The Ruined King trailer near the end of the video was actually for a turn based RPG Riot released.
Im just gonna point out something cool about it - It's NOT Riot themselves that made this game. There still quite fresh iniciative called "Riot Forge" which basically works by the rules of Riot gives their IP to other, small game studios to adapt into games. So it's those small studios that make those games 100% with riot just overseeing them. The Ruined King was released last year, and was made by the studio *Airship Syndicate*. There is currently 2 games released from Riot Forge (Ruined King / Hextech Mayhem) and at least 2 more revealed that are in development (Song of Nunu / Convergence)

Btw if you are wondering about the invisible sword from the first trailer here is a bit of an explaination. Sylas, the one in chains who storms the fortress, is a mage who can absorb and use magical abilities. He used his magic to manifest Garen's sword, the guy in armor, because it's made of magic or at least contains magic.

Garen's sword is not magical. It's his ultimate, that summons holy sword, that Sylas stole. But that holy sword is coming from Kayle, not from Garen. If Garen used magic, he would be thrown into prison long ago.
@@AppleBaron no no, in the lore Garen never used his ult, what happened in the cinematic is that Garen's sword (and his Armor and everything coming from Demacia) is made of petricite, a material which absorbs magic (Galio is made of petricite and when absorbs enough magic he wakes up) and what Sylas did was simply absorb the magic the sword had already inside, hence the form he was able to make was the same sword (?

The Spirit Blossoms ones (from the girl talking about dreams to the two brothers) are based around a festival that allows you to have a little talk with the deads for a short time in order to get a closure and stuff happened every year in one region of Runeterra (Ionia ) but after a war that Noxus (other region) started on Ionia, the land got so damaged that the festival never happened in 12 years (the whole region is sentient per say, and the festival occurs when the spirits blossoms bloom and gives the spirit a chance to cross over their realm)
Yone, in the video with the white hair wasn't him actually, he and his brother (among others champs) got skins based around legends of the region, Yone and Yasuo get skins of two brothers who fought to death (so, no that different from them) and so
And the backstory is that Yasuo was top tier samurai in the place, and even learned the Wind technique but he was given the duty to protect his master Souma, and he didn't do it because he left (with his approval tho) to protect the whole village from the invasion and the Elder died from a wind technique and the only one that knew how to do it was Yasuo, so when the war ended Yasuo started running because his own people thought he killed the Elder, eve his brother , who was very honorable as you can see, so much that he was willing to chase Yasuo and kill him for it, Yasuo killed him instead in defense and Yone instead of dying got revived by an Azakana (a lesser demon who feeds on the doubt and anger from the people and ultimately controlling them) but Yone beat him up and ended up having the charge of "living" only to kill more Azakana in hopes of learning how to rest finally or else

That isnt Ahri. Ahri is vestaya that drains life force from her prey/friends whoever is around canonically. The fox represents the reaper in Ionia and looks different in every culture. You know her as Kindred.

That's most likely a Vesani, Ahri's people, or something related to them. The Vesani are a mystery. In the lore it''s implied that the Vesani act as guides to the afterlife and guard the Soul Gates or Death Gates or something

Content produced by Riot is copyright free. The thing is, some songs are not fully produced by them and that's why the artists hold the rights of the song. So you get copyright strikes by the artists not by Riot. These songs are Zedd ignite, Imagine Dragons songs, I think the breath cinematic, and also the latest worlds video with lil Nas x.
Any other song by Riot originally produced by them is really ok, like KDA or other worlds song like rise or Phoenix.
Also that Ruined King trailer was for the rpg game
warriors song WAS written for Riot and available for FREE on their website tho - or at least it was back in days. The original version i mean, not cover in cinematic.

The spirit blossom was not only a skin set but the big event of that year. it included new champions who where part of the lore ( lilia and yone) and advance the canon history for yasuo y Yone, also setting in motion yasuo and Arhi leaving ionia and going to bilgewater to be part of the Ruined King RPG game, that will start the next year great event- The ruination and the centinels of ligth
Also, the "protector of the land" are the KinKou, Shen being the leader of the order, protect the land of both spirits threats or also protects the spirits from the people in the physical realm (also the Shadow Order could count as more ruthless and violents protectors but using questionable ways)
Ruined King is a standalone RPG. It's pretty good, too. If you want to play League without playing League, that's a good way to do it.

In the Ruined King trailer they are on Bilgewater, place where Ahri and Yasuo were headed(?
ruined king was a seperate game exploring the lore events around the ressurection of the ruined king (Viego). The book 'ruination', that was released this year, explores the origin of the kings downfall into madness when his wife died, his own death and the start of the ruination of the blessed isled his actions caused (which then turned into the shadow isled). The videos you guys already saw around the 'sentinals of light' are the end (so far) of that same story, where a group of people come together to defeat the ruined king after his ressurection, when he has already lost his once human mind and is consumed fully by the desperate search to restore his wife's soul. Then there is the video 'Thresh unbound', which takes place after the ruined kings (latest) defeat by the sentinals. It's not at all clear from the video's you guys see, but Thresh is largely responsible for helping the ruined king persue his mad ideals and destroying the blessed isles, orchastrating his ressurection and syphoning his power after his defeat.

