Your son has grown up before our eyes. Enjoy him because he will be off to college and be on his own after that. He is blessed to have such great parents.
I live in Nova Scotia Canada and I have found out when working at a fish plant that the fish is cooked at a extremely high heat in the can and that is why the bones are soft and you can eat them and yes the bones are good for you 🇨🇦
Mandy your videos always makes me happy. When I was going through a very rough time, I used to look at your videos on repeat and it just made me really appreciate being a stay at home mother and wife. I got the motivation to just enjoy the moment when feeding my family with joy. Thank you.
You just made me smile. My heart is so happy. I pray you are doing better and I'm so humbled that I was able to help you through a rough time. Sending you so much love!!
@@MandyintheMaking hi there. Your tarter sauce, do you buy fresh dill every time you want to make this sauce, or is there some way to always have the ingredients on hand? And do you use the onion in it or leave it out?
Tinned salmon bones are so soft I just mash them up with the salmon. I can't wait to try those salmon patties. Salmon patties in the past were made with mashed potato so I know exactly what Steven means. I also added fresh ravioli to my next shopping delivery, those toasted ravioli had my name written all over them lol. So glad you're all on the mend, Covid is terrible. I love my air fryer so much, I bought a dual one, so now I have 3. I've done away with my oven and now just use a combi oven. I love roast potatoes, fries, just about anything in it. Its changed my life completely. Thank you soooo much for sharing xxx
I can relate to the Billy Goat thing. My 15 year old, BLONDE grandson decided he was giving up shaving for the summer. He looks like he fell face first in a cotton field. Can't wait to try these dishes. We've been living out of the air fryer during heavy humidity here in the north. It's been muggy most of the summer.
Alma the Scamma. Can be on the computer all day watching 100 youtube channels but can’t get a job cuz she’s too sick. 🙄Instead resorts to scamming good Christian people out of money and items.
I make salmon patties ALL the time and my entire family loves them! I don't mind deboning and skinning the salmon b/c I know they are going to be GOOD! lol I've never air fried them before. Usually I just shallow fry them on the stove. I've also never used mayo. I usually just shred my salmon, add an egg, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to mine them fry them. I'm definitely trying this method! Thanks for sharing!
On your salmon patties, you can leave the bones and skin in, also use the juice with it. I make salmon patties all the time. You can use crackers instead of bread crumbs if you want to. I never used an air fryer, but I do have one without direction book. You have given me some ideas on how to use it. Hope you guys get feeling better soon.
Hey, Mandy and Stephen, I love your videos, because you don’t edit out the good parts. You’re a riot, and always make me laugh. 😂 Growing up, salmon patties were a special dinner that we all loved. Those little round bones are vertebrae, and I’ve always loved the little bit of crunch they add.
Being raised in a Catholic family with 12 children, we didn't eat meat on Fridays during Lent so salmon in a can was used in a favorite recipe...salmon loaf which included bones and ALL! We loved it!
I'm so glad you are on the mend. I wish a full and speedy recovery for your entire family. I was happy to see this show was air fryer recipes. They look wonderful and I can't wait to try them. The reason those little round bones are in the canned salmon is because the cannery crams cross sections of salmon into the cans, skin, bones and all. Those round bones are the vertebrae of the fish. I don't like to eat them so I always remove them. You should be able to make this recipe with canned tuna, as well. My favorite sauce for salmon is a mixture of mayonnaise and Sweet Baby Ray's brown sugar and hickory barbecue sauce. I start with a mixture of 2 parts mayo and 1 part SBR's BBQ sauce. You can adjust it to suit your own taste. It's also a great dip for sweet potato fries, regular fries, chicken strips, fish sticks, a spread for sandwiches, burgers, you name it.
Had salmon patties all my life. From my Gma ,mom and I,don’t make them very often. Watching this makes me want to make some. We have always used red sockeye salmon I don’t know if they even carry it anymore.
