  • Another one of my machines got flopped over while back. Al Quiring came and uprighted it. Guy that was using the machine called Quiring ,and paid for the recovery. If anyone think I tipped it, they have thinking problems. I first started on excavators in in the mid 80's and have well over 32,000 hours on them alone, have never been stuck to where I needed help, and have never rolled, or tipped one over. I own many of them and constantly reminded and aware of the uselessness of many of todays 'meat in the seat' wanna be digger driver scooper 'operators' complete ignorance and lack of any ability.

I've been watching 'Highway Thru Hell' for several years. It's always a pleasure watching Al and his crew and their often difficult recoveries. The man is talented and I dare say the best in BC. Everyone reading this, have a nice Christmas.

The fact that you got "The Man" to shout out your channel is pretty sweet. Keep on keeping man ✌️

I wrenched on a fleet of wreckers many moons ago. Al is in a class by himself, almost. Better by far than any I've seen. Probably a handfull of others equal to him.

Al should have his own show or own TH-cam channel.

Nice to see a recovery without all the dumb electric over hydraulic boom noises.

I was hoping for their D9, and not some of your equipment. Glad no one was hurt!

Yikes, buddy's lucky he didn't flop into a car or have one careen into it. Always a struggle having other people run your gear.

Well that one didn't take a 7280 grapple yarder and a 7230 loader to get it back on the road, lucky.

Nobody teaches anybody anymore, that's the real problem. It takes time and effort to do that, like months to years. There are heavy equipment schools but they teach you the controls, not what to do when you're off flat ground or shit starts hitting the fan (I'm not knocking knowing the controls though, being able to run both levers and both pedals independently is super important). It's just a symptom of all the problems in blue collar industries and it shows where they're going. Mining, and oil & gas, you're in if you have all the pieces of paper and can pass a stupid test ("What's the best bucket angle for digging?" "What is the ideal amount of swing angle?" Whatever works best in the moment, chucklefucks, nobody is tracking back and forth 4' to get the optimal bucket angle). Construction companies are owned by guys who've never swung a hammer. Same scenario for a lot of plumbing and electrical outfits. All that matters is you always wear that almighty safety vest and kiss as much ass as possible. We're all fucked, boys
