Still got any RC's? Youre actually the one who turned me onto the hobby with one of your old videos! Now ive dived deep into the hobby. So thank you man!
My last house was a log cabin with a metal roof. Everybody loved this house and very well knew in the area. I too ‘loved’ it had everything from a huge shop, garage and pool however the green metal roofs. I hated the metal roofing. 1st year had to re-torque all the screws not too bad all in all but that had become a yearly to do, blocked cell phone service, and when it rained it was loud. Happy now in a new house with asphalt shingle roof. Good video really like the disconnect. That Jeep came a long way from when y’all started on it.
The noise coming from your bandsaw is mostly from the pulleys rubbing against their housing. You can bend the housing back toward the motor to prevent this. I also found that bending the tab that holds the door shut to be a little tighter helps too. Do you get your steel from triple-s in Knox? That's the cheapest place I have found for new material around here.
I like the new logo! Good recognition when small and gives lots of room for variation when big. Would like to see a large print with real axles and tires behind a realistically drawn skull. Or even all surrealistic.
The positive block there is usually called a power distribution block. You’ve made some good progress in the last few videos tho! It’s been fun to watch, keep it up!
Lol Matt that engine bay has become quite the pretty little pickle. Man I love watching you fab stuff and especially watching it all come together for you. Thanks for keeping on
No joke. I was literally thinking right before I clicked your video that I need to get myself some new wheel straps for my Jeep. I'll have to check those out.
Awesome vid. I noticed that prop Rod didn't drop down too far into that socket or that nut that it was dropped into. I think I would add a bungee that would hook and bring a little downward pressure from the hood so that if you got your head under there on a Gusty day it doesn't blow up and fall down on your head I've had that happen before
You should clean your metal before welding or tacking them up. Metal has a coating from factory to keep them from rusting. You can have some very pretty welds that will fail because of lack of penetration do to the coating
Before you put the plugs and wires on make a paint mark @ the top of the boot where it meets the wire and install it, hopefully w/ a click. Measure the distance between the bottom of the boot and the hex on the plug. Then repeat that process for all the others. That's a common issue. Sometimes they don't click but if it's on, it's on. High voltage will find it's way, I hate spark plugs wires😁
Matt I'd bet the dielectric grease is creating a air pocket. Essentially making the plug wires more difficult to install. Try applying the dielectric down towards the base of the plugs instead, just at the interface. That is the beefiest relay mount ever😂.
Awesome can't wait to see this on the trail!! Just another suggestion for the hood spring find a couple valve springs tack a washer on and install on your hood posts just might work.
@@bleepinjeep Awesome good luck, you may need a softer spring tho. I just thought of valve springs because of there size, but I'm sure you'll figure something out.
So i think spark plug boots have a more definitive snap when inside the boot has a dab of dielectric grease rubbed in to lube. Also prevent the rubber from sticking to plug later down the road!!
For crossmembers I prefer to use 2 bolt flanges for some of the reasons you pointed out as far as space and distance off the hoop. Plus the weight on the interlocking is ridiculous. 3rd advantage is super easy to remove. Those interlocking ones can be a bear if anything tweaks. Enjoy watching the build and the trial and error.
These premiere videos are pretty cool. Reminds me I need to get out of the house and go find some like-minded people around here. Over 100k in Jeeps that just sit, Depression sucks...

I would get a hood strut kit for an xj and make it work. Forget about a hood prop. 👍 I made a hood strut kit for my zj a few years ago and ditch the springs. Haven't regretted it yet. 🤘
Matt, you had mentioned this in your last video and I think it’s time to expand the shop. Maybe pour a small pad out the garage door, fix that drainage issue, the noise from the rain, and add some extra sqft. Can’t wait to see the Comanche back in action!
Omg, it's really nice to know that I'm not the only one with the spark plug snap in tactile feedback issue. My technique.. if some of them make that nice snap in and some of them don't, The chances are likely I did it right and yanking them back in and out isn't going to do a damn bit of good, just my two cents, especially if you used dielectric grease. 😎
@@bleepinjeep Die electric grease helps them slide in so the metal clip will "snap" over the spark plug terminal. Also, this keeps them weather resistant and helps when removing the boots down the road.
I realize I'm spoiled , I work at a laser shop and cut tabs and brackets with ease. When I watch someone and cut and fab it all by hand it looks really laborious.

@@bleepinjeep Yes, I saw that in the video. I mean why didn't you use the one you made from the template as your master template? So they would all be exact and you could of cut them out faster. Granted you would have to make the master template a bit smaller to allow for the plasma offset.
