Hey guys! So glad you like this video!! A couple of things: 1. In the video I said my name is Val, it’s not 😅 My name is Taylor Ariel, and as you may know I record and produce music in STARSE3D. Would really appreciate if you could follow me on Spotify. I have over 3 albums worth of songs released. 2. If you are in need of session vocals, production, guitar work etc, be sure to check out my Fiverr on my linktree here: linktr.ee/Starse3d 3. Finally, let me know in the comments if you’d like to see more videos like this, I’d love to know!⬇️⬇️⬇️
I like your confidence. You definitely have talent. When you started singing at the end the melody is different. You was born to create music. Have you ever been here to south Florida?
cheers Valerie, it makes perfect sense....I'm reluctant to open up around others when it comes to recording vocals, little did I know that I could just get into my studio, drive somewhere, and record them whenever or wherever the hell I wanted...you just made my day Valerie 🤘
The only problem with this is accoustics. I'd recommend bringing a bunch of pillows and blankets to absorb some of the sound bouncing off the walls and glass. Just put a bunch of pillows around your recording space. Also if you have one of those eyeballs that to over your mic that can help with some (not all) of the accoustic treatment. Its detrimental for good quality vocals. Other than that I can see recording in a car being a great isolation booth simulation. To be honest, being comfortable is 80% of the battle when recording good vocals in my opinion. If you are most comfortable singing in your car. Drive out somewhere you can be alone, use a power inverter to power your laptop if needed.
Ahh mannn I don’t care about no acoustics ‘cus I came from recording in the basement with hollow ahh walls. Got a car recently and would prefer it over sounding like I’m in a cave
Recording in a car: 1. Low RT60 2. Haas effect 3. No standing waves for low frequencies (biggest advantage) 4. Low resonant frequency out of the vocal range
wow, that's a big surprise! Well done on this video. For sure new tech helps make things easier than in the past. I never thought someone would do such a thing but you got many good points here. I assume you have a good battery on your laptop, mine doesn't last so I need to plug in most of the time.
Hi, TheLithGH. The Focusrite is powered by the computer. Charging the computer is a different story, but computer powers the interface, which powers the mic.

Oh hey, and here I thought I was the only one doing this shit lol. You took it a step further with the interface; I just use a shitty walmart mic and then edit in Reaper when I finish all my takes 😂

I love that im not the only one, I have been getting crap for years for making my truck into my mobile recording studio.

I’m so glad to hear that!🤘
Recently had to resort to recording vocals in my car. Love thy neighbors 😅
Nice! Gotta do this!
COOL

Thank you this makes me feel 10x better about recording in my car

Your so right, sound deadeaned acoustics are a lot like a booth. Entertaining, informative video making complex things simple! 🤘
I agree wholeheartedly, especially for practicing and experimenting with new ideas
So true!!
Brilliant! Thank you!
Thats so true. We dont need too much stuff to produce ideas. With simple things you can enjoy a lot
Yes for sure!
I thought I was the only one
Good job on the video - and you are getting recording booth results :) I'm interested in seeing videos on dynamics processing, mixing and mastering.
Thank you! I’ll definitely cover that in a future video🤘

Thank you! My laptop usually lasts long enough if I charge it before hand!
dope! I will take this advice. i was considering converting my closet into a makeshift soundproof room, but this is way easier.
You hold the Mic while recording? No mini stand??
Billie Eilish gets great vocals holding condenser microphone in her hands while sitting on her bed. I don’t see a problem here.
Is that the kamiusagi rope theme at the start?
Ah and i wish you performing Hammer smashed face of canibal corpse again😃
Maybe I will!
How do you power all these equipments?
I can explain more… should I make another production video?!

I completely understand, it’s nicer to record in a real studio, but sometimes the pros outweigh the cons in a portable car studio😃🤘 and thank you!
Do you experience any reverb because your inside the car ?
Hi starseed, what are you using to power your Focusrite?... ahh, I see someone already asked you, lol

how are you recording the audio into your video?
Watch the end of the video where I show my setup😊
how do you power all this?

@@silasfox i mean, for your equipment to last in the car. i use a nt1-a and a sm7b with a volt 276 interface
Diesel
@@koenignero can you do this without rewiring it?
@@yoshaanot sure :(
