I think your color choices and composition are working really well, I would like to see you push the foreground more by adding in highlights and shadows to create depth, instead of the flat black. When we look at the night sky, the human eye is sensitive enough to pick up on subtle shadows and highlights in the scenery, even if it is back lit by a bright night sky. I think if you made the foreground more dynamic, it would make these really pop. ;)
