Yeah, the question really is in the end wheather it translates to the table or not. In my opinion you have to be careful with almost any training you do, even on the table. It's possible to train wrong or that you are deceived by weight lifting numbers. I used to do one arm pull ups, when I was more into calistenics, which were for sure a good base for AW. But now I armwrestle more and do more AW specific exersice and when I tried to do my one arm pull ups again I couldn't do them anymore. Even though I for sure got stronger at the table. The question is also effectivness. Nobody has unlimited recourses. Like Plamen describes correctly in my opinion your latdrag becomes very strong of course but this becomes of minor importance when you neglect other parts of AW in the process of doing so. Or even worse like Plamen describes you even start to wrestle in a inferior less effectiv way, because of conditioning of your brain. So what's Danchos opinion on this? Does he still do many pull ups?
In my opinion, one should try to replicate his pulling style even when you're doing your specific AW weight training. This way you'll also protect yourself of unfavorable movement habits. Also, you should record some of your sparring sessions and objectively analyse your weaknesses and movements you should improve of. I believe Plamen did benefit from these exercises, because they mimic the way he pulls on the table. For others they may not be as much beneficial. These days Yordan, doesn't do much pull-ups. He thinks they are beneficial, but not not much for himself.
Big fan of Plamen here from Portugal 💪
💪💪
Plamen!

No problem, mate!
Очень сильный и техничный армрестлер. Было бы интересно почаще смотреть на тренировки сборной Болгарии

I think that's probably world record pound for pound, even though it's not full motion!
He is really unique 💪
