    Victoria - I can't begin to tell you how much help we need on the CRC side...!! There are soooo many videos out there to help the CPC peeps but not all that much for those of us doing CRC. Don't come for me over this but I am jumping right in and doing the CRC first. (Not my choice but here we are and I'm so doing this but I desperately need your help!!). MORE CRC VIDEOS PLEASE! Thank you for putting so much of this good content together - you're super helpful to listen to and learn from - you have a great way of explaining concepts. We need more! Pretty please!

    I purchased the course in 2024 and thoroughly watched and recorded all the classes to facilitate future review. However, I fell severely ill around the test period and underwent intensive medical treatment for six months.
    Since I still have access to the recorded classes, I'm wondering if it would be beneficial to re-watch them and attempt to apply the knowledge to the 2025 course materials. I've noticed some differences between the 2024 and 2025 books, but I'm unsure if the core principles remain the same.
    Unfortunately, I don't have the financial means to re-purchase the course. Any guidance on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

      I’m so sorry to hear about your illness, and I’m glad you’re feeling ready to move forward again! The core principles of medical coding remain 98% the same, so your recorded classes from 2024 are still highly relevant. The only differences for 2025 are a handful of code changes, which you can review by checking the annual updates in the ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS books. Re-watching your recorded classes and pairing them with the updated codes should prepare you well for the exam without the need to re-purchase the course. Best of luck-you’ve got this! 😊

    I was wondering if your master class is worth joining if I am not in the US? I am from England and I want to start my career in clinical coding however I’m unsure how to take that first step. Thank you!

      @ContempoCoding  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      My master class and content are specifically geared toward medical coding in the U.S., as the systems, certifications, and requirements differ significantly from other countries. Since you’re in England, I recommend looking into clinical coding resources and certifications specific to the UK, like those provided by the NHS. Best of luck as you start your career in clinical coding! 😊

    Do you know of any way to obtain training in Epic?

    • @ContempoCoding
      @ContempoCoding  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      EPIC training is typically only available if you’re employed by a facility that uses EPIC, as they provide the training directly to their staff. Occasionally, you might find a few instructional videos on TH-cam because someone uploaded them publicly instead of internally, but those aren’t official and won’t count as EPIC training for employers. If EPIC certification is your goal, your best bet is to seek employment with a facility that uses the system.

    Tell me about short courses

      Thanks for your comment! I’m not sure what you mean by short courses and how it relates to LinkedIn, the topic of this video. Could you provide a bit more context or clarify what you mean?

    How did you get the Risk Reduction Coding AHIMA Certification? Is it a long class?

    • @ContempoCoding
      @ContempoCoding  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      What I have is the RAC - Risk Adjustment Coding microcredential. They honestly don't have training for it and to be honest the whole microcredential program with AHIMA seems thrown together too quickly and has become an afterthought. There's no official training. You just pass an online assessment. You can find out more here: www.ahima.org/certification-careers/microcredentials/risk-adjustment-coding/

      There's still people in this industry using a Sears Portrait Studio photo they had taken at a discount with a coupon from the paper in 1997. So you're good. Lol.

      The cost of courses depends on exactly what course you're going through.
