I wish Rob could at least release the rest of the story and lore in text form. I never finished Kingmaker and while ShadowGuard also ends on a sort of cliffhanger, it was Witch's Wake that really left me wanting more

@@blueshit199 it's definitely a little different and I really enjoyed what was there.

This one had absolutely amazing potential and fascinating world building. Had it been finished it could easily have become the best singleplayer NWN experience.
I would absolutely pay for DLC if it was ever finished but I also can't recommend it unless someone is interested enough in good world building and setup to a story that they're willing to deal with the fact that there is no conclusion or even climax to the story, only the establishment and beginning of the rising action.
It will be interesting for builders and DMs to look over how well it does certain things, but while the content IN the module is excellent, from a player perspective that just makes the abrupt cutoff more frustrating.
It's been years since I touched it and I still feel very real frustration in not being able to finish it, which speaks to both the positives and negatives.
As an aside, I don't hate the Forgotten Realms, but I am so bored with the setting (especially Faerun) and love to see people taking the game to other settings that haven't been so overdone.

While sometimes it's hard to get the original writer of modules writers consent, I think this one could fly under the radar. Someone could take this original premise and build out.
I get you though. I have a hard time watching shows with no finale. You get invested in the characters or settings but never get the fulfillment of a conclusion. Good or bad. I still like closure on series.

Apparently Rob Bartel's design documents for WW2 were out there on the web at some point but I've never succeeded in tracking them down. The closest we've gotten to a fully realised module in the style of Witch's Wake is probably the Prophet series.

If anyone finds that document, I'd be very interested in picking through that world building even if it wouldn't be entirely proper to create a continuation of the module.
There are a lot of interesting ideas in it that I'd like to see the thought processes behind.
      Hopefully it'll turn up eventually.
Old stuff is still finding its way to the vault for archiving if nothing else, so it's possible it will turn up.

This was a nice module, but it is a shame that you cannot use the subraces in the original Neverwinter Nights campaign or in the 2 expansions.
