played poorly, Sky gave it their best. Sky didn't lose this game as much as the Aces laxed a lot and just poured on the Championship sauce at the end of the game and showed why they are great.
Whats weird is that you appear to be objective; yet you and all of Clark fans make this silly claim that it’s somehow a negative to get one’s own missed shot. Most of her rebounds are defensive and most of her offensive rebounds are from other players missed shots. It’s like you guys insist that this is a negative aspect of the game.
Her FG% is 39%. Clarks is 41% and 32.9% from the3 point. Angel is typically closer to the rim; however she has to shoot against players who are 6’3 and taller while Clark is typically taller than the person guarding her.
Reese also is more of a defensive player. Clark is considered an offensive “threat”yet she has significantly poor shooting. What she is also now known for is passing yet her net assists are only 2.3 given her turnovers. Their team is under .500 just like the Sky even though the Fever has much better shooters than the Sky has. Clark is athletic and no one can take that from her; however, as we saw yesterday against Lynx she has a lot to develop-just like Reese.
So when you guys make these bold claims about how great Clark is while incessantly disrespecting Reese it makes you guys look ridiculously ignorant.

But seriously, it's (to me at least) not a good thing to get credit for missing a shot when say 4 of those attempts in one time at the hoop could've been passed on to another player that's known for making easy layups (like Cardoso for example).
It's not only the individual player's missed shots (plural), but it's robbing a more efficient player at making that point.
I say the same thing about Dantas & Samuelson on The Fever so please don't think that I'm being biased here against Reese only.

Personally, and I'm just speaking for myself here of course, I don't do percentages. If somebody makes more points that contributes to wins (like A'ja did tonight), I don't care how many misses they get. If they miss and don't contribute significant points enough to win a game, then misses matter to me.
Clark has a poor 3-point percentage right? But she's like #5 or #2 in the league for most 3-pointers made. She has well over 80 3's made and that's just in the first half of the season so if she misses 5 of them, but sinks 3 (which she averages per game) that's still 9 points which in and of itself is big when added to her assist points and her regular 2's and her near-perfect free throws (and she gets fouled alot).
So, I take my judgement of stats which might run across the grain for typical WNBA fans in the context of the greater good.
Most turnovers in the league for Caitlin Clark? Absolutely. But put her in with Taurasi & Bird & LeBron & Harding & Luka. It's what greats do. They handle the ball at the highest rate of any player on the team and are the most pressured by the defense.
See how that bad stat doesn't affect the rest of her game though because she's literally the highest point contributor in the league (even over A'ja) and that's as a rookie?

With all due respect, and I base my personal assessments on stats not feelings, Angel Reese is a horrible player.
40% of her rebounds are from her own misses and her double doubles don't contribute to game wins as has been evident in 4 of the last 5 losses Sky has experienced.
So Reese's best accolades don't contribute to team wins. Some argue that they contributed to Sky being stagnant in 8th place since they drafted her last year so she hasn't moved the needle for Sky.
I don't have to prop up Caitlin Clark to talk about Reese's numbers. I'm not the one who piggybacks Clark's name to Reese.
Clark?
Her records (plural) speak for themselves...all 15 of them. Clark wins games for her team. Clark took the worst team in the WNBA with two first round draft picks and all stars already on the team and moved them from worst to well into playoff territory.
I'm not even going to talk about her personal accomplishments.
Realistically, Reese isn't even in Clark's league. We could compare the top 10 Stats where Clark crushes Reese in 9 of 10 stats. We can talk about how Clark is in 3 Top 5 boards (as a rookie) and Reese is only in 1. We can talk about their scoring for the season (Clark - 540 points/Reese - 395 points). We can compare Clark's turnovers to Reese's missed layups and #1 blocked player in the league.
Clark would win all day, everyday and twice on Sunday so I personally don't do that. It's not fair to Reese to compare her to Clark.
Is Reese a good player? For herself, yes, but when she's on the bench, Sky scores shoot up. Don't believe me? Just watch her games. She hogs the ball and keeps trying to make a shot and loses the shot and Cardoso & Chennedy & Allen (all 3 guaranteed buckets) don't get to take that shot.
Why do you think that Chennedy & Allen stopped Angel's double doubles streak before the break? Why do you think Chennedy stared at Reese in her face and dribbled the ball out with 17 seconds left to play while Reese was wide open and handed it off to Allen who also held on to the ball for the last 6 seconds to deprive Reese of one more double double ending her streak?
Because they got fed up with losing games as Reese prioritized her own stats over the team's wins.

HOWEVER, having said all that, watching Reese play on the All Star team was a sight to see. THAT'S the Angel Reese that I saw people talking about and she was awesome. I was cheering her on with every shot she made.
Granted, she didn't have a stat to pad in that game and she came on at the end when everybody else was already exhausted, but she still, for the first time that I've seen, played like a pro.

The Sky definitely should've won that game, but the refs wanted the Aces to win. I'm proud of Kardoso, Allen, Carter, Onyenwere , and Reese for really playing hard. They really miss Mabrey and could've won their last two games if she was still on the team. Playing Bantam instead of Carter in the final minutes was a big mistake by coach T-Spoon. Also not having Kamilla guard A'ja on the last play was a big mistake.
But Caitlin Clark is averaging over 25pts 10 assists and 5 rebound since the Olympic break

Cardoso deserves so much better. 5th on her team in shot attempts while Reese goes 4-16, shooting 25% for the 2nd straight game but getting tons more attempts. If cardoso got those attempts Sky would be 18-11 instead of 11-18
