Thorough and well thought thru review. Enough technical geeky details and balanced points of view. Bravo on elevating the quality of your content. Now in the league of Kew!
I was just watching videos reviewing the Vapor, and toward the end realized we are in the same area, based on where you are playing. Nice videos. I need to try the Vapor!
Excellent video! Love the dissection and insight into the construction of the paddle. It's also fun to see clips and thoughts from other players and your podcast cohost. I'm going to be buying a Vapor day 1 (if I can actually get one before they sell out lol).
This is my first time watching one of your full paddle "dissection" videos because of my interest in 11six24. It's not beyond me that the "Pickleball Medicine" TH-cam channel is going full in depth on literal fascia layer dissection of these paddles, microscope examination that gives me traumatic flashbacks to histology and pathology. Even comparing the difference in core cells in size, thickness and organization almost like different types of muscle fibers. Time to describe the dissections in axial, coronal and sagittal orientations! Lots of great work here. Keep it going!
Unfortunately Vapors sold out in less than 1 minute 🤬. I clicked immediately at 9am when it came up and it put me in a check out line and then said sold out emptying my cart.
Great review!! Love your dissection and explanation of cell wall thicknesses!! Do know the cell wall thickness for the J2K+ ? Since Vapors sold out in under a minute at launch I was very disappointed in not getting one. So I’m thinking of pivoting to the J2K+ . Thanks again!!!
Can you give me your recommendation on cutting a handle to make shorter. Seems like so many good paddles out but just can't handle a 5.5 handle. Do you think it will change the paddles play if I was to shorten a pegasus power to a 5 inch handle?
@@PickleballMedicinecontent is awesome though, listened from start to finish, thanks D! My biggest concern was the break in period and becoming unusable and you ended those reservations with clear cut data that I absolutely appreciate
Have you played with the bread & butter shogun? If so, does the power vapor play similar? I currently have a shogun and I’m considering purchasing the vapor power tomorrow when they release.
@@PickleballMedicine That doesnt help haha! Coming from the mod/3S.. What would you recommend? I am looking for more control but worried about moving away from Elongated because that is what I know.
Do you think these will sale out fast?? I hear on 1500 are to be released tomorrow. Do you think I need to be online right at drop time?? I want the vapor!
You are the only guy showing us sagittal or transverse x-sections of NEW paddles. Do you know how incredibly valuable this is? Brands have been selling us broken paddles for the last 1.5 years and very few consumers seem to care. No destructive tests at USAP. TH-cam reviewers only show extreme examples (like the Oni), usually after being used. Yes, if the 11six24 isn't wounded from the factory, it is more likely to last. If you went to Dick's and bought five Gen2 Joola Perseus paddles today, they would all have crushed cores, new. Joola would also sue your A*s if you showed that. Add a $ button, so I can show appreciation.
I’m currently playing with the engage pursuit pro v2.0 courtesy of your top 10 paddles. I really enjoy that paddle and like the feel off the face. Would you say the power is similar to the new 11six24 all courts or is it less.
I play with a Monarch All Court and was looking to upgrade. I figured I'd just get the Pegasus because I am used to that shape but now I am torn because of all of the good feedback I have heard online about the Vapor. Decisions 🤔 Also did you add weight on either the Vapor or the Pegasus when you played with them? If so what was your set up. I play with 3 inches of 1 gram per inch tungsten @ 3 and 9 o' clock on my Monarch All Court.
I demoed the Vapor all-court today and was blown away by it's performance. It felt like it literally made me a better player than I am...shots that I felt I didn't execute perfectly resulted in shots that looked like I did hit it perfectly. I'm coming from the Mach2 Forza which i loved, so I am leaning to buy the Pegasus Power, but after today I'm torn between that and the Vapor power. Is the Pegasus as amazing as the Vapor? Also, do you know if the all-court line uses the same honeycomb as power line?
Appreciate your thorough review and getting multiple people's perspectives. Need a recommendation: I have last year's 11six24 Hurrache-X Control+. It has been a very good paddle and I liked the elongated shape and handle as at the time I was playing a lot of singles and that extra length was helpful. I am looking to maybe something more in the All Court veing and it doesn't have to be a long handle again. How would you compare the Vapor power (or all court) vs something like the Honolulu JK+ or Ti+ (which seem to be the other paddles I am leaning towards.
Those are good paddles to consider.. I really like the Vapor All Court, it's probably my favorite of all 9 11six24 paddles. The vapor power is probably second overall, and is also a great paddle. The advantage the vapor all court has over any gen3 paddle, including the Honolulu ones, is durability. The Honolulu j2K+ and j2ti+ paddles have very, very incredible sweet spots and have a super pleasant feel, but it's certain they will break down over time, sp a bit of a risk there. I find the handle of the vapor sufficient for what I like!
