The other one came up behind it and started swatting at the one getting the drink, trying to get it to resume playing. Just like two kids picking at each other. We see bobcats pretty often.
Wow, you never realize just how super fast these wild cats are. Amazing. He ran for the ball and ran back into the bushes the second time within the blink of an eye, literally. They are probably 10 times faster than that. I wish I could have a bobcat or lynx. Love big cats.

It's humbling and rewarding to stumble upon such a beautiful creature in the wild, but he should have given it wide berth. They may seem playful and interested in you, but they can shred you to ribbons before you can say "prenup." The bobcat was pretty cool though.

I really miss that place; we used to have two foxes that would come around the house... I named them Cyrano and Roxanne. We also had a turkey named stuffing, a doe named peanut and an opossum that used to visit us.
That's what I thought, but according to another comment, this cat is old enough to be on its own, so I looked it up, mom kicks them out at about ten months, then they are solitary, and territorial, and only get together to mate. I think it's a close call, mom could still be around.

I get why playing with this bobcat would be something special, but...you never know how the next person he/she approaches will act. It's best to treat wildlife as wildlife and not get them used to human interaction, because the sad reality is that some people do very cruel things to beautiful creatures like this one if only given the chance.

We had a fox that lurked on the 18th fairway that would invariably steal at least one ball from our afternoon group. It was so common that we adopted a free "fox" drop. Some time later the cart return guy said that they found his den and about a thousand chewed up golf balls.
So you basically found and destroyed where they live? Don't you feel like an amazing human being! The animals were here long before we were. Try leaving them alone to live their own lives. Take pictures and video but don't interact it will only cause them harm unless of course they attack and rip your face off. But to me it would be justified for interfering!

This is an amazing encounter. My game would have been over after this! Once a hawk landed on my ball, grabbed it with its talons, jumped up and attacked it again. I still have that ball.

Haha great video I figured this was Arizona I live north Scottsdale and I do get many bob cats in my yard there such a beautiful Cat that was a very playful bobcat to cool

This is an amazing encounter. My game would have been over after this! Once a hawk landed on my ball, grabbed it with its talons, jumped up and attacked it again. I still have that ball.
