Really enjoyed this video, the new Spectre aircraft have really broadened the Air Corps reach around the world , keep up putting this type of content out please its really informative and enjoyable to watch, great work by everyone .
Really really great cinematography! This is a huge step up in video making and i guess for a lack of a better wording great story telling of missions that the air corps partake in. A video series like this on all aircraft and there jobs would great! eg casa video showing maritime patrol and cargo and air medical runs. Hope to see more!
@@aerchornaheireann534 you know how the air corps need fighters?would it be a good idea to purchase some northrop f5s? They are capable of Intercepting tu95s in irish airspace
Would It Be A Good Idea To Purchase Some Northrop F5's As A Fighter/Interceptor? I Heard They Are Quite Cheap Aircraft And I Think They Would Be A Good Addition
F-5s are completely and utterly obsolete. They could be purchased cheaply, but the cost of bringing the airframes up to spec would be several multiples of the purchase price. For instance, Brazil bought eight single seat, and three twin seat, F-5Fs from Jordan in 2009. The eleven airframes cost USD21 million. The contract to bring up to usable combat status, signed with EMBRAER(Brazil) and ELBIT(Israel) involved USD 153 million. Just under SIX times the initial purchase price. The aircraft entered service in 2013-14. They are expected to remain in service until 2030. We would be better off leasing Gripens.
@@barryglynn8706 We need to grow up, and accept that Irish neutrality is meaningless unless we have a minimum defence capability. And as we live on an island, the Naval Service should be the main focus. However, we also need to be able to at least identify and deter unknown aircraft in out airspace, And we CANNOT do that at the moment. We are dependent on the RAF at the moment. NOT a good look for a supposedly neutral state...
@@barryglynn8706we do need fighter jets, neutrality means nothing if we can’t defend our country if attacked, even Aer Lingus in the 50s would have a better airforce then ireland does now

Do all covid tests go abroad for lab testing?
I heard you guys are getting some fighter jets soon? if so I will 100% be joining the Air Corps when I'm 18!
Don't need shiny toys, these PC12s are far more valuable to us and we need pilots.