I noticed that the Vapor has a 5.75 inch handle, and the Hurache has a 6 inch handle. A long handle is very important to me. Can you compare their feel? If the Vapor’s handle is long enough, I’d probably go with that for the higher twistweight and lower swingweight.
need 4th model shorter handle, 8 inch face and 12/14 mm and I do appreciate your paddle teardown, they do look well made and should be durable, may just give up my wally world nomex
Great video. If I am 2.5-3.0 player right now, would you recommend the vapor jellybean, AC or the power version. I would like to have power and pop but still want good control for resets and at the net play but don’t want the paddle to be overly poppy. I don’t want to always have to think about hitting the ball a certain way to keep from popping up. Which paddle would you recommend. Also the paddle that you would think it is best out of the above three please compare that one to the J2K pro version and which one you would choose.
I would probably recommend the Vapor All Court or the Pegasus All Court. The J2K Pro may have a slightly better sweet spot than those, but I think both of those have higher pop and power!
Wonder how one is a "power" and one is "all court" I just ordered a replacement for my older Hurache X Control + that is still working OK but showing some wear now but they are now called All court i guess cause of their initial naming system was confusing.
They did change the construction of the Hurache-X Control+, so as a heads up it's not just a name thing! David explains the reasoning and effect pretty well on their Instagram, so i would give that a look! Basically they moved the passion of the fiberglass and it's not thermoformed anymore, making the all court more plush and durable. The hurache "power" model, by comparison, is thermoromed and has a different layering system and core, making it more poppy and powerful
@@PickleballMedicine Well i sent david email asking when they will be back in stock and he said they were in stock as another name. Disappointing if its not the same as i already ordered the all court.
The Pagasus Power has more of a full feeling, and probably a touch more drive Power with a touch less pop, while the 3S has more of the classic hollow-type foam feel.
10:04 is this much weight recommended for this paddle? I thought the talk was that it was a paddle with a decent sweet spot, but I've never almost completely wrapped my paddle with weighted tape like this before, and I would feel it would add too much swing weight for fast reactions at the net. Does anyone make a solid paddle that doesn't need all of this weighted tape to tame it down?
The honeycomb core is so important. Companies cheap out on them and leave so much performance on the table just to salvage a few dollars of margin. Except 11six24, Paddletek, SixZero etc. I can tell the Pulse V is trash inside because it plays like trash.
Pulse is just another broken paddle. Mine felt like trash. Returned immediately. Used my friend's and it was fantastic. His had presumably broken, and Dustin showed how that happens. So if you are a bro, you love it cause it's hot now. If you have common sense, it's just a broken paddle that should not exist.
Getting the Power Vapor tomorrow but have been play testing the CRBN TFG2 and Proton Flamingo vs. my Gearbox Pro Ultimate Hyper. The TFG2 is okay but I was surprised and have been enjoying the Flamingo. Haven't played with an elongated paddle in a couple years and this required very little adjustment. More power/pop over the TFG2 but very controllable with some crazy spin.Lent it to a buddy the other night for his league play and within an hour he ordered it. I could main the Flamingo but on paper the 11SIX24 Power Vapor looks to be my next paddle.
I also have the Flamingo and the TFG2 - love them both. More power on the flamingo (feels better from the baseline) but the TFG2 feels better from the kitchen. It’s more maneuverable and the pop is just right. The spin on both is crazy good. I am debating getting the Vapor power as well and seeing how it plays and send back the Flamingo
With that paddle dissection, you are definitely jumping up into the top tier of the nerdiest reviewers. Love it!
It's my new years resolution to transform into full nerd this year! Thanks for the support, my friend.

Outstanding vid of the guts.
Amazing paddle quality.

Congrats! Great video !
Cool stuff! Hope you do a full review on the all courts too
Agree with the change to 5.75"! If they did this I would recommend to anyone.
Seconded. I play with a 14mm CFC Hurache Control+, and I have pretty big hands. A 5.75" handle would be *plenty* of room for a 2H backhand.

I just started playing and ordered the Pegasus Jelly Bean over the Vapour. Hope that was the right choice.
You have chosen...wisely.

Why did your group take the Vapor over the Crbn Trufoam 2?
If you don’t hit the trufoam exactly square, you don’t activate the fiberglass. So it’s plays inconsistent
Does the vapor slow down hand speed at the kitchen? Never had a Hybrid before , currently have the elongated from 11six24.