Been making salmon patties forever. I only use Red Pacific Salmon because pink salmon can have quite an assertive fishy taste...also, momma always told me to smush all the bones and leave them in cuz they're very high in calcium and only really remove the skin, all the fluid and skin went to my Lab, Lola, what a treat..recipes vary but I like them all. Feel better Mandy and Steven
So happy to see you feeling better. Hope Steven gets better soon. Now, definitely going to try the ravioli and oreos , but I absolutely love samon patties. I debone and take the skin out. Then I use crushed up saltines and eggs, onion powder and fry in a skillet. My Mom always made these. But after seeing the air fryer method, this is definitely the way I'm going to make them the next time. They looked absolutely divine!! Thanks for the new recipes. Just bought a new air fryer, my old one got knocked off the counter and broke into many pieces! See we all make messes in the kitchen! Love you guys and will continue to pray for your recovery from that vicious bug.God Bless
I make my own tartar sauce. For sweet tartar I add one cup of mayo and 1/3 of a cup of sweet relish mix, and you're ready for pickle tart tartar sauce add pickle relish. This is so easy and really good and fresh. Give it a try.😊
We have salmon patties every once in a while with canned salmon. I give you props for going through and picking the bones and skin out. I hate that part so hubby does it. But yeah I have had salmon from a can since I've been young. It's cheaper and it a good shelf life. So kudos Mandy! Hugs and prayers for a complete sickness recovery for you all. ❤
Hi Mandy. So happy to have you back❤ The oreos I've seen Jessica do a long time ago. Yummers. And yes, since canned salmon is processed, you CAN eat the bones. They're good for you. Coming from the Pacific northwest, canned fish is a go-to. Fresh can get really expensive.
My mama always made (and I bet his mama did, too) salmon patties with crushed crackers and worcestershire sauce, and, before I was old enough to voice my disgust, she would leave the bones and skin in - apparently it made more patties - it was the '70's. Anyhoo, I can't wait to make these; they look like they'll be fresher tasting and, actually be good, rather than that cloying weird concoction my mama made. I grew up hating fish, but now that I'm Catholic (we don't eat meat on Fridays, except for fish), it's fish every Friday. This will be a cheap and easy way to eat salmon. So thanks for sharing this. I'll let ya know how it went!
So glad you and yours are feeling better. I wanted to let you know that my family loves canned salmon. I do remove the small round bones, the back bone I believe. The smaller bones are very soft and that is where your calcium comes from. I paused your video just as you was about to make your dinner. I hope you enjoy, and thank you for the air frier recipie. SOOO glad you and Steven loved this.
Mandy, we use our air fryer all the time for everything. We love salmon patties, but we like the red salmon better than the pink. It's a little more pricy, but much better. Also, try air fryer Twinkies. Just put them in the fryer at 400 for 2 min. They are awesome! Love watching your videos and glad you are feeling better and back on Tues.🥰❤
I just love watching you guys. You are so much fun, and the recipes are awesome! My mom used to make fish patties the same way you made the salmon patties, but she used canned mackeral. She never used bread crumbs or panko, though. She used crushed saltines. These salmon patties sound so much better as I love salmon. I loved the mackeral as a kid, too.
Glad to see you all are feeling well enough to continue taping and cooking! I love watching your videos and the recipes I've tried are delicious! When I make salmon patties, I clean the skin and as much of the bones that I can find. I also add a can of tuna, onion, egg, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon pepper, egg, and panko or bread crumbs. My mom would make creamed peas to go on top with milk, butter and flour. It was a stinky dish, (from the fishy smell) but it was delicious and we all loved it. My adult sons (3) liked them as well growing up. I'll have to try that in my air fryer. Looks fantastic!
Salmon cakes are one of my favorite childhood memories. My mom made them with pan fried potatoes. I will have to try them in the air fryer. All of the recipes look amazing. Thanks for all the effort you put into sharing good tasting food for our families, even when you and yours are feeling under the weather.
I grew up about an hour from St. Louis, where toasted ravioli originated. I love that you loved it! I've definitely had deep fried oreos but that recipe looks even tastier to me, I am definitely going to try it!
My parents made these. We ate gravy with our. I love them but they smell the house up when I cook them. All the recipes looks delicious! I hope you are well soon! Have a great rest of the week.
Hey Mandy, I don’t know if you know but the clear button on the outside of the air fryer on the basket is the latch for it. If you push it forward while you open, it will open a lot smoother. ❤
My husband said the salmon patties looked really good. I told him my mom used to make them. Sometimes with salmon & sometimes with tuna. Since I didn't have salmon, made this with good quality tuna. It was awesome! Especially with your tartar sauce recipe! Bought a can of salmon today so I can try the real recipe. Had some leftover tartar sauce, cooked potatoes & green onions from another meal. Threw it all together & made a great potato salad.
I can't believe you live in the south and haven't made salmon patties! :) The bones are not even noticeable in a salmon patty. I don't pick them out. And let me tell you... the best topping is cheese sauce. Like that cheddar sauce in a can or kind of like the kind you get on nachos at the fair. It delicious! Once I was presented it that way one time I can never go back. Try it!
