Good idea, but poor demonstration of its effectiveness, imo. You're putting the GoPro in 6 inches of water while standing five feet away. Also, you can see that there is an image on the screen even before the "dry end" comes up to the phone, so your product wasn't even necessary in this situation. You should do the bottom of a pool, and show the screen not picking up the feed until you attach the dry end.
    Just my two cents.

Thanks for your input, Matthew. We originally made this video as a quick overview of the product and how to set it up. We have more videos highlighting more applications and depths on our channel (th-cam.com/play/PL_0eNIRsrLl-aVBMRnyr6l1_LHzcNyI-s.html) and on our blog (cam-do.com/blogs/camdo-blog/tagged/marine)
The dry end of the cable will actually work up to a few feet away, which is why you're able to see the image before he actually connects it to the phone (at 0:54 he mentions that you don't need to stick the dry end to to your phone or tablet for the wifi to transmit). So as long as the dry end is near your phone, you'll see the image - though the closer it is, the better the signal.

Actually I make a similar device and it works with phones up to 35 feet away from the “dry end” antenna. Cheers

I've been successful with this by using 10 M of HDF400 coax 50 ohm 2.4 GZ friendly (6.25mm aerial) fully extended and gopro 4 silver at a depth of 3 feet. Now the coax was mounted externally on both the camera (elastic band) and iphone 6 touching the top of the phone. This was a quick test and I'm sure a it will work with a longer length of cable, will try extending this with coax connectors, cable cost £1.30 per metre vat included. As for the youtube clip, its for sure a good product :)

    Too expensive

Hey there - there are certainly some other less expensive alternatives, but we use the highest quality materials. One of our customers recently found out the hard way that cheaper isn't always better - cam-do.com/blogs/camdo-blog/diver-laura-james-underwater-wifi-cable-live-stream

Hello, is it possible in the gopro app to have instant playback delay of for example 45 second?

I am looking for an underwater camera with Wi-Fi that I can hang from my drone with about 20 feet of cable so I can fly over the lake in summer and bring my drone down to let the camera into the water to look in different places to see if there is fish

Mathew Reed, I've not tried to get the system to work with camera submerged prior to switch on but I shall try, camera has to be in wiffi mode though and on, but I'm sure it will work