The Gauntlets on the canon lore (not Arcane) required a massive strength to use (hence all the equipment she has) and she used the first time without help so... She is strong even without the gauntlet

The end of the Yasou cinematic was a teaser for the Ruined King game. A story RPG game in the league universe. It was a really good game and a really interesting story with good characters.

I would have to say that the one thing that did kind of sour the experience of these LoL reactions (I watched a few of what you guys have up) is the one lore guy (Hman) not actually knowing much, if any, of the actual lore. thus, I would love to turn that negative into a positive by requesting that you guys watch some lore vids! trust, the actual lore of Runeterra (and yes, even some of the skin lines) are actually really f-ing good! I've seen some others in the comments requesting the same thing. it would be very interesting to watch you four react to full lore, as it would add so much to what you have seen already thus far.

Even ignoring the MMO stuff, League has a ton of great lore! If there would be more series like Arcane based on other regions, that’s where they’d come from
Invested $4600 since 2011. Fun fact about the Warriors video. Lux used her ult on the sky to call Galio since he is supposed to answer to a large amount of magic used in Demacia. She also exposed herself as a mage at the same time since she was hiding it.
On Take Over, its a bunch of ex Pro Players on their best champs training the future players of League. Which is why they are happy to lose to him. Lots of easter eggs in there.
I didn’t see anyone else comment it but the “invisible weapons” is Sylas stealing magic from Garen’s sword (in game Sylas steals ultimates) and Garen’s sword is made of a material called Demacian Steele that uses something called petricite which absorbs magic (which is also what Sylas’ chains are made of)
If you got through the trailers Necrit videos for the mmo are maybe something for you. They summerise the lore and world in a short and very entertaining way.
PS.: Some artists that made some of the claimed past songs are now in a bigger label and now get claimed. They didn't claim stuff before that. I didn't know that either.

yone was released along the spirit blossoms skin, and the first spirit blossoms animation was about the skin, the one with white hair that battles the demon was his skin, but at the end is the actual champion teaser. the next animation was the champion reveal, i think. it also teases the ruined king game, with yasuo and ahri traveling together.
and yeah, the ruined king animatic is technically a character reveal for viego, the ruined king, but this is mainly a game trailer.
also, if you are going to watch tft animatics, why not watch legends of runeterra too? or will that be a separate vid? i love tft stuffs, but legends of runeterra is more related to league and its lore.

Ok so, some answers. League of legends does not have DLCs. Its a free game that ships new content every 2 weeks, in the form of balance patches and cosmetics. Cosmetics are their main source of income, which is why they invest so much into advertising skin lines. Most of these story events (such as ruined king or spirit blossom) are just that, events. They feature new skins as well as unique story driven in game events. Spirit blossom had a dating sim type of event, while ruination went with a more linear visual novel story (it flopped hard lmao). Most major skin lines have events attached to them, although they only do a big one once a year (2020 was spirit blossom, 2021 was ruination, 2022 was a star guardian event). All events last a month.
From 2019 riot started making more games, and 2021 was the year they brought out their first story driven game "The Ruined King" which is a prequel to the in game sentinel (ruination) event. Thats the game you watched the trailer for.
TRIVIA: Ao Shin from TFT was a cancelled champion. So glad riot put him on game still even as not a playable champ.

I think i spent around 100-150 euros on league. The system they have now makes it possible to get all purchasable skins for free , you just need to be nice to people to get keys and chests you get them only from playing good or have a friend that plays good. It takes a lot of time but it's free :)
As far as the music being claimed there is 1 rule that never fails in League videos. That is if the music group Imagen Dragons are involved its getting claimed. 1 sec or 1 min dosent matter its getting claimed.
Not sure what they were thinking with Rells backstory when they made her. She is very cool and all but just like some other champions backstory she dosent have any proper training and while that in itself wouldent be a problem. However if Rell were to get a proper training it´s stated that she be able to beat Mordekeiser in a 1v1 and that is just absurd when u realise that the entire northern continent together couldent do that unless Leblank hadent betrayed him.
If ya'll wanna catch up on League Lore you should really watch some of Necrits more recent videos. They're really good prudction wise and I think he doesn't a good job explaining things.

Ruined King a Leauge of Legends Story is a stand alone RPG game that is basically a prequel to the big and first cannon narrative Event of 2021 the Ruination / Rise of the Sentinels ...
But because of delays including the pandemic it came of after the events, on of the reason the the event ended up as a bit of a disaster ...
