Quick question, does this have any extra back buttons/paddles that can be mapped? I tend not to use L3/R3 a lot as the buttons themselves and like remapping them to back buttons if they have them. Thanks for the amazing review, it really helped me out researching which controller to buy. Not taking the case off shouldn't be game changing but sadly it is.
Unfortunately no. If you are on Android, your only option with paddles that is wired would be the Gamesir x2 Pro. If you are on iOS, it just doesn’t exist.

I like to use both a otterbox commuter case as well as a popsocket and I was curious if this controller would be accommodating to the popsocket
The first mobile controller I've ever owned is by MOGA and requires AAA batteries. I still own it but replacing batteries is inconvenient in today's day and age. I want a controller that's compact, I can leave my case on and comfortable to hold for a few hours a session. There aren't too many options out there that check my boxes but this one seems like it will. Only thing holding me back is the price tag because 100$ for a controller is pretty expensive.

Have the backbone one with 7 days left to return it. Heading to the store right now wow this is absolutely insane and also no more dealing with the horrible backbone button that directs me to their stupid app

So glad I haven’t gotten a backbone for the same reason. Seems so annoying to always take off my phone case. Gonna really consider this. Been using an Xbox controller playing with mobile. So the charging cable won’t let you plug it into an iPad?
The cable is purely for charging.

@@cheeseswears It won’t work. That is the one advantage Backbone had. You can change the input to Android, iPad, or PC through its port so it is not charging only. However, they make you pay a subscription for that feature! I don’t think it’s worth it when the controller itself is already $100. Gamevice Flex wins. For the iPad, hopefully you have a PS or Xbox controller lying around and that will work wired
@@terribletimes902 no way? I’ve seen people use backbones with iPads that’s why i was asking but i didn’t know you needed to pay to use that feature yikes lol i rather just use an Xbox/ps controller for the iPad but the gamevice still is all around better then

Wonder if the S22 with an Otterbox fits. It's the only thing that annoys me about my Kishi v1. I'm having to take the 3 layer casing off to connect it to the controller.
I'm even tempted for the new Razer Kishi Ultra which in the details mention it fits certain phone cased, but not specifically saying if it fits the S22 with an Otterbox. Iphones are mentioned a lot when advertising these things 😔
I pulled the rubber clips out of my Razer kishi and put in my phone with it's case on and it works just fine.

I'd probably have chosen this, even for its steep price, if only it had been easily available in my market (Germany, you know, the biggest one in the EU). Because I wanted a really good controller for my phone, and was willing to spend a bit of money, as long as it's worth it. Adapters for all kinds of phone sizes including cases AND passthrough charging AND headphone jack made this sound really good.
But it isn't available, for whatever reason. So while I don't really know why, they missed out on another sales opportunity. And I can't be the only one.
This is definitely the one. All other gamepads require you to remove the case, which is no go. So this is perfect. Thanks for the review!
@manuelm.1816 There's still only the iPhone version available in Germany. For whatever reason! 🧐 I definitely wouldn't want to order anything directly from China right now, for obvious reasons.
I got the GameSir X2 Pro in the meantime. It works perfectly fine, especially the buttons and sticks are good. Clicky and very responsive. It does work with thin cases - my S10+ (big phone) with a Feld-, Wald- und Wiesencase (😂) works perfectly fine, passthrough charging too. Just no fast charging, but no controller does that.
It is a bit small. It's fine for me, but if you have big hands and use the Dpad a lot, it could feel cramped. Otherwise, I would recommend it, if you don't use one of those fancy military grade ballistic armour cases, those would be too thick. 😂

@manuelm.1816 Yeah. Bluetooth is theoretically nice because it's practically foolproof to connect and no possible mechanical issues. But the latency... I've heard of values between 100 and 200 milliseconds. Absolutely abysmal for my taste, and very noticeable. Especially in fast action games like Dead Cells it could make them virtually unplayable.
Too bad they discontinued it... I just gave some jerk almost $200 usd for one on ebay but all of the cases I like to use have screws so there's no way I'm going to take off my case every time I want to play a mobile game

It is very stable even with the case.
Yeah, a hard back like Backbone or Gamesir will be more stable, but it doesn’t matter. I’ve never had my phone slip out of the Flex or the Kishi 1

I’ve had one for a few months. It disconnects from the phone every 5 minutes or so. I use a new 13 pro and take it out of its case. I’m using the recommended inserts. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Looks like this item no longer available. Kishi one so awesome controller. The v2 is not as good. Ended up buying another Kishi v1 with usbc for my iPhone.

I use it to emulate a bunch of games and I’ve never had a problem.
just being honest, everyone is so hype about this new one, I don't own one yet, I'm nervous. I'm just getting into this now. On amazon it only has 148 reviews. I am still undecided between the big 3 .

I was given the Razer Kishi controller fo Free at my old hotel job. Lol 😂 a guest left it behind and never came back for it. So my manager and house keepers knew I was into my phones and stuff. They just let me have it. Fo Free 🤣 Now I own a Razer Edge 5G on Verizon. Never looking back lol 🤣

Yea, I was sold. The latency is very good. It's connected directly into the phone so there's no noticeably Lag.

Unfortunately there isn’t one that attaches to the tablet. The best way is to get and Xbox or PlayStation controllers.

The atom is a great controler but you can't play codm with it

Unfortunately, I did not test on the iPad mini six because it has USB-C instead of lightning port.
@@techbyleon There is a USB-C Flex but given the dimensions of the controller it seems impossible. There’s gonna be no way for the square iPad to reach that connector
It's exactly the controller I expected from Razor for version 2, the same form factor as version 1 but with a jack and the possibility of using large smartphones with their cases, but they released a copy carbon of the Backbone 🤦🏽♂️, (I wonder why Backbone didn't sue them for plagiarism🤔).
