With the 2017 Kia Sportage Offroad The front right and rear left wheel turned without any Grip. The other two wheels have not done anything. AWD Lock was activated.
it wouldnt make big difference anyway. what KIA fcked up was when they ditched 4x4 and switch to AWD.that, big rims with low profile tires was enough for failure. im not saying its bad car, but Mk1 would eat it alive off the road 9 out of 10 times.
@@AsapDayo The "locking diff" only locks the front and rear diffs, they still remain open though and if you lift two opposite wheels off the ground they will spin while you go nowhere.

Das ist, wenn man keine Ahnung von Allradfahrzeugen hat. Es gibt bei dem Sportage verschieden Einstellungen in der GT Version, diese sollten zuvor auch mal Aktiviert werden, bevor man in das wie bei euch beschriebene "Gelände" fährt.
Bringt dir nichts wenn du das gt Modell hast du brauchst Premium mit dem offroad Package dann geht es aber es mit einer gt line zu erwarten bringt nichts

Davon abgesehen verfügt der KIA Sportage über ein anderes System, als man es von anderen Herstellern kennt. Der "Allradantrieb" ist im normalen Modus für die Straße konzipiert und entwickelt. Er regelt wesentlich empfindlicher und sorgt vor allem bei hohen Geschwindigkeiten in Kurven oder auf unebenen Straßen für ein sicheres Fahren. Testet Ihr im Gelände sollte zwingend der AWD Lock gesetzt werden. Der Schlupf der einzelnen Rädern wird hier auch begrenzt. Wie auch immer, dieses Video und die gezeigten Fahrmanöver erlauben keine Urteile über die Fahreigenschaften des Kia Sportage im Gelände.

Es war sehr wohl aktiviert und wenn das der Fall ist, erwarte ich von einem Allradantrieb, dass er mehr kann als die zwei in der Luft hängenden Räder (vorne rechts und hinten links) durchdrehen zu lassen. Ich stand voll auf dem Gas und es tat sich nichts. Natürlich kamen wir mit etwas aufschaukeln/Schwung da problemlos wieder raus, aber das war dann auch keine Herausforderung. Wenn ein Allrad die durchdrehenden Räder nicht wenigstens über einen Bremseingriff abbremst um den Rädern mit Grip Antrieb zu geben, dann ist das System für mich eine Fehlkonstruktion

Es wäre interessant zu hören was KIA dazu sagt. Ich bin mit meinem 2016er schon abseits der Straße im Schnee recht steile Buckel hochgekommen wo ich zuerst dachte, das schafft der nie, aber er hat es geschafft. Nur im Schlamm hat's mal nicht gereicht. Wir fahren demnächst in den Skiurlaub - ich versuche eine Stelle zu finden wo ich filmen kann ob sich alle Räder drehen (es ist nur nicht so leicht im asphaltierten Österreich bzw. Deutschland eine Stelle zu finden, wo abseitsfahren nicht verboten ist).

This front end design is applied to AWD models in Australia, and appears to be the case here too. But this driver cannot drive.

In Mexico All-Wheel-Drive versions have an emblem on the side that says AWD, this Sportage doesn’t have one. 🧐
According to the German KIA "tech guide & price list" GT-Line is only available with AWD, so it must be 4x4...
