@6:40 Everyone wants an extra 2 inches🤣. A thought that might help get that TM a little deeper. Lay that amazing Amped Outdoors battery on its back and put it UNDER the aluminum plank. You could strap the battery to the board to keep both stable. That should raise the rear and lower the front of your mount. It might be just deep enough to avoid cavitation when you are near the stern.
Finally you got one been wondering when we would hear your review since we love all your vids.. we have been wanting to buy one of these and have been doing the research since last year but they are not available to see in person unless you drive up to NYC, do you know of a place to look at this in person ? keep up the vids they are very informative !
I got over a dozen vidoes on it, anything you may want to know, here is the Playlist Sea Eagle FastCat12: th-cam.com/play/PLfXm-PtTlrvwp7RvezS3FLfJj0auj5c7v.html
Catamaran single-engine cavitation has nothing to do with shaft length. Cats need twin engines to get clear water to the prop. By putting a single in the middle you get a lot of aerated water causing cavitation. To fix this you switch to a custom 4-blade prop. I know this quite well as I used to have a custom fit-out Nautico 18' Cat with a Yamaha 50F. The 4-blade prop I had made was stainless.
We've encountered similar Rev fluctuations with other small boats and engines. It's partly due to the nature of small craft with limited power - factors like choppy water, seaweed, and low fuel can all impact engine performance. We've observed this across various small boat types, including V-hulls, catamarans, skiffs, and small plastic boats. However, this isn't a major concern with a full fuel tank. Even in challenging weather, you can comfortably cruise at 80% throttle and maintain a speed of 10 mph. Notably, the Rev fluctuations are significantly reduced at this throttle level, which aligns with the manufacturer's recommended cruising speed.
Aliex, How do you like the Fastcat compared to the Tuffy? How does it compare to the Autopilot? If you could only keep 2 boats/Kayaks would the Fastcat be one of them? You seem to be really enjoying this boat.
@@maldrury8313 I like it to be a bit faster, tuffy hits 18 plus, gonna try the fishskiff16 next, I think that's the one thats gonna get register, personally I'm looking for something I can transport on my trucks bed and go 20mph. This boat is nice, it shows can be treated like a kayak, just doesn't fit the void in trying to fill, if only it could take the 9.9hp
@@harold0723 there are like 10 instances in this video that it shows me barely reeling. I have watched so many hours of other people fishing and they are always ripping the line. I caught a snapper here, actually two, they bite on the drop, if I was always super reeling I would not catch them.
Many of the cudas were caught on the pause too, you can tell if you watch the video. When you rip line fast in these areas you tend to catch Jack's, not so much cudas, Cuda like a steady retrieve maybe I should rip the line lol 😂 all the time and avoid them 😊
@@lyerlya I didn't measure that but it can ran super shallow, it floats higher than most vessels since it is an inflatable cat boat and the motor is 15 inch shaft, doesn't need much to get on a plane and less to stay on

Love the boat Alex!! Thanks!!
thank you, it is a nice little boat
they sell extensions for the shaft. Game Changer!!!!!
Eyyyy!! You got the auto boat spot lock??? That’s awesome, I was looking into getting that.

@@FreedomYak I did the final mount it is at least one inch lower but still cavitates, I need at least 42in shaft

The CUDA master !😂. Maybe you are retrieving too fast and only fast fishes like cudas can actually catch your lures ? .