Happy you two are feeling better. I loved salmon patties as a child. I like the bones smashed but my spouse doesn't like the idea of bones in the patties. I am going to try several of your recipes in this video. Thanks and blessings.
So happy to see ya'll back!! We love, love salmon patties in the air fryer. Sometimes I remove the bones, sometimes I don't but I always remove the skin. 🤷♀️ I also use the same recipe to make tuna patties or canned chicken patties..also just as good & a bit cheaper too!!
I hope you all feel better soon. Those Oreos and raviolis looked good. I'm not a fan of air fryer salmon patties so we pan fry them on the stove in some oil. Those bones in the canned salmon are good too. As a kid my mom and I would fight over who got them lol. Even now we will send eachother pictures of them if we make salmon patties.
Hi Mandy! So good to see you guys feeling better :) I grew up on salmon patties, with fried potatoes. I made them for my family while the kids were growing up and still make them for my hubby and me. I use crushed up saltines, egg, salt and pepper, and dip them in some corn meal before frying. Delicious! And your reaction to the bones/skin in the salmon was priceless ;) I'm going to try the air fryer to cook them! Thanks for all the recipes - always trying to use the air fryer more.
Perfect timing! I just got an air fryer yesterday! 😁 My husband’s fam introduced me to the canned salmon / salmon patties. I used to be more weirded out but I still take out as many bones as possible
Salmon patties were a staple in my household growing up. Mom always removed most of the bones (I do too ). We ate them smothered in creamed peas. Yummy! I love that dish to this day, but in my family, only I eat the creamed peas. I'll try them cooked in the air fryer next time.
So sorry you all had COVID! Hoping you have no long term affects. All the recipes look great. I grew up eating salmon patties every Friday. Its a family favorite. Never seen mayo added to salmon patties. May have to try that. I use crushed crackers , or bread crumbs. Your patties looked really good. We have fried potatoes, green beans and cottage cheese. Lol weird combo but been eating them That way for at least 65 years😊
Thank you for the toasted ravioli in the air fryer. I was born and raised in St. Louis and enjoyed this down on the Hill for years. I now like in the mountains of New York and this can be a great taste of my childhood. Can't wait to try this one.
I'm so glad y'all are feeling better ❣️ This video seriously couldn't have came at a better time for me because I had decided I was gonna attempt Salmon Patties tomorrow in my air fryer for the first time but had no idea how long to cook them for or if it would even work lol soooo thank you so much for posting this. Me and my babies one just turned 3 and the other will be 4 in a few days love watching y'all every week, they will even rewatch your videos everyday lol ❤️
Hey Mandy, I grew up eating those salmon patties and loved them. Once I was grown and made them for myself, I was freaked out by the bones too. My mom convinced me they were fine to leave in and you don't even notice them once cooked. BUT my husband is unwilling to eat them, so haven't had them in years. I'm inspired by your video to make up a batch for myself.
Glad you are feeling better and are back. You’ve been missed. We don’t have an air fryer and most of our family members don’t but I’ll pass your video along to those who do.
Hi Mandy..Just finished watching your video.. I just had to tell you, here in Missouri we are the inventers of toasted ravioli....You should look up where to order toasted ravioli & get some...They are amazing...
I love my air fryer. I use it for about everything. The bacon comes out so crispy and without all the grease. Anything that can be done in the oven can be done in the air fryer. Glad you all are feeling much better. Covid is definitely no fun.
Did some quick checking since this matter of bones in canned salmon was new to me but they can be eaten and do not have to be removed. They are there to help keep the salmon moist and also have healthy byproducts for nourishment. This was all new to me and your recipe made me think, so I guess your recipe causing me to “think” was another “healthy” byproduct! Thanks, Mandy! Stay well!!!
Because of you, I purchased my first air fryer and I’ve been using it like crazy and now because of you I am going to try the chicken dish and the ravioli dish. Both look amazing.
Hi guys so glad that you all are feeling better. 🙏🏾 Mandy I can't believe that you never used salmon in the can to make salmon patties. Love, love, love these. You will enjoy them. Thanks for the air fryer recipes.
Mandy, glad you're back and that you all are feeling better. Regarding the salmon Pattie's, I always buy the canned Chicken of the Sea water packed salmon....no bones or skin. Just be sure to drain. I just started making these this past year. Didn't think I would like them, but I do! I love my air fryer also!
