What do you think about this watch compared to its predecessor, the DW 290?
Functionally better, but without the 90s techno goth style that made it a cult.

Yes I agree, it's a good looking piece. I currently own a "Casio Royal" but I swapped out the resin case for a solid bronze and Sapphire crystal.
I have the silver one & really like the fact it has a mineral crystal. I think it’s a cool, sci-fi looking watch. Mineral crystals usually come in more expensive G-shocks. It reminds me of the robot “B-9” from Lost in space cause of that bit around the pushers.
I also like the mineral crystal. Shows it’s a step up from standard Casio plastic and is also more shatter resistant than sapphire, if not as scratch resistant.
Official standard issue watch of Colonial Marines-looks good with an M41-A pulse rifle. Also issued to synthetic Bishop-hyperdyne model 341-B.

Love it. i purchased mine last year, and i enjoy wearing it. Yes, i do, baby, my casio, i do also own the first mission impossible casio. I bought two no regrets there. Quirky, study piece....yeah, it looks good on you. I'm new to your channel, and it's a great review and content until next time.

Loads of features, well built, comfortable strap and wear, 10 year battery life, 200m water resist, mineral crystal, handsome looks, cheap. What’s not to like? Highly recommended.
I like the looks of the DW-290, but it’s feature poor, officially only 2 year battery and the legibility is much better on the DW-291. Yes prefer this to its predecessor.
Me too! Probably the toughest Casio there is before G Shock. I do wish the little analog display was more legible though. I seem to always have trouble with it.
I have this but find it a little too big. But nice looking watch for sure.
It is a nice watch for the money, but I did end up selling it!

This would be a dependable tool watch in the event for certain.
Not worrying about getting any place on time in that scenario.
