Nicely done! I used to use rattle can clear coat for outdoor stuff, but it just didn't hold up, so I've moved to a two-part automotive clear, which really does.
nice, an easy addition to that would be to punch a dome from behind where the ring hits the plate so you have a small gap between the two for finger tips to clear. great to see you at the hot stuff
I like the texturing on the ring a lot, it looks kind of like satin type finish in a way. I hadnt considered texturing then forging before, the forge alters the texture with scale etc, so a very nice touch. That is a very tasty looking bit of spring you have there.....I remember seeing some on a train once and thinking bad thoughts about how to aquire some to use for tooling ....it would have been a rough ride after lol thanks for sharing
Glad you like the texture. The clear coat somewhat lessens that but after some use and weathering it should be obvious. I bought that old spring and have only used a couple of small pieces so far. Thanks.
Happy Thanksgiving to you! I know it's not a Taiwan holiday, hopefully you still get some Turkey maybe. One of my favorite grinders the Makita 4-1/2" with a flap grinding wheel on it, just like the one you were using. This video you used several of your different anvils,
Happy thanksgiving!! Do you think if you were to quench the flat plate it could change the sound some? I know it’s just mild steel but worth a try..💪🏼🙏🏻❤️ Everyone, plz have a safe travel ❤
When buying it, I was told that plate is mild steel but after working it, I feel it may be higher carbon stuff. I'm not exactly sure but I think that if it is tool steel that quenching may indeed change the sound. Something to maybe try... Thanks.
Very nice Glen, you are truly a professional!
Thanks for your kind comment.

Thanks for sharing that tip. That could work well for a piece like this.
Clean, simple and elegant! Nice work, Glen!
Thanks so much Steve.
Nice, clean, simple, like always, thanks Glen
Thanks for continuing to watch.

That's an excellent idea and something I didn't think about. Next go round I suppose. Thanks so much.
Great project and best way to say "Thank You" to friends who have helped you achieve your dreams. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your Glen!

Nice to see some one make something besides a knife.
I'm really not a knife guy - just not my passion and I'm not real good at that. So I appreciate your comment. Thanks for watching.
Great job. Thank you 😊
Thanks for watching.
Dad Joke Warning....what a pair 🤣
Haha! That was a cheap joke by me, maybe in the Al Bundy style... Thanks.
I don’t know if you have a Thanksgiving day where you are from but if you do I hope you enjoy it. Thank you Sir
We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here but I appreciate your wishes and hope you have a great holiday season. Thanks.
Howdy Glen, Happy Thanksgiving. What Knockers!
Haha! Just one of those too easy, silly jokes. Thanks Crystal for your support and have a great holiday season too.

Thanks Ross for your holiday wishes - the same to you. I like that angle grinder since it's slimmer than most.
If you made 2 of these and put them together, you'd have a couple of nice knockers. Oops, you said that at the end. Great minds think alike.. lol
I'm sure this easy joke has been used countless times so we might as well have our turn. Thanks for all Ron and Happy Holidays.
Happy thanksgiving!!
