Surely agree with the Pelikan verdict, even their basic pens or "starter pens" are amazing Am afraid I do like the diplomat aero it is a well constructed pen and even like the design aesthetics
I found myself with a chance Montblanc Slimline this year! It needed big nib work but I enjoy the novelty of having a pen brand I otherwise never would! Lovely picks for a top 5 :)

Do you know what year the At Cross Solo is from?? I am interested. I just bought a Shaeffer Targa Lacque made for the Japanese market in Thuya Ronce Blue lacquer with gold trim. I dont know much about it other than it does not say Made in U.S.A. on it!
I’ve a Cross Bailey Light and Cross Wanderlust. I like the nibs on these. Wanderlust is one of my favorite pens in my collection. I’m so obsessed with Pocket pens that these are the only pens I’m buying these days and I may have 50+ pocket pens !

Thanks! Sadly no fountain pens at school, but at home my kids like the Faber Castel Grip and Loom, and Lamy Safari.
