The movie is incredible but the book just takes it that much further. It explains the inner dialogue and Angels inability to forgive herself and find herself worthy in not only her husbands eyes but Gods.

For those who love reading, I would suggest you look for the book. It's deeper into how amazing God's grace that we,yet sinners, are called His righteousness through beloved Son Jesus Christ 🙏🏾
This is a VERY good book, I have read many times. I enjoyed this movie more so as I have read the book which provided a deeper understanding of a very emotionally deep story. Anyone who (ie, most people) who have felt, regret, loss, or weakness before CHRIST, lost love, cannot help but feel for Angel and her story, its simply wonderful...Who doesn't want fateful love, a gift from the ALMIGHTY. Been married 25 years to the girl of my dreams, after many wrong turns.
Jut found this site, I have read the book several times, breaks my heart every time I read it. Never thought it would be made into a movie.

i read the book first & sometimes the movie just doesnt give you the emotion that a book can put in ur imagination....the actors arent right, the angst & love isnt expressed so u feel it . theyre not believable, etc... BUT this movie was wonderful. i felt the actors were perfect in their roles. i do still love the book more. but i recommend the movie too.

The book was one of the top 10 books I have ever read (and I am 62, and have read 5-10 books a week my whole life. Trust me...the book is better than the movie.

The movie was filled with so many emotions and I was surprised by Michael's love for angel, he accepted her even after knowing what she was doing in that palace.. she understood that she didn't choose that profession. He loved her and waited for the right tym to have an intimate relation with her. He waited for her even though she left her twice
I haven’t seen the movie or read the book but this reminds me of Hosea in scripture. God told Hosea to marry a woman who would become a prostitute and unfaithful to him. And after she had gone and was all used up, God told Hosea to take her back. So he bought her from slavery when she was at her lowest and took her and loved her as his wife again. (This was to model God’s covenantal relationship with Israel who was “whoring” after other “gods.”)