Bought myself a nice air fryer at a big discount, so I'm excited to try all these recipes! Would love to see more air fryer baking ideas if you have them!
So glad y’all are on the mend! I love my air fryer. Especially for chicken. You said that your air fryer only preheats at 400 but I have a Cosori too and you can adjust the temp. Just press “preheat “ then press the temp/time button and it will let you adjust the temp. It will adjust the time on its own. Hope that I explained that well!
Well l don't use my air fryer often but after this video l will sure give it another try. Those all look delicious to me. Soecially the salmon patties and the ravioli.
Finally tried the salmon patties today and what a surprise! Absolutely delicious!! I was hesitant because I tried a recipe years ago that was horrible, but you’ve not failed us with any of your recipes so far, so gave it a try. This is a definite keeper in our house . Thank you Mandy.
Mandy I loce all your videos. Thanks for sharing this with us. I'm always looking for air fryer recipes. I love salmon patties, my grandma mKe them she always dump the can i a bowl added a egg some crackers chopped onipn salt and pepper. She fryed hers on the stove with a littlr butter. So good. Glad to have this recipe now. They all looked so good. Hope you all are feeling better. Was it covid ?
I just wanted you to know that I made the chicken nuggets today from canned chicken that you did in one of your videos. Actually I made 3 batches! The first two batches are gone! My son’s family ate them up! This last batch I split in half and added some ranch dressing powder to second half, delicious! Thank you for bringing air fryer recipes!
Instead of salmon, you could use canned tuna to make the patties. My grandmother made tuna patties for us and they were delicious. Great video. I'm going to give the ravioli a try. They look wonderful. Thank you Mandy and Stephen for another great video. I'm glad you guys are on the mend.
My Mom has used canned salmon for years to make one of my favorite recipes. Salmon Cakes. She fried hers. I was lucky enough to be able to make them myself before she died. I usually put the formed patties on a plate and stick them in the frig to set up some before cooking. They seem to hold together better. I have not tried them in an air fryer but I may try to next time. I have a Ninja Multi-cooker and it has an air crisp option. It has been really helpful this summer so I didn't have to turn on the oven as much.
I have a Ninja Oven Air Fryer and use it almost every night instead of heating my oven. This one does have fry bake roast toast and more. Broccoli is amazing if u let it crisp a little. Weekly make chicken fingers w bread crumbs or a form of aShake& Bake crispy and delish
Thank you for sharing these air fryer recipes. They all looked delicious. I rarely pull out the air fryer now you have given me a reason to pull it out.
Mandy and Mr. Tater, my daughter and I love watching your videos, We can't wait to try these recipes. I'm sorry Steven's got such bad memories of salmon patties. My mom made them all the time when we were growing up. They were a favorite. She always fried them and I was happy to find a recipe to bake them, much better tasting. Now you made me so happy with the air fryer recipe. So excited. My hubby (who is a picky eater) loves salmon patties. His grandma made hers with the bones still in, I don't think I could do that. Hope you all are feeling better soon.
Your son has grown up before our eyes. Enjoy him because he will be off to college and be on his own after that. He is blessed to have such great parents.
Mandy I just love you and your family. Watch your videos all the time. I hope one day you release cookbooks. God Bless your family.
I live in Nova Scotia Canada and I have found out when working at a fish plant that the fish is cooked at a extremely high heat in the can and that is why the bones are soft and you can eat them and yes the bones are good for you 🇨🇦

What a beautiful comment and response.❤️
Mandy in the making I hope you feel better
@@MandyintheMaking hi there. Your tarter sauce, do you buy fresh dill every time you want to make this sauce, or is there some way to always have the ingredients on hand? And do you use the onion in it or leave it out?

I laughed how you was surprised about the bones, I've been making salmon patties a long time we love them.

So Great to have you back- and healthy again!
YAY, Mandy is back on Tuesday and FriYAY!! I can't wait to try these recipes.
Alma the Scamma. Can be on the computer all day watching 100 youtube channels but can’t get a job cuz she’s too sick. 🙄Instead resorts to scamming good Christian people out of money and items.
You two are such a lovely couple (and Cole is a great kid). I find myself smiling during your videos. Thank you.
😊 thank you
You make me think of Sandra Lee when she used to do all her “almost homemade” recipes. Loving all of this.
I make salmon patties ALL the time and my entire family loves them! I don't mind deboning and skinning the salmon b/c I know they are going to be GOOD! lol I've never air fried them before. That sweet boy looks so like his Father. I especially the eyebrow action! Precious Family
I LOVED eating salmon bones/vertebrae/cartilagewhatever when my mom made a salmon dish. I loved crunching them 😸
My friend's mom used to make mashed potato pancakes with her salmon cakes it's a great combination
That sounds like a great combo.
sounds like dinner to me!

Had salmon patties all my life. From my Gma ,mom and I,don’t make them very often. Watching this makes me want to make some. We have always used red sockeye salmon I don’t know if they even carry it anymore.
my mom always used canned salmon. Bones are ok you never know they are in there. yummmy!
Cole is so cute. He got brave & made a rare appearance. Thanks for sharing your videos. Glad you're all over the 'crud'.
I’m glad everyone is feeling better. Thank you for the recipes

I make my own tartar sauce. For sweet tartar I add one cup of mayo and 1/3 of a cup of sweet relish mix, and you're ready for pickle tart tartar sauce add pickle relish. This is so easy and really good and fresh. Give it a try.😊
You can hear that crunch on the ravioli

The bones are the best part! Salmon is completely cooked, bones are crunchy! Some won't eat them anyway. I've always loved them. Good calcium!
So glad you all are back and feeling better.
Hi Mandy. So happy to have you back❤
The oreos I've seen Jessica do a long time ago. Yummers.

Try adding some crushed red pepper or diced jalapeños to the salmon patties....deliciousness with a kick. Yum!
I like adding Sriracha. I add Sriracha when I make tuna salad for sandwiches, I also add onion flakes for more texture. Yum
My grandma always served sliced tomatoes on the side of a meal. I don’t see too many people doing that anymore. I love garden tomatoes 🍅 yummy!!!!
My mother made these when I was growing up. I always liked them. She did the same thing you did in preparing the Salman.
Salmon cakes are one of my favorite childhood memories. My mom made them with pan fried potatoes. I will have to try them in the air fryer. All of the recipes look amazing. We used to eat those when we were growing up in the East. They're perfectly safe, and taste good.

Aw! Glad I posted it at the right time for you! Also, happy birthday to your babies!!
All of these look delicious. I love salmon patties, but have been afraid to try to make them. I'm definitely going to now!!
Nice spritzer👍🏻
My cats love the juice from canned salmon.
Yay!! I'm so glad you got one and are using it all the time!
Hope You All feel Better!! Sending Prayers!! Love All Your Recipes! And The Sweetness of You and Your Boys!!!🥰
If you’re taking all those supplements why did you get sick?
Well l don't use my air fryer often but after this video l will sure give it another try. Those all look delicious to me. Soecially the salmon patties and the ravioli.
Finally tried the salmon patties today and what a surprise! Absolutely delicious!! I was hesitant because I tried a recipe years ago that was horrible, but you’ve not failed us with any of your recipes so far, so gave it a try. This is a definite keeper in our house . Thank you Mandy.
The bones in the salmon are very good.
You never disappoint! These recipes are so simple and I can't wait to try them! Thank you so much!
Thank you, and more Air Fryer recipes please.❤
So glad y’all are doing better! Glad you’re back!!!
Thanks for the air fryer recipes. I got one for Christmas and am looking forward to trying some
Thank you for sharing these air fryer recipes. They all looked delicious. I rarely pull out the air fryer now you have given me a reason to pull it out.
Thank you. Was an UPWARD COACH for 5 years. Salmon patties, once a month with homemade tarter sauce. God Bless and stay safe.
I paused you and went and ordered stuff to make the ravioli! It’s coming soon to my dinner plate! Yum!
Yummy 😊 I'm glad you're feeling better. Prayers for a speedy & complete recovery. 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks! I love my air fryer always trying to cook different things in it. These look amazing and gave me a whole bunch of ideas to try!
I'm 73 and have eaten salmon patties all my life. Yes, I take the bones out ,too. 😅 Those looked delicious and I hope to try them. Enjoyed the video.
MANDY...I love your videos. Just wanted to say, that you can eat the bones in canned salmon. They're soft enough and are a good source of calcium💕
Salmon patties are good with jalapeño pepper jelly too instead of tarter sauce 😊love the air fryer for everything! 💕
Thank you for the wonderful recipes. I hope you and your family all feel well soon!
Looks delicious. I love your family. You guys look like you have a lot of fun together. So happy for you.
Tried the ravioli recipe, all I can say is GREAT RECIPE! I’ll be making these a lot. Thanks!
